Nowadays, the role of listening course is changed and listening teaching begins to gain high priority in foreign language learning and teaching. However, the English level of students in China is still poor, especially in the northwest of Guangxi. One of the reasons is that teachers in senior high schools have a tendency to ignore listening, because they think that listening is time-consumed. They have to finish the teaching scheme punctually, though listening is the basic and important skill among the other three skills, listening teaching gains no large progress. 展开更多

The role of grammar in language teaching has always been the question that researchers debate.In recent years,grammar knowledge has been distinguished in the foreign language acquisition research,namely the implicit knowledge and the explicit knowledge(Dai Manchun 2005;Gu Qiyi 2005).As to the reaserch of implicit and explicit grammar knowledge as well as their measurement,it is easy to find that many scholars have studied the role of two different kinds of grammar knowledge in second language development.But the research on the role of implicit and explicit grammar knowledge in second language reading comprehension is too few,not to mention the research on the role of implicit and explicit grammar knowledge in English reading comprehension in the senior high school.The purpose of this study is to find the relationship between implicit and explicit grammatical knowledge and English reading comprehension ability of senior high school students.In addition,since the vocabulary is important to reading comprehension,this factor will also be considered in the study. 展开更多

While academic resilience has been a hot topic in positive psychology,there is still scope for researchers to explore it in the field of applied linguistics.Drawing on the framework of L2(second language) learners’ resilience proposed by T.Y.Kim and Y.K.Kim(2017),the current study aims to examine senior high school students’ English academic resilience(EAR) and its relationship to their English achievement(EA).This study comprises a survey of 454 senior high school students.Follow-up interviews were carried out to triangulate the quantitative findings.The descriptive results demonstrate that students’ EAR is above the average,and its five subscales obtain medium to medium-higher levels due to the mean scores.It shows that students have good EAR that enables them to deal with academic adversity.The correlational analysis shows a low positive correlation between EAR and EA in general,and the subscales share medium to low correlations with students’ EA.EAR has a certain influence on EA,but the correlation may be influenced by other learner variables.Based on the results,suggestions on improving students’ EAR are provided. 展开更多

The subject of cervical cancer prevention will be examined. <strong>Method:</strong> Articles from the ICHUSHI Web version 5, CiNii, and PubMed databases for the period from 2009-2019 were used. Search terms used were cervical cancer, HPV/human papillomavirus, prevention, public awareness, and education.<strong> Results:</strong> 17 articles (9 Japanese and 8 English) were analyzed. The majority of students had heard of cervical cancer but did not know of the link between it and HPV. Vaccinated individuals were significantly more likely to have deeper knowledge regarding cervical cancer and HPV. Various factors affect the vaccination rate. These include knowledge of HPV and cervical cancer, age, ethnicity, the organization or location which administers the vaccine, how to breach the subject, finances, and the opinions of friends and family. In particular, consultations with parents lead to mothers recognizing the importance of the vaccine. By way of educational intervention, opinions have grown more positive about advancing awareness, being vaccinated, and having cervical cancer screenings for the future.<strong> Conclusion: </strong>The prevention of cervical cancer requires support and fostering the judgement based on sufficient awareness and adequate education. What we need is educational intervention rooted firmly in the current societal climate aimed not only at students, but at their parents as well. 展开更多

