The 14 profiles of the following soil types in different zones are collected: brown earths in arid and semi-arid regions covered by C3 forests, yellow earths in humid zone covered by shrubs and forest, sandy loess from arid area covered by sparse vegetation, Ioess-paleosols in arid and semi-arid regions covered by C3/C4 grassland, yellow soils and paleosols in semi humid regions covered by C3/C4 grassland and yellow earths in humid areas covered by C3/C4 grassland. The measurement of δ^3Corg and standardized testing of the organic carbon are carried with above-mentioned profiles. An unified and skewed trend is not observed in the variation of δ^3C values in these profiles. A discussion about the causes of distribution features is held in this essay. [Result] If the measurement of δ^3C in the organic matters of paleosols is adopted in order to precisely rebuild the historical vegetation cover, the kinetic fractionation should be taken into consideration to calculate the 6TM Corg in the prolife from the soils that is exclusively covered by C3 plants; the δ^3 Corg in the organic matters of the sand loess in the arid regions is affected by the contribution from basis; during the long-term decomposition of the organic matters in soils covered by C3/ C4 grassland, the range of δ^3Corg is under 2%. [ Conclusion] In view of the mixed vegetation cover, the profile distribution of δ^3Corg in different geographic periods is more likely to indicate the ratio of C4 plants to C3 plants.展开更多

The experimental treatments consisted of five fertilizer regimes: no fertilizer(control), chemical fertilizer only(NPK), chemical fertilizer with straw(NPKS), chemical fertilizer with manure(NPKM), and 1.5 times the rate of NPKM(1.5NPKM). The NPK, NPKS, and NPKM treatments had equal N inputs. The crop yields were measured over the whole experimental duration. Soil samples were collected from the topsoil(0–10 and 10–20 cm) and subsoil(20–40 cm) layers for assessing soil aggregates and taking SOC and TN measurements. Compared with the NPK treatment, the SOC and TN contents increased significantly in both the topsoil(24.1–44.4% for SOC and 22.8–47.7% for TN) and subsoil layers(22.0–47.9% for SOC and 19.8–41.8% for TN) for the organically amended treatments(NPKS, NPKM and 1.5NPKM) after 30 years, while no significant differences were found for the average annual crop yields over the 30 years of the experiment. The 0–10 cm layer of the NPKS treatment and the 20–40 cm layer of the NPKM treatment had significantly higher macroaggregate fraction mass proportions(19.8 and 27.0%) than the NPK treatment. However, the 0–10 and 20–40 cm layers of the 1.5NPKM treatment had significantly lower macroaggregate fraction mass proportions(–19.2 and –29.1%) than the control. The analysis showed that the higher SOC and TN in the soil of organically amended treatments compared to the NPK treatment were related to the increases in SOC and TN protected in the stable fractions(i.e., free microaggregates and microaggregates within macroaggregates), in which the contributions of the stable fractions were 81.1–91.7% of the increase in SOC and 83.3–94.0% of the increase in TN, respectively. The relationships between average C inputs and both stable SOC and TN stocks were significantly positive with R2 values of 0.74 and 0.72(P<0.01) for the whole 40 cm soil profile, which indicates the importance of N for soil C storage. The results of our study provide key evidence that long-term combined organic and chemical nitrogen fertilization, while maintaining reasonable total N inputs, benefited soil C and N storage in both the topsoil and subsoil layers.展开更多

Despite these advantages, the system does have its drawbacks, such as soil organic matter reduction and microplastic pollution, which impede the widespread adoption of film mulching cultivation in China. Nonetheless, the advent of degradable film, controlled-release fertilizer, organic fertilizer, and film mulching machinery is promoting the development of rice film mulching cultivation. This review outlines the impact of rice cultivation under film mulching on soil moisture, soil temperature, soil fertility, greenhouse gas emissions, weed control, and disease and pest management. It also elucidates the mechanism of changes in rice growth, yield and quality, water use efficiency, and nitrogen use efficiency. This paper incorporates a review of published research articles and discusses some uncertainties and shortcomings associated with rice cultivation under film mulching. Consequently, prospective research directions for the technology of rice film mulching cultivation are outlined, and recommendations for future research into rice cultivation under film mulching are proposed.展开更多

