Methods: Two hundred and five patients were randomly divided into a warming needle moxibustion group (68 cases), a HESPT group (68 cases) and a point-injection group (69 cases). In the warming needle moxibustion group, the main points of Xuehai (SP 10), Neixiyan (EX-LE4), Waixiyan (EX-LE5), Dubi (ST 35), Zusanli (ST 36) and Yanglingquan (GB 34), and the adjunct points of Yinlingquan (SP 9) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6), on the affected side, were chosen for stimulation. In the HESPT group, tenderness points, the main points of Liangqiu (ST 34), Xuehai (SP 10), Neixiyan (EX-LE4), Waixiyan (EX-LE5) and Zusanli (ST 36), and the adjunct points of Yinlingquan (SP 9), Weizhong (BL 40) and Chengshan (BL 57), were chosen. After proper manipulation, Corydalis decumbens Pers. liquid was injected into the points and a high-frequency electric sparkle was applied to stimulate the needles for 30 seconds. In the point-injection group, point injection was performed with the same method, but the patients did not receive electric stimulation. The Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), the Lysholm Knee Score Scale (LKSS) and the ROM (Range of Motion) scale were used to evaluate the severity of KOA and the function of knee joints before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment. Finally, the Nimodipine method was used to assess the total curative effect. Results: After HESPT treatment, the scores for pain, morning stiffness and swelling were significantly lower (P<0.01) and LKSS index and ROM were much higher (P<0.01 and P<0.05 respectively) compared to the two other groups. The obviously effective rate and total effective rate were also significantly higher in the HESPT group than in the two other groups (P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion: HESPT can improve joint function in KOA patients, and the curative effect is better than for warming needle moxibustion or point-injection only.展开更多

Erectile dysfunction is an early manifestation of endothelial dysfunction and systemic vascular disease. Because mineral deficiency intensifies the deleterious effects of fructose consumption and mineral ingestion is protective against MS, we aimed to characterize the effects of 8weeks of natural mineral-rich water consumption on the structural organization and expression of vascular growth factors and receptors on the corpus cavernosum （CC） in 10% fructose-fed Sprague-Dawley rats （FRUCT）. Differences were not observed in the organization of the CC either on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） or the components of the angiopoietins/Tie2 system. However, opposing expression patterns were observed for VEGF receptors （an increase and a decrease for VEGFR1 and VEGFR2, respectively） in FRUCT animals, with these patterns being strengthened by mineral-rich water ingestion. Mineral-rich water ingestion （FRUCTMIN） increased the proportion of smooth muscle cells compared with FRUCT rats and induced an upregulatory tendency of sirtuin I expression compared with the control and FRUCT groups. Western blot results were consistent with the dual immunofluorescence evaluation. Plasma oxidized low-density lipoprotein and plasma testosterone levels were similar among the experimental groups, although a tendency for an increase in the former was observed in the FRUCTMIN group. The mineral-rich water-treated rats presented changes similar to those observed in rats treated with MS-protective polyphenol-rich beverages or subjected to energy restriction, which led us to hypothesize that the effects of mineral-rich water consumption may be more vast than those directly observed in this study.展开更多

In this strategy, liquid metal(LM) with a shiny metallic luster and an excellent optical property, was introduced as a novel metallic paint and coating to packing products and achieved decorative effects. We report a ...In this strategy, liquid metal(LM) with a shiny metallic luster and an excellent optical property, was introduced as a novel metallic paint and coating to packing products and achieved decorative effects. We report a straightforward method via spray printing to fabricate a consecutive ultra-thin LM film on various product substrates. Then, the flexible LM film was coated with a transparent varnish layer, which was rather convenient for the LM paint to be storing, using and transporting. The thicknesses(25 μm) and the shapes of LM paint were well controlled. The flop index(FI=105), and reflectance(R=88.8%) data of the LM metallic paint were characterized. The results indicated that the LM metallic paint could provide a sparkling appearance and an abounding glossy. The deoxidized LM has a pronounced positive influence on the surface roughness, appearance, reflectance,and metallic texture. The LM metallic paint was highly desirable for potential applications in automotive enamel, motorcycle,toy and high-quality industrial coatings in the near future.展开更多

Replacing the water molecule with a fluoride ion or a mondentatecarbonato ligand resulted in a nonacoordinated distorted square antiprismatic structures where the trans-carbonato groups were twisted. The corresponding decacoordinated structures with two fluoride ions or a bidentatecarbonato group, [Nd(CO3)4·F2]7-and [Nd(CO3)5]7-, were also investigated.
