We obtain an approximate value of the quantized momentum eigenvalues, <em>P<sub>n</sub></em>, together with the space-like coherent eigenvectors for the space-like counterpart of the Schr<span style="white-space:nowrap;">&#246;</span>dinger equation, the Feinberg-Horodecki equation, with a screened Kratzer-Hellmann potential which is constructed by the temporal counterpart of the spatial form of this potential. In addition, we got exact eigenvalues of the momentum and the eigenstates by solving Feinberg-Horodecki equation with Kratzer potential. The present work is illustrated with three special cases of the screened Kratzer-Hellman potential: the time-dependent screened Kratzer potential, time-dependent Hellmann potential and, the time-dependent screened Coulomb potential. 展开更多

We perform benchmark calculations of the p-wave resonances in the exponentially cosine screened Coulomb potential using the uniform complex-scaling generalized pseudo-spectral method.The present results show significant improvement in calculation accuracy compared to previous predictions and correct the misidentification of resonance electron configuration in previous works.It is found that the resonance states approximately follow an n^(2)-scaling law which is similar to the bound counterparts.The birth of a new resonance would distort the trajectory of an adjacent higher-lying resonance. 展开更多

Hot,dense plasmas exhibit screened Coulomb interactions,resulting from the collective effects of correlated many-particle interactions.In the lowest particle correlation order(pair-wise correlations),the interaction between charged plasma particles reduces to the DebyeeHu¨ckel(Yukawa-type)potential,characterized by the Debye screening length.Due to the importance of Coulomb interaction screening in dense laboratory and astrophysical plasmas,hundreds of theoretical investigations have been carried out in the past few decades on the plasma screening effects on the electronic structure of atoms and their collision processes employing the DebyeeHu¨ckel screening model.The present article aims at providing a comprehensive review of the recent studies in atomic physics in Debye plasmas.Specifically,the work on atomic electronic structure,photon excitation and ionization,electron/positron impact excitation and ionization,and excitation,ionization and charge transfer of ion-atom/ion collisions will be reviewed. 展开更多

Advances in medical therapeutics have undoubtedly contributed to health gains and increases in life expectancy over the last century. However, there is growing evidence to suggest that therapeutic decisions in older patients are frequently suboptimal or potentially inappropriate and often result in negative outcomes such as adverse drug events, hospitalisation and increased healthcare resource utilisation. Several factors influence the appropriateness of medication selectionin older patients including age-related changes in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, high numbers of concurrent medications, functional status and burden of co-morbid illness. With ever-increasing therapeutic options, escalating proportions of older patients worldwide, and varying degrees of prescriber education in geriatric pharmacotherapy, strategies to assist physicians in choosing appropriate pharmacotherapy for older patients may be helpful. In this paper, we describe important age-related pharmacological changes as well as the principal domains of prescribing appropriateness in older people. We highlight common examples of drugdrug and drug-disease interactions in older people. We present a clinical case in which the appropriateness of prescription medications is reviewed and corrective strategies suggested. We also discuss various approaches to optimising prescribing appropriateness in this population including the use of explicit and implicit prescribing appropriateness criteria, comprehensive geriatric assessment, clinical pharmacist review, prescriber education and computerized decision support tools. 展开更多

The D(d,p)T reaction in Be metal environments has been measured to investigate the electron screening effect in metals in an energy region of from 5.5 keV to 10 keV in a center of mass system (CMS) at a temperature of 121 K. The depth distribution of deuteron density in Be metals has an impact on the observed reaction yields. A model of deuteron density distribution in metal has been proposed to obtain the original yields. A screening energy of (116±46) eV has been obtained with the assumed deuteron density distribution model. 展开更多