The use of cover crops (CC) as a mechanism to improve soil health on a wide scale remains underutilized. Soil health remains a major concern for the sustainability of agricultural productivity, therefore, research into CC implementation as a mean to preserve or improve soil health is warranted. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of CC on the soils in the eastern Arkansas portion of the Lower Mississippi River Valley (LMRV) over time for various chemical soil parameters, including pH, soil organic matter (SOM), soil elemental contents (i.e., P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Na, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, and B), soil respiration, and a generalized soil health score index. Soil pH decreased over time under both CC and no-cover-crop (NCC) treatments, by −0.3 and −0.2, respectively. Soil OM decreased over time under NCC by −0.1%, but did not differ between CC treatments. Soil N availability decreased over time under NCC (−22.6 kg·ha−1), but did not change over time under CC. Soil respiration decreased over time under both CC and NCC, by −76.1 mg·L−1 and −77.3 mg·L−1, respectively, though there was no effect of CC treatment. The Haney soil health score index decreased under CC (−7.0) and NCC (−6.8) without an effect from CC treatment. Results of the study place emphasis on the temporal nature of soil health as influenced by cover crops and their potential to improve soil health.展开更多

Such compacted soils with low organic matter can lead to low infiltration and poor vegetation establishment. The objective of this study was to investigate the efficacy of tillage (shallow till) and compost on soil physical and biological properties in a hydroseeded lawn as a post-construction best management practice for soil compaction remediation. The experimental site received a total of four land treatments in five replicated trials and it was hydroseeded with common Bermuda grass: 1) No Tillage + Compost (NT-C), 2) No Tillage + No Compost (NT-NC;control), 3) Tillage + Compost (T-C), and 4) Tillage + No Compost (T-NC). Bulk density (BD), infiltration rate (IR), and wet aggregate stability (WAS) in each plot were measured to assess soil physical properties while soil organic matter (SOM) and enzyme activity (β-glucosidase, acid-phosphatase, and alkaline-phosphatase) were measured for soil biological properties. Over a 15-months of monitoring period, the shallow tillage loosened the soil initially, but its effect on BD without compost was diminished to control plot level (NT-NC) within 4 months after hydroseeding. Both tillage and compost led to an increase in IR, and it remained higher than control by 2 - 3 times throughout the observation period. The WAS and β-glucosidase activity decreased in tilled plot unless there was compost application. Turfgrass showed greener leaves and aggregated roots in the compost-amended plots (NT-C and T-C). Our results suggest that compost application plays a key role in improving soil physical and biological properties in hydroseeded lawns from construction sites.展开更多

[Method] Terrain parameters (derived from DEM) and Normalized differential vegetation index (NDVI), Land surface temperature (LST) (derived from MODIS data) were used as auxiliary data to predict the SOM spatial distribution. The mean error (ME) and mean square error (RMSE) were adopted to validate the SOM prediction accuracy. The descriptive statistics and data transformation were conducted by using computer technology. [Result] Regression kriging with terrain and remotely sensed data was superior to ordinary kriging in the case of limited available samples; even the linear relationship between environmental variables and SOM content was moderate. The accuracy assessment showed that the regression kriging method combining with environmental factors obtained a lower mean predication error and root mean square prediction error. The relative improvement was 6.03% compared with ordinary kriging. [Conclusion] Remotely sensed data such as MODIS im- age have the potential as useful auxiliary variables for improving the precision and reliability of SOM prediction in the hilly regions.展开更多

