The obtained powders were characterized by XRD, SEM, Raman, XPS and UV-Vis DRS. The effects of V doping concentration on the phase structure and photocatalytic properties were investigated. XRD, Raman, and XPS show that V doping diffuses into TiO2 crystal lattice mainly in the form of V5+ and causes a phase transition from anatase to mille. V doping can widen the light absorption range of TiO2, with the absorption threshold wavelength shifting from 425 to 625 nm. The photocatalytic activity of V-doped TiO2 powders were evaluated by the photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange (MO) under visible light irradiation. The effects of various tunable conditions, such as fuel-to-oxidant ratio, type of salts, and amount of added salts, on the characteristics of the as-prepared powders were investigated by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and BET surface area measurement. A mechanism scheme was proposed to illustrate the possible formation processes of well-dispersed ceria nanoparticles in the salt-assisted combustion synthesis. It was verified that the simple introduction of leachable inert inorganic salts as an excellent agglomeration inhibitor into the redox mixture precursor leads to the formation of well-dispersed ceria particles with particle size in the range of 4 ~6 nm and a drastic increase in the surface area. The presence of KCl results in an over ten-fold increment in specific surface area from 14.10 m^2·g^-1 for the produced ceria powders via the conventional combustion synthesis process to 156.74 m^2·g^-1 for the product by the salt-assisted combustion synthesis process at the same molar ratio of ethylene glycol-nitrate.展开更多

The effects of NaCl content and calcination temperature on the characteristics of the products were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and BET surface area measurement. The facile introduction of NaCl in the conventional combustion synthesis process was found to result in the formation of well-dispersed perovskite nanoparticles and increase specific surface areas of the resultants from 1.7 to 43.2 m2·g-1. The catalytic properties of the typical NdCoO3 samples for thermal decomposition of ammonia perchlorate (AP) and their correlation with the NdCoO3 microstructure were investigated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). The DSC results indicate that the addition of the amorphous NdCoO3 nanoparticles to AP incorporates two small exothermic peaks of AP into a strong exothermic peak, decreases the temperature of the AP exothermic peak to 314.0 ℃ by reduction of 138.3 ℃ and increases the apparent decomposition heat from 515 J·g-1 to over 1441 J·g-1, showing the intense catalytic activity for thermal decomposition of AP. It is also clear that the catalytic activity of the resultant NdCoO3 is related to their microstructure. According to Kissinger′s method, the kinetics parameters of the thermal decomposition of AP catalyzed by the as-prepared NdCoO3 samples were calculated to account for the order of their catalytic activity.展开更多

The doping with terbium ions was performed during the redox combustion process and after annealing at 900°C during 20 hours. With the incorporation of the terbium ions into the zirconium oxide host, the stabilization of the high temperature tetragonal crystalline phase, as determined by x-ray diffraction technique, was obtained. Under ultraviolet radiation a bright green luminescence was observed at room temperature corresponding to the (4f) electron configuration of the Tb3+ ion, namely the electronic transitions 5D4 → 7Fn with n = 3 - 6. In addition, the undoped ZrO2 material showed green photoluminescence with high intensity.展开更多

The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), laser Raman spectrum (LRS), and temperature programmed reduction (TPR) techniques. The XRD and LRS results confirmed the high dispersion of active components or formation of solid solution between manganese and cerium oxides in the bulk and on the surface of mixed oxide catalysts. The reducibility was remarkably promoted by the stronger synergistic interaction between the two oxides from H2-TPR measurements. As expected, all the experimental mixed oxide catalysts showed excellent activity for methane combustion at low temperature. Especially, for the catalyst with Mn-Ce ratio 3:7, methane conversion reached 92% at a temperature as low as 470 ℃.展开更多

The ZnO, ZnO/Ce3+ and ZnO/Cu2+ + Ce3+ powders were structurally characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, and the XRD patterns showed that for pure ZnO, Cu2+ undoped ZnO/Ce3+ and ZnO/Ce3+ doped with the Cu2+ ion, the three samples exhibited the hexagonal wurtzite ZnO crystalline structure. However, the morphology and particle size of both samples were observed by means of a scanning electron microscopy (SEM);from SEM image, it is observed that the crystallites of both samples are agglomerated forming bigger amorphous particles with an approximate average size of 1 μm. In addition, the photoluminescence of the ZnO, Ce3+ doped ZnO and Cu2+ + Ce3+ doped ZnO samples was measurement under an illumination of 209 nm wavelength (UV region): for the ZnO/Ce3+ sample, your emission spectrum is in the visible region from blue color until red color;the UV band of the ZnO is suppressed. The multicolor emission visible is attributed to the Ce3+ ion photoluminescence, while for the ZnO/Cu2+ + Ce3+, its emission PL spectrum is quenching by the Cu2+ ion, present in the ZnO crystalline.

文摘Highly dispersed perovskite NdCoO3 nanoparticles were prepared by a novel salt-assisted combustion process. According to Kissinger′s method, the kinetics parameters of the thermal decomposition of AP catalyzed by the as-prepared NdCoO3 samples were calculated to account for the order of their catalytic activity.

