Influencing factors of self-management ability among dry eye patients in west China

AIM:To investigate the current situation and influencing factors of self-management ability in dry eye patients in west China.METHODS:A total of 265 patients clinically diagnosed with dry eye received a convenience survey questionnaire at West China Hospital of Sichuan University.All participants completed the rating scale of health self-management skill for adults(AHSMSRS),Huaxi Emotional-Distress Index(HEI),e-health literacy scale(e-HEALS)and Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire(Brief-IPQ).A generalized linear model was employed to establish a multivariate linear model with demographic data,psychological state,e-HEALS,and illness perception as independent variables and health selfmanagement skill score as the dependent variable.RESULTS:The mean score for health self-management skill was 165.58±15.79.Multivariate analysis revealed that advanced age,better illness perception and improved psychological state were associated with better health selfmanagement ability among dry eye patients.Furthermore,the health self-management ability of patients with a disease duration less than 1y was found to be higher compared to those with a disease duration exceeding 1y.CONCLUSION:The health self-management ability of dry eye patients in west China is relatively high.Age,duration of disease,illness perception and psychological state are the influencing factors on the health selfmanagement ability of dry eye patients.

Design and Implementation of a Comprehensive Training Program for Software Engineering Talents’ Practical Ability

Effect of respiratory muscle training on trunk control and balance ability in stroke patients

Objective: To investigate the effect of respiratory muscle training combined with conventional rehabilitation therapy on trunk control, balance ability and activities of daily living in stroke patients. Methods: Sixty stroke patients were divided into control group and experimental group by random number table, 30 each, and received conventional rehabilitation therapy. Moreover, the experimental group underwent respiratory muscle training (RMT), for four weeks. In each patient, maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP) was measured for the inspiratory muscle strength. Maximal expiratory pressure (MEP) was measured for the expiratory muscle strength. The trunk control was measured using the Trunk Impairment Scale (TIS). The Berg balance scale (BBS) was used to assess the balance function. The modified Barthel index (MBI) was used to evaluate activities of daily living. Results: There were no significant differences in MIP, MEP, TIS, BBS and MBI between the two groups before treatment. The MIP, MEP, TIS, BBS and MBI functions of the control group and the experimental group were improved after treatment, And the functional improvement of the above indicators in the experimental group after treatment was significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion: This study proved that RMT improved respiratory muscle strength, trunk control, balance function, and ADL in stroke patients.

Construction and Practice of a Practical Teaching System for Normal Universities Based on Ability Cultivation

This study aims to explore the effect of project-based teaching methods on improving students’ abilities in normal universities. This study delves into the practice teaching system based on ability training implemented in normal universities, examining the application of this teaching model in teacher education and the potential challenges it may encounter. Our case study reveals that the Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach can effectively transform students from passive recipients of knowledge into active problem solvers, thereby enhancing their critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. However, challenges do exist, including ensuring active participation from all students, providing equal opportunities for each student to develop and showcase their abilities, and completing complex projects within a limited timeframe. Therefore, teachers may need to adjust their teaching strategies, and schools need to provide more resources and support. These adjustments can help the practice teaching system based on ability training better serve teacher education and offer students a higher-quality educational experience.

Interactive Training Model of TRIZ for Mechanical Engineers in China

Abstract： Innovation is a process of taking an original idea and converting it into a business value, in which the engineers face some inventive problems which can be solved hardly by experience. TRIZ, as a new theory for companies in China, provides both conceptual and procedural knowledge for finding and solving inventive problems. Because the government plays a leading role in the diffusion of TRIZ, too many companies from different industries are waiting to be trained, but the quantity of the trainers mastering TRIZ is incompatible with that requirement. In this context, to improve the training effect, an interactive training model of TRIZ for the mechanical engineers in China is developed and the implementation in the form of training classes is carried out. The training process is divided into 6 phases as follows： selecting engineers, training stage-l, finding problems, training stage-2, finding solutions and summing up. The government, TRIZ institutions and companies to join the programs interact during the process. The government initiates and monitors a project in form of a training class of TRIZ and selects companies to join the programs. Each selected companies choose a few engineers to join the class and supervises the training result. The TRIZ institutions design the training courses and carry out training curriculum. With the beginning of the class, an effective communication channel is established by means of interview, discussion face to face, E-mail, QQ and so on. After two years training practices, the results show that innovative abilities of the engineers to join and pass the final examinations increased distinctly, and most of companies joined the training class have taken congnizance of the power of TRIZ for product innovation. This research proposes an interactive training model of TRIZ for mechanical engineers in China to expedite the knowledge diffusion of TRIZ.