In addition, the inversion models were built for the soil organic matter content in different landforms. The results showed that the spectral reflectance was nega- tively related to soil organic matter content; linear regression analysis of remove was performed throughout the bands using SPSS. When the inversion models were built based on all the bands, better fitting effect was obtained. The precision of in- version models built based on different landforms was higher than those built re- gardless landforms. Compared with the actual value, the identification level of soil organic matter content was 91 65% under the allowable error was 7%. It indicated that the extraction of soil organic matter with inversion model that was built based on different landforrrs was feasible with higher precision.展开更多

This could reduce soil fertility and crop productivity in the long run. A 20-year field experiment was conducted to 1) assess the effect of inorganic and organic nutrient sources on yield and yield trends of both winter wheat and maize, 2) monitor the changes in soil organic matter content under continuous wheat-maize cropping with different soil fertility management schemes, and 3) identify reasons for yield trends observed in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, over a 20-year period. There were eight treatments applied to both wheat and maize seasons: a control treatment (C); three inorganic fertilizers, that is, nitrogen (N), nitrogen and phosphorus (NP), and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK); and addition of farmyard manure (FYM) to these four treatments, that is, M, MN, MNP, and MNPK. At the end of the experiment the MN, MNP, and MNPK treatments had the highest yields, about 7 t wheat ha-1 and 7.5 t maize ha-1, with each about 1 t ha-1 more than the NPK treatments. Over 20 years with FYM soil organic matter increased by 80% compared to only 10% with NPK, which explained yield increases. However, from an environmental and agronomic perspective, manure application was not a superior strategy to NPK fertilizers. If manure was to be applied, though, it would be best applied to the wheat crop, which showed a better response than maize.展开更多

With increasing norfloxacin concentrations, sorption amount of norfloxacin increased in both the bulk soils and their SOM-removed soils, but the sorption capacity of SOM-removed soils was higher than that of their corresponding bulk soils, indicating that the process of norfloxacin sorption in soil was influenced by the soil properties including SOM. The sorption data in all bulk soils and SOM-removed soils were fitted to Freundlich and Langmuir models. The correlation coefficients suggested that the experimental data fitted better to Freundlich equation than to Langmuir equation. Furthermore, the data from soil F and SOM-removed F could not be described by Langmuir equation. The norfloxacin sorption amount decreased in soil B and soil F, whereas it increased in soil R as solution pH increased. The maximum KD and Koc were achieved in soil R when the equilibrium solution pH was 6. The norfloxacin sorption was also influenced by the exogenous Cu^2+, which depended on the soil types and Cu^2+ concentrations. With increasing Cu^2+ concentrations in solution, generally, sorption amount, KD and Koc for norfloxacin in soils increased and were up to a peak at 100 mg/L Cu^2+, and then the sorption amount decreased regardless of norfloxacin levels.展开更多

[ Conclusion] In view of the mixed vegetation cover, the profile distribution of δ^3Corg in different geographic periods is more likely to indicate the ratio of C4 plants to C3 plants.

文摘Faced with increasing global soil degradation, spatially explicit data on cropland soil organic matter(SOM)provides crucial data for soil carbon pool accounting, cropland quality assessment and the formulation of effective management policies. As a spatial information prediction technique, digital soil mapping(DSM)has been widely used to spatially map soil information at different scales. However, the accuracy of digital SOM maps for cropland is typically lower than for other land cover types due to the inherent difficulty in precisely quantifying human disturbance. To overcome this limitation, this study systematically assessed a framework of“information extractionfeature selection-model averaging”for improving model performance in mapping cropland SOM using 462 cropland soil samples collected in Guangzhou,China in 2021.The results showed that using the framework of dynamic information extraction, feature selection and model averaging could efficiently improve the accuracy of the final predictions(R^(2):0.48 to 0.53)without having obviously negative impacts on uncertainty.Quantifying the dynamic information of the environment was an efficient way to generate covariates that are linearly and nonlinearly related to SOM,which improved the R^(2)of random forest from 0.44 to 0.48 and the R^(2)of extreme gradient boosting from 0.37to 0.43.Forward recursive feature selection(FRFS)is recommended when there are relatively few environmental covariates(<200),whereas Boruta is recommended when there are many environmental covariates(>500).The Granger-Ramanathan model averaging approach could improve the prediction accuracy and average uncertainty. When the structures of initial prediction models are similar, increasing in the number of averaging models did not have significantly positive effects on the final predictions.Given the advantages of these selected strategies over information extraction, feature selection and model averaging have a great potential for high-accuracy soil mapping at any scales,so this approach can provide more reliable references for soil conservation policy-making.

