A QUASILINEAR SINGULAR ELLIPTIC SYSTEM WITHOUT COOPERATIVE STRUCTURE

In this article, we investigate the existence of positive solutions of a singular quasilinear elliptic system for which the cooperative structure is not required. The approach is based on the Schauder fixed point theorem combined with perturbation arguments that involve the singular terms.

Existence of Traveling Waves in Lattice Dynamical Systems

Existence of traveling wave solutions for some lattice differential equations is investigated. We prove that there exists c*>0 such that for each c≥c*, the systems under consideration admit monotonic nondecreasing traveling waves.

Travelling Wave Solutions in Delayed Reaction Diffusion Systems with Partial Monotonicity

This paper deals with the existence of travelling wave fronts of delayed reaction diffusion systems with partial quasi-monotonicity. We propose a concept of ＂desirable pair of upper-lower solutions＂, through which a subset can be constructed. We then apply the Schauder＇s fixed point theorem to some appropriate operator in this subset to obtain the existence of the travelling wave fronts.

Positive Solutions to Singular Boundary Value Problems with Sign Changing Nonlinearities on the Half-Line via Upper and Lower Solutions

HOMOTOPY PERTURBATION SOLUTION AND PERIODICITY ANALYSIS OF NONLINEAR VIBRATION OF THIN RECTANGULAR FUNCTIONALLY GRADED PLATES

In this paper nonlinear analysis of a thin rectangular functionally graded piate is formulated in terms of von-Karman＇s dynamic equations. Functionaily Graded Material （FGM） properties vary through the constant thickness of the plate at ambient temperature. By expansion of the solution as a series of mode functions, we reduce the governing equations of motion to a Duffing＇s equation. The homotopy perturbation solution of generated Duffing＇s equation is also obtained and compared with numerical solutions. The sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic oscillatory behavior of the plate are established by using Green＇s function and Schauder＇s fixed point theorem.

ON THE ALMOST PERIODIC KOLMOGOROV COMPETITIVE SYSTEMS WITH FEEDBACK CONTROLS

In this paper, we consider an almost periodic multi-species Kolmogorov type com-petitive system with feedback controls. Applying Schauder’s fixed point theorem, a criterion on the existence of the positive almost periodic solution to the system is obtained. Our results improve and generalize some existing conclusions.

EXISTENCE OF PERIODIC SOLUTIONS OF A CLASS OF SECOND-ORDER NON-AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of periodic solutions of second-order non-autonomous systems. By applying the Schauder＇s fixed point theorem and Miranda＇s theorem, a new existence result of periodic solutions is established.
