This study investigates the factors behind this issue, focusing on cultural perceptions, scientific validation, regulatory frameworks, and pharmaceutical industry influence. Utilizing a systematic literature review (SLR) to provide a thorough and structured overview, the research addresses these factors with transparency and reproducibility. Key findings reveal that negative cultural perceptions, the dominance of Western medicine, and skepticism towards traditional healers, especially in urban and educated populations, marginalize TAM. Additionally, religious beliefs and historical influences, such as colonialism, further devalue indigenous knowledge systems. The study also highlights a significant lack of scientific research and clinical trials, which challenges the conventional validation of TAM’s efficacy. Moreover, inconsistent international and national regulatory frameworks and the pharmaceutical industry’s dominance impede TAM’s integration into global healthcare systems. To enhance TAM’s credibility and global acceptance, the study advocates for standardized regulatory policies, increased scientific research, and a reevaluation of intellectual property laws. This shift towards a more inclusive and integrative approach in global health systems could bridge the gap between traditional and modern medical practices, promoting a more holistic understanding of health and wellness.展开更多

文摘Cyanobacteria blooms and their secondary hazards(cyanotoxins, taste and odor compounds)continue to harm the ecological environment of natural and semi-artificially regulated water bodies in the world, thus affecting the safety of water supply and aquatic product quality. The 8 th National Cyanobacteria Bloom Forum was successfully held on July 14-16,2023,in Tianjin,China. The forum established an academic exchange platform for nearly 300 water ecology experts, reservoir managers, and aquaculture technicians.
文摘The main obstacle to the open sharing of scientific data is the lack of a legal protection system for intellectual property. This article analyzes the progress of research papers on intellectual property in scientific data in China through literature search and statistics.Currently, research subjects are unbalanced, research content is uneven, research methods are intellectual single, and research depth is insufficient. It is recommended that different stakeholders engage in deep cross disciplinary cooperation, further improve China’s legal and policy protection system for scientific data intellectual property, and promote the open sharing of scientific data.
文摘Natural disasters and the adverse human activities are the key events in the history of mankind that form our history and shape our collective memory to this day.People on the planet Earth are not obsessed only with natural hazards, caused by earthquakes, floods and volcanic eruptions, and troubles unlikely come solely from the action of nature.Disasters threatening the human race can be caused also by people themselves. Both types of disasters cause vast human suffering,at the same time destroying cultural heritage as well, that has the function of determining the identity of social communities. These sufferings should be added to those that can be determined only by in-depth analyses which are derived from the synergy of natural forces and mistaken choices made by the humans, when it comes to their habitat. The proposed strategic plan for protection of built heritage in emergency situations may become the powerful catalyst for the process of revitalization by which the social tissue of community is maintained and restored, creating the symbol of resistance by which it endures each and every natural element and evil men behaviour.
文摘Increased hazards threatening the United Nations Educational,Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO)-designated sites and endangering cultural heritage and community well-being require attention and action.Con-sidering the pivotal role of UNESCO sites in conservation and development, this study assessed their levels of disaster preparedness. The absence of studies assessing disaster awareness, risk perception, and preparedness among UNESCO site actors,as well as the pivotal place of preparedness within the Disaster Risk Management(DRM)cycle justifies this research.Applying the tenets of the Person-Relative-to-Event framework,we hypothe-sized that a strong positive correlation exists between perceived risks, resources, and disaster preparedness. To collect pertinent data,we employed an embedded mixed-method design and conducted an online questionnaire survey yielding 141 responses from 59 countries. From the results of relevant analyses, wildfires, floods, and droughts are top hazards occurring frequently in UNESCO sites, with significant concerns about pollution and habitat loss during future events.Smartphones emerged as the most available crucial DRM resource, with higher availability of DRM resources correlating positively and significantly with sites’preparedness. Our findings con-tribute valuable insights to address missing links for disaster-ready and resilient UNESCO sites, promoting their preservation for future generations.

文摘Heritage tourism is a hot research topic in the academic field, and most scholars focus on the development model of heritage tourism and heritage conservation theory and methods, but less on the heritage tourists themselves.Based on the theory of planned behavior, the study introduces the variable of“perception”,and takes the Hangzhou section of the Grand Canal as a case study, and investigates tourists through literature, fieldwork and questionnaires. The study constructs a“perception-subjective norm-willingness to protect”model to explore the influence of tourists’“perception”and“subjective norm”on“willingness to protect”.The study found that:first, heritage tourists’perceptions significantly affect attitudes, subjective norms, perceptual behavior control and willingness to conserve.Second, tourists’attitudes, subjective norms and perceptual behavior control significantly affect their willingness to conserve.Third, heritage tourists’economic perceptions, social perceptions and emotional perceptions can affect willingness to conserve. The study provides references for relevant governments and tourism enterprises to conserve and develop the Grand Canal section.