文摘Nano-pelletα-Al_(2)O_(3) was prepared using aluminum nitrate as precursor and urea as fuel by a fast method of solution combustion synthesis. The formation of the nano material was dependent on the molar ratio of fuel/oxidant,calcination temperature, and foreign metallic ions. The prerequisite conditions of the formation were a suitable fuel/oxidant molar ratio larger than two and calcination temperature higher than 673 K.Foreign ions,Ce^(4+) or Co^(2+),hindered this formation via promoting the generation of stable penta-coordinated Al^(3+) ions due to strong interaction with alumina, were revealed by ^(27)Al NMR spectra.Such Al^(3+) ions were recognized as a critical intermediate state for the phase transformation of alumina and their presence deterred the transformation. The nano-pellet morphology of the product demonstrated a specific surface area of 69 m^(2)/g,of which the external surface area occupied 59 m^(2)/g.It was found that the supported cobalt acetate on such nano-pellets existed as nanoparticles attached to the external surface, evidenced by the TEM characterization. The prepared catalyst could efficiently catalyze the selective oxidation of cyclohexane under the reaction condition of pressure under 0.8 MPa,temperature at 373 K,and time for 4 hours. The conversion of the reaction achieved up to 7.9%;while the cyclohexanone selectivity was 42.7%and the cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol selectivity was 91.6%.This catalytic performance recommends the supported cobalt acetate on the inert nano-pellet a-Al_(2)O_(3) as a promising catalyst for the selective oxidation of cyclohexane.
文摘In this research, the structural phase composition and room temperature luminescence properties of terbium doped zirconium oxide powders obtained by solution combustion synthesis method are presented as a function of the terbium content. In addition, the undoped ZrO2 material showed green photoluminescence with high intensity.
文摘In this experiment, pure, Y3+ doped ZnO and Cu2+ + Y3+ co-doped ZnO were synthesized by a solution combustion method. The Y3+ dopant concentration was fixed in 3%wt. and the Cu2+ dopant concentrations were 0, 1, 2, 3, 10, and 20%wt. The XRD spectra showed that the original hexagonal wurtzite structure of ZnO is conserved after doping process, an increasing red shift until 10%wt. Cu2+ doping and decrease at higher Cu2+ doping and also, the chemical creation of the news Y2O3 and Y2Cu2O5 phases. The behavior of the photoluminescence of the samples as a function of Cu2+ doping reveal that the green emission band of the ZnO is quenching and the ZnO UV emission intensity decrease notably for all Cu2+ doping. The scanning electron microscope analysis of the Cu2+ + Y3+ co-doped ZnO samples reveal the existence of grains agglutinated forming like-spheres particles. However, the nano-sized characteristic of the crystals is confirmed.

文摘A series of supported Mn-Ce mixed oxide catalysts were prepared by the impregnation method and used for the oxidation of methane. Especially, for the catalyst with Mn-Ce ratio 3:7, methane conversion reached 92% at a temperature as low as 470 ℃.

文摘A series of three‐dimensionally ordered macroporous(3DOM)SnO2‐based catalysts modified by the cations Ce4+,Mn3+,and Cu2+have been prepared by using a colloidal crystal templating method and tested for soot combustion under loose contact condition.XRD and STEM mapping results confirm that all the secondary metal cations have entered the lattice matrix of tetragonal rutile SnO2 to form non‐continuous solid solutions, thus impeding crystallization and improving the surface areas and pore volumes of the modified catalysts. In comparison with regular SnO2 nanoparticles, the 3DOM SnO2 displays evidently improved activity, testifying that the formation of the 3DOM structure can anchor the soot particulates in the macro‐pores, which ensures that the contact of the soot particles with the active sites on the 3DOM skeleton is more easily formed, thus benefiting the target reaction. With the incorporation of the secondary metal cations, the activity of the catalyst can be further improved due to the formation of more abundant mobile oxygen species. In summary, these effects are believed to be the major factors responsible for the activity of the catalyst.

文摘The Cu/CeO_(2)nanoporous composite material was prepared via a one-step and energy-saving method of solution combustion synthesis(SCS).The phase composition, surface morphology and optical characteristics of Cu/CeO_(2)were studied. The results show that the SCS products are composed of cubic fluorite CeO_(2)and Cu.Due to the generation and escape of gas during the synthetic reaction, the SCS CeO_(2)shows porous structure,in which the mesopores(diameter 10-17 nm)nest in the wall of large pores(diameter80-300 nm).X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)outcomes indicate that the oxygen vacancy concentration of CeO_(2)increases(18.97%-30.93%)with the increase of Cu concentration. The decoration of Cu greatly enhances the catalytic activity of CeO_(2)nanomaterials.30 wt%Cu/CeO_(2)composite material shows the best photocatalytic activities for the degradation of methyl orange(MO)(95.99%),which is about 4.3times that of CeO_(2)at the same time(120 min).UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS)results show that the semiconductor band gap is reduced with the addition of metallic Cu,which leads to the enhancement of photocatalytic activity. The free radical trapping experiments demonstrate that·O_(2)-and h+are the main active species in the photocatalytic degradation of MO.Based on the above results,a hypothesized mechanism for enhanced photocatalysis of Cu/CeO_(2)nanomaterials was proposed:the porous structure provides more reactive sites and channels for mass transfer, and the presence of metallic Cu improves the oxygen vacancy concentration of CeO_(2)and then promotes charge-carrier separation, which helps enhance the photocatalytic performance of Cu/CeO_(2).