文摘Rapid and accurate acquisition of soil organic matter(SOM)information in cultivated land is important for sustainable agricultural development and carbon balance management. This study proposed a novel approach to predict SOM with high accuracy using multiyear synthetic remote sensing variables on a monthly scale. We obtained 12 monthly synthetic Sentinel-2 images covering the study area from 2016 to 2021 through the Google Earth Engine(GEE)platform, and reflectance bands and vegetation indices were extracted from these composite images. Then the random forest(RF),support vector machine(SVM)and gradient boosting regression tree(GBRT)models were tested to investigate the difference in SOM prediction accuracy under different combinations of monthly synthetic variables. Results showed that firstly, all monthly synthetic spectral bands of Sentinel-2 showed a significant correlation with SOM(P<0.05)for the months of January,March,April,October, and November.Secondly,in terms of single-monthly composite variables, the prediction accuracy was relatively poor, with the highest R^(2)value of 0.36 being observed in January. When monthly synthetic environmental variables were grouped in accordance with the four quarters of the year, the first quarter and the fourth quarter showed good performance, and any combination of three quarters was similar in estimation accuracy. The overall best performance was observed when all monthly synthetic variables were incorporated into the models.Thirdly, among the three models compared, the RF model was consistently more accurate than the SVM and GBRT models, achieving an R^(2)value of 0.56.Except for band 12 in December, the importance of the remaining bands did not exhibit significant differences. This research offers a new attempt to map SOM with high accuracy and fine spatial resolution based on monthly synthetic Sentinel-2 images.

文摘Background:Forest soils in tropical and subtropical areas store a significant amount of carbon.Recent framework to assess soil organic matter(SOM)dynamics under evolving global conditions suggest that dividing bulk SOM into particulate and mineral-associated organic matter(POM vs.MAOM)is a promising method for identifying how SOM contributes to reducing global warming.Soil macrofauna, earthworms, and millipedes have been found to play an important role in facilitating SOM processes. However, how these two co-existing macrofaunae impac the litter decomposition process and directly impact the formation of POM and MAOM remains unclear. Methods:Here,we set up a microcosm experiment, which consisted of 20 microcosms with four treatments earthworm and litter addition(E),millipedes and litter addition(M),earthworm, millipedes, and litter addition(E+M),and control(only litter addition)in five replicates. The soil and litter were sterilized prior to beginning the incubation experiment to remove any existing microbes. After incubating the samples for 42 days, the litte properties(mass,C,and N contents),soil physicochemical properties,as well as the C and N contents, and POM and MAOM^(13)C abundance in the 0–5 and 5–10 cm soil layers were measured. Finally, the relative influences o soil physicochemical and microbial properties on the distribution of C and N in the soil fractions were analyzed Results:The litter mass,C,and N associated with all four treatments significantly decreased after incubation especially under treatment E+M(litter mass:-58.8%,litter C:-57.0%,litter N:-75.1%,respectively),while earthworm biomass significantly decreased under treatment E.Earthworm or millipede addition alone showed no significant effects on the organic carbon(OC)and total nitrogen(TN)content in the POM fraction, but join addition of both significantly increased OC and TN regardless of soil depth.Importantly, all three macrofauna treatments increased the OC and TN content and decreased the^(13)C abundance in the MAOM fraction.More than65%of the total variations in the distribution of OC and TN throughout the two fractions can be explained by a combination of soil physicochemical and microbial properties.Changes in the OC distribution in the 0–5 cm soi layer are likely due to a decrease in soil pH and an increase in arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF),while those in the 5–10 cm layer are probably caused by increases in soil exchangeable Ca and Mg,in addition to fungi and gram-negative(GN)bacteria.The observed TN distribution changes in the 0–5 cm soil likely resulted from a decrease in soil pH and increases in AMF,GN,and gram-negative(GP)bacteria,while TN distribution changes in the 5–10 cm soil could be explained by increases in exchangeable Mg and GN bacteria. Conclusions:The results indicate that the coexistence of earthworms and millipedes can accelerate the litte decomposition process and store more C in the MAOM fractions. This novel finding helps to unlock the processe by which complex SOM systems serve as C sinks in tropical forests and addresses the importance of soil mac rofauna in maintaining C-neutral atmospheric conditions under global climate change.

