Based on the theory of the post method pedagogy and the teaching practice, this paper proposes a new teaching model, the self-correction model, and explains it from the point of view of linking theory.
In view of the learners Chinglish, this paper puts forward a new teaching model-the Self-correction Model and makes an analysis of it from the view of cognitive psychology.

Though nearly all the students have learned English for at least six years, when it comes to writing, they are incompetent for it and mistakes appear in their writing time and again. This article means to analyze the reasons of mistakes and attempts to offer some possible means to correct them. Thus students’ writing can be improved.展开更多

Traditional feedback is not as successful as it is expected to be because students haven't concerned themselves with the teacher's comments too much.LIFT(Learner Initiated Feedback Technique), as a creative means of enhancing marking, has been tested and adopted in foreign language teaching. Through the introduction of current conditions of marking of EFL writing, selfcorrection, peer-marking and feedback workshop in EFL secondary classrooms are proposed in light of the theory of LIFT.展开更多

Although the double 3-step phaseshifting method is simple and effective, it needs to add an additional set of fringe sequences, which reduces the measurement efficiency. To this end, this paper introduces a generic and flexible self-correction method for nonlinearity-induced phase error.First, according to the nonlinearity-induced phase error model, we introduce an additional wrapped phase with a phase difference of π/3. The error waveform of the two wrapped phases is opposite but not coincident. Then, we introduce an estimation algorithm for the additional wrapped phase offset. Finally, we fuse the two wrapped phases to correct the phase error. Experiments confirm that the root mean squared error of the proposed method is 64.1% lower than that of the traditional method and 13.3% lower than that of the Hilbert transform method. The proposed method does not require any additional fringes or hardware assistance and can be easily extended to 4-step or 5-step PSP.展开更多

The incident caused enormous damage and resulted in societal unrest because of the lack of reliable information from the formal media channels. Social media — micro blogs —played a major role in reporting on crisis situations. We divided netizens(i.e., the citizens of the net)into high and low types according to their information-critical level to the crisis news. The data shows information deterioration on the crisis news, related to the netizens’ information-critical level. For the traditional media there is the opportunity to use information quality distortion to make more marginal profits. This is possible only if the citizens’ information stays under a certain quality level. The result is overprovision of low quality news and high quality news driven out of the market, whereupon adverse selection(i.e., a lack of symmetric information) appears. However, by adopting a process view, we found self-correcting mechanism(i.e., dying out of rumors) of the social media communities in China. We provided a agent-base model and simulation to show that the more media exist in the market, the faster speed of the information deterioration, but also the capacity to ‘discuss’ rumors.展开更多

Both treatments were given through CALL. Levels of the students (High, Moderate, and Low) served as a moderator variable. The study was conducted with 219 first-year undergraduates of Huachiew Chalermprakiet University in a 2x3 factorial design. At the beginning of the study, all subjects were pre-tested by using the Test of English Tenses Usage (TETU) developed by the researcher. After they completed 9 CALL lessons in 3 weeks, the post-test was conducted. Two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and descriptive statistics were used to analyze and to explain the data. Results showed that the error treatment factor did not have a significant effect on the usage of tenses while the level factor did. The interaction effect between the treatment and the level was not found. The three tenses that showed the highest percentage of correct answers: Simple Present, Present Continuous, and Past Continuous, while the most difficult tenses for them were Present Perfect and Past Perfect.展开更多