Problems and Countermeasures in the Cultivation of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ability among College Students in China

This article analyzes the current situation of cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship ability among college students in China.It found that the main reasons for the lack of innovation and entrepreneurship ability are from three aspects:inadequate awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship among college students;inadequate innovation and entrepreneurship ability among the team of teachers;colleges and universities lack systematic innovation and entrepreneurship courses.The discussion will be based on these three aspects from three perspectives,which include providing more practical opportunities and a good environment,building innovation and entrepreneurship tutor teams,as well as strengthening the construction of innovation and entrepreneurship courses,in order to assist in the cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship ability among college students in China.

Strategy Analysis of Improving Executive Ability of Subject and Object in Landscape Design Teaching

In view of the relationship between executive ability and landscape design teaching, the paper put forward that the executive ability is a key factor restricting teaching effects of landscape design, and then analyzed factors influencing executive ability of subject-object (teachers and students) in the teaching. Aiming at these factors, executive ability of teachers and students in landscape design teaching could be improved by modifying teaching management system, teacher training, developing the role of "project-oriented learning" in shaping the executive ability, and cultivating students' self-study ability, so as to improve the teaching effect of landscape design.

Effects of Water Weight-Loss Walking Training on Lower Limb Motor Function and Gait in Stroke Patients

Background: Water weight-loss walking training is an emerging physical therapy technique, which provides new ideas for improving the motor function of stroke patients and improving the quality of life of patients. However, the rehabilitation effect of water weight-loss training in stroke patients is currently unclear. Objective: To analyze the effect of water weight loss walking training in stroke patients. Methods: A total of 180 stroke patients admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected and randomly divided into two groups. The control group received routine walking training, and the research group performed weight loss walking training in water on this basis. The lower limb motor function, muscle tone grade, daily living ability, gait and balance ability were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: Compared with the control group, the FMA-LE score (Fugl-Meyer motor assessment of Lower Extremity), MBI score (Modified Barthel Index) and BBS score (berg balance scale) of the study group were higher after treatment, and the muscle tone was lower (P Conclusion: Water weight loss walking training can enhance patients’ muscle tension, correct patients’ abnormal gait, improve patients’ balance and walking ability, and contribute to patients’ motor function recovery and self-care ability improvement.

Exploring the Influences of Continuous Self-Management Education on the Self-Care Skills and Health Behavior of Patients with PICC Intubation

Objective:To analyze the effects of continuous self-management education on the selfcare ability and health behavior of patients with tumor through peripherally inserted central venous catheters(PICC).Methods:The period from August 2018 to August 2020 was used as the research time range,and the random number table method was used as the basis for grouping.80 patients with malignant tumors who regularly performed fixed catheter maintenance care in the PICC clinic of our hospital were admitted in the experimental group(given PICC specialist nursing,and implemented continuous self-management education),and 80 patients with PICC tube malignant tumors discharged from the superior hospital during this time range served as the control group(return to the original catheterization hospital from time to time or perform catheter maintenance care in the nursing clinic of our hospital).The self-care ability scores,health behavior scores,and complications during intubation between both groups were analyzed.Results:(1)There was no significant difference in self-care ability score and healthy behavior score between groups before the intervention,P>0.05;the self-care ability score and health behavior score of the research group were better than the control group after intervention,P<0.05;(2)After investigation,the incidence of complications in the research group(2.50%)was lower than that of the control group(10.00%),but there was no difference between the groups,P>0.05.Conclusion:Continuous self-management education has good effects on improving the self-care ability of tumor patients with PICC intubation.It can urge patients to maintain good health behaviors and reduce complications.It is worthy of promotion.