文摘Long term tillage in mollisol of Northeast China has led to an inhomogeneous distribution of soil organic matter content.Biochar,a carbon material, changes the soil carbon pool and physical-chemical characteristics after adding to the soil. However, the mechanism remains unclear for the relation between the soil organic matter level and biochar amount. So,the soil physical and chemical properties and soybean growth in a two-year pot experiment were detected at three levels of soil organic matter and three biochar additions(0,1%and 10%).The difference was found in two biochar application rates. The 1%biochar addition had no positive effect on the soil chemical properties based the two-year experiment.However,10%biochar application significantly increased the soil water content(8.0%-39.7%),the total porosity(9.7%-21.3%),pH(0.26-0.84 unit),organic matter content(89.0%-261.2%),and the available potassium content(29.0%-109.1%).The biomass of soybean increased by 19.4%-78.1%after biochar addition, yet, the soil bulk density reduced at the range of 12.6%-26.0%by 10%biochar addition.Only the 100-grain weight was correlated to the interaction of biochar and the native soil organic matter. All the indicators showed that the interaction between biochar and soil organic matter level was weak in mollisol. The effects of biochar on the physical-chemical properties relied on its amount. When biochar is applied to the soil, the amount of biochar should be considered rather than the native soil organic matter level.

文摘The main objective of our study has been to determine the role of deadwood in the shaping of the amount of soil organic matter fractions in mountain forest soils. For this purpose,a climosequence approach comprising north(N)and south(S)exposure along the altitudinal gradient(600,800,1000 and 1200 m a.s.l.)was set up.By comparing the properties of decomposing deadwood and those of the soils located directly beneath the decaying wood we drew conclusions about the role of deadwood in the shaping of soil organic matter fractions and soil carbon storage in different climate conditions. The basic properties, enzymatic activity and fractions of soil organic matter(SOM)were determined in deadwood and affected directly by the components released from decaying wood.Heavily decomposed deadwood impacts soil organic matter stabilization more strongly than the less decayed deadwood and the light fraction of SOM is more sensitive to deadwood effects than the heavy fraction regardless of the location in the altitude gradient.Increase in SOM mineral-associated fraction C content is more pronounced in soils under the influence of deadwood located in lower locations of warmer exposure.Nutrients released from decaying wood stimulate the enzymatic activity of soils that are within the range of deadwood influence.

文摘To understand the long-term effects of combined organic and chemical nitrogen fertilization on soil organic C(SOC) and total N(TN), we conducted a 30-year field experiment with a wheat–maize rotation system on the Huang-HuaiHai Plain during 1990–2019. The results of our study provide key evidence that long-term combined organic and chemical nitrogen fertilization, while maintaining reasonable total N inputs, benefited soil C and N storage in both the topsoil and subsoil layers.

文摘Visible and near-infrared(vis-NIR)spectroscopy technique allows for fast and efficient determination of soil organic matter(SOM).However,a prior requirement for the vis-NIR spectroscopy technique to predict SOM is the effective removal of redundant information. Therefore, this study aims to select three wavelength selection strategies for obtaining the spectral response characteristics of SOM.The SOM content and spectral information of 110 soil samples from the Ogan-Kuqa River Oasis were measured under laboratory conditions in July 2017.Pearson correlation analysis was introduced to preselect spectral wavelengths from the preprocessed spectra that passed the 0.01 level significance test. The successive projection algorithm(SPA),competitive adaptive reweighted sampling(CARS),and Boruta algorithm were used to detect the optimal variables from the preselected wavelengths. Finally, partial least squares regression(PLSR)and random forest(RF)models combined with the optimal wavelengths were applied to develop a quantitative estimation model of the SOM content. The results demonstrate that the optimal variables selected were mainly located near the range of spectral absorption features(i.e.,1400.0,1900.0,and 2200.0 nm),and the CARS and Boruta algorithm also selected a few visible wavelengths located in the range of 480.0–510.0 nm.Both models can achieve a more satisfactory prediction of the SOM content, and the RF model had better accuracy than the PLSR model. The SOM content prediction model established by Boruta algorithm combined with the RF model performed best with 23 variables and the model achieved the coefficient of determination(R2)of 0.78 and the residual prediction deviation(RPD)of 2.38.The Boruta algorithm effectively removed redundant information and optimized the optimal wavelengths to improve the prediction accuracy of the estimated SOM content. Therefore, combining vis-NIR spectroscopy with machine learning to estimate SOM content is an important method to improve the accuracy of SOM prediction in arid land.

文摘Land use change affects the balance of organic carbon(C)reserves and the global C cycle.Microbial residues are essential constituents of stable soil organic C(SOC).However,it remains unclear how microbial residue changes over time following afforestation. In this study,16-,23-,52-,and 62-year-old Mongolian pine stands and 16-year-old cropland were studied in the Horqin Sandy Land,China. We analyzed changes in SOC,amino sugar content, and microbial parameters to assess how microbial communities influence soil C transformation and preservation. The results showed that SOC storage increased with stand age in the early stage of afforestation but remained unchanged at about 1.27-1.29 kg/m2 after 52 a.Moreover, there were consistent increases in amino sugars and microbial residues with increasing stand age.As stand age increased from 16 to 62 a,soil pH decreased from 6.84 to 5.71,and the concentration of total amino sugars increased from 178.53 to 509.99 mg/kg.A significant negative correlation between soil pH and the concentration of specific and total amino sugars was observed, indicating that the effects of soil acidification promote amino sugar stabilization during afforestation. In contrast to the Mongolian pine plantation of the same age,the cropland accumulated more SOC and microbial residues because of fertilizer application.Across Mongolian pine plantation with different ages, there was no significant change in calculated contribution of bacterial or fungal residues to SOC,suggesting that fungi were consistently the dominant contributors to SOC with increasing time. Our results indicate that afforestation in the Horqin Sandy Land promotes efficient microbial growth and residue accumulation in SOC stocks and has a consistent positive impact on SOC persistence.

文摘Barshore is a small village in the Pishin District,Balochistan,Pakistan, with dry summers and cold rainy winters. This is an agrarian region, mostly with orchards of various fruit trees. This study investigated the physico-chemical properties and macrofauna of soils under various agricultural management practices of this region. The concentrations of soil organic matter(SOM),soil organic carbon(SOC),nutrients,pH,electrical conductivity, soil texture, and the abundance and number of species of soil macrofauna of the agricultural fields were measured.Fifteen agricultural fields were sampled.Fourteen fields were orchards of apple, apricot or the mixture of apple and apricot trees and one field was a cropland, cultivated with wheat as a monocrop. The orchards were under conservation agricultural practices;whereas, the cropland was under conventional management. These agricultural lands were 2-26 years old.The concentration of soil organic matter(SOM)in the upper 0-10 cm depth of these field sites ranged from 11.6 g kg^(-1)to 32.8 g kg^(-1)soil.As compared to cropland, orchards had significantly higher concentration of SOM and SOC.A total of 18 soil macrofauna species were found and the most common and abundant were ants(Monomorium minimum,Camponotus pennsylvanicus,Solenopsis invicta, and Lasius niger)followed by Arion ssp.(Brown Slug)and earthworm Lumbricus terrestris.Regression analysis revealed non-significant relationship of the age and the concentration of SOM with the number of macrofauna species and with the concentrations of total mineral nitrogen, bioavailable phosphorus and clay. The existence of ants had no relationship with the concentration of SOM;whereas, existence of Lumbricus terrestris tended to had a positive relationship with the concentration of SOM.The field of tree-based intercropping system was 2 years of age since the land was converted from rangeland to a cropland, had two ant species coexisting. This indicates the positive influence of crop diversification on soil macrofauna.

文摘Rice cultivation under film mulching is an integrated management technology that can conserve water, increase soil temperature, improve yield, and enhance water and nitrogen use efficiencies. Consequently, prospective research directions for the technology of rice film mulching cultivation are outlined, and recommendations for future research into rice cultivation under film mulching are proposed.
文摘Typical row-crop agricultural practices can potentially be harmful to soil health and future sustainability. Results of the study place emphasis on the temporal nature of soil health as influenced by cover crops and their potential to improve soil health.
文摘Construction activities often involve removal of topsoil and compaction of the exposed soil by heavy equipments. Our results suggest that compost application plays a key role in improving soil physical and biological properties in hydroseeded lawns from construction sites.

文摘[Objective] The objective of this project was to evaluate and compare spa- tial estimation accuracy by ordinary kriging and regression kriging with MODIS data, predicting SOM contents using limited available data in Shimen County, Hunan Province, China. [Conclusion] Remotely sensed data such as MODIS im- age have the potential as useful auxiliary variables for improving the precision and reliability of SOM prediction in the hilly regions.

文摘Kinetics and isotherms of Triton X-100 sorption on soil,base-extracted soil(BE),humic acid(HA) and humin(HM) were investigated respectively to get better understanding on characteristics of the surfactant sorption onto different soil organic matters(SOMs).It was demonstrated that the kinetics results could be satisfactorily described by the pseudo-second order model. The half of the time to reach equilibrium(t1/2) for different sorbents followed the sequence of soil 〉 HA 〉 BE 〉 HM.Furthermore, the calculated equilibrium sorption capacity(Ceq) was found in the sequence of HA 〉 BE 〉 HM 〉 soil, which agreed well with the experimental results. The isotherms of Triton X-100 sorption on soil and HA could be well described by the S-type isotherm, but BE and HM by the L-type.The isotherms of all the four sorbents were found reasonably fitted to the Langmuir equation. The Kd value, defined as the ratio of Triton X-100 in sorbent and in the equilibrium solution for given concentrations, generally followed the order of HM 〉 HA 〉 soil 〉 BE.Separated HM and HA showed high affnity for Triton X-100,but the HA and HM in soil and BE were tightly bounded by the minerals. Thus, the HA on the soil surface might dominate the sorption, whereas the bounded HM would play a key role upon the surfactants being penetrated inside the soil.
文摘Based on diverse landforms, the correlation between soil organic matter content and multi-spectral band of remote sensing image was analyzed in this pa- per. It indicated that the extraction of soil organic matter with inversion model that was built based on different landforrrs was feasible with higher precision.

文摘Winter wheat-maize rotations are dominant cropping systems on the North China Plain, where recently the use of organic manure with grain crops has almost disappeared. If manure was to be applied, though, it would be best applied to the wheat crop, which showed a better response than maize.

文摘Norfloxacin sorption and the factors (soil organic matter (SOM), pH, and exogenous copper (Cu) influencing the sorption were investigated in a black soil (soil B), a fluvo-aquic soil (soil F), and a red soil (soil R). With increasing Cu^2+ concentrations in solution, generally, sorption amount, KD and Koc for norfloxacin in soils increased and were up to a peak at 100 mg/L Cu^2+, and then the sorption amount decreased regardless of norfloxacin levels.