Objective:The study aims to understand the level of perceived stress and related influencing factors among the urban and rural senior high school students in China and their channels of coping with the stress,when they shifted from home-based online learning to on-campus learning after their return to school during the post-Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic period.Methods:From January to March 2021,the Chinese Perceived Stress Scale(SSCPs-14)and a self-designed questionnaire were used for the online survey among the senior high school students from six secondary schools(three from cities and three from counties)in three provinces of China(Shandong,Shanghai and Sichuan)who were selected by convenient sampling.Descriptive analysis,t-test,χ^(2)test and multivariate logistic regression were used to analyze the data.Results:A total of 1,462 respondents were enrolled in the study,of which 41.66%were urban students and 58.34%were rural ones.Their overall average score of CPSS-14 was 21.69±7.65.The respondents reported the following influencing factors of perceived stress,including"Change of their learning and sleep schedule(OR=1.426,95%CI:1.056~1.927,P=0.021),"Communication with their family members(OR=2.820,95%CI:1.971~4.034,P<0.001)and"The family’s financial status"(OR=1.675,95%CI:1.181~2.376,P=0.004).Their coping strategies when facing with the stress were ranked from high to low frequency as follows:"Talk to friends(34.63%)","Talk to parents(26.88%)","Seek help from teachers(14.53%)","Deal with it on my own(13.21%)","Seek help from a psychological counsellor(7.95%),"Others(1.42%)"and"Ignore the problem(1.39%)".Rural students with three and more than three coping channels(44%)were more than urban students(36%),with a statistically significant difference between the two(χ^(2)=10.878,P=0.012).A higher proportion of respondents(49.4%)with fewer coping channels reported high level of perceived stress,compared with those with multiple coping channels(33.4%).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(χ^(2)=55.956,P<0.001).Conclusion:Senior high school students were faced with the stress brought about by the shift from the on-line learning to on-campus learning after their return to school during the post-COVID-19 pandemic period.The change of their learning and sleeping schedule,communication with family and their family’s financial status were the main influencing factors of senior high school students'stress after their return to school.Senior high school students with more coping channels had lower level of stress.Therefore,it is suggested that stress relief measures should be taken to promote the mental health of senior high school students in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period. 展开更多

2022年上海奉贤区高中生视力不良现状及与教室视觉环境关系的分析

目的:掌握奉贤区高中生视力不良情况,调查教室视觉环境情况,为完善我区儿童青少年近视综合防控工作提供依据。方法:对辖区高中生全覆盖屈光建档,随机抽取城乡高中各1所,监测教室视觉环境,依照相关标准监测评价,并分析高中生视力不良与... 目的:掌握奉贤区高中生视力不良情况,调查教室视觉环境情况,为完善我区儿童青少年近视综合防控工作提供依据。方法:对辖区高中生全覆盖屈光建档,随机抽取城乡高中各1所,监测教室视觉环境,依照相关标准监测评价,并分析高中生视力不良与教室视觉环境的相关性。结果:奉贤区高中生视力不良率91.24%,女生视力不良率(92.60%)高于男生(88.97%),高三学生视力不良率最高(92.69%);2所监测点高中学校的黑板照度均匀度(100%)、黑板反射比(91.67%)、黑板平均照度(83.33%)、黑板下缘到讲台的距离(83.33%)合格率较高,其他教室视觉环境卫生指标合格率均较低。城市高中和农村高中教室人均面积、后墙反射比合格率差异有统计学意义(χ2=12,P=0.002;χ2=8.571,P=0.015),其他指标合格率差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05);未发现高中生视力不良与教室视觉环境存在相关性。结论:上海奉贤区高中学校仍需进一步改进教室布局、课桌椅分配等,持续改善教室视觉环境,建设视觉友好环境。 展开更多

In the context of China, the maximum use of English is promoted at governmental administrative levels to create effective learning policies(Van & Zhao, 2010) However, during the actual teaching process, the rules are frequently broken by teachers. Hence in order to gain a better understanding of the issue in Chinese senior high school context, the present research seeks to examine teachers' and students' attitudes and beliefs with respect to their perceived functions and effects in incorporating L1 in classrooms. In accordance with previous literature, The research indicated positive role of L1, especially in enhancing students' understanding of difficult concepts and creating comfortable learning environment. [目的]了解高一新生的心理卫生知识知晓率水平,为进一步开展心理健康教育提供依据。[方法]采用分层随机抽样方法对某中学高一新生进行问卷调查,获得有效问卷205份。使用SPSS13.0统计软件进行数据处理。[结果]205名高一新生的心理卫生知识平均知晓率为62.00%。获得心理卫生知识的主要途径是学校教育(47.80%)。发生心理问题时首先选择找朋友倾诉的学生比例最大(48.00%)。受同学之间人际关系困扰的学生最多(36.60%)。仅有16.20%的学生能辨别抑郁症。[结论]应进一步加强中学生心理卫生知识宣传教育,以提高学生心理素质。 展开更多

[目的]调查太原市某区某4所高中2016年—2018年入学新生的结核病筛查结果。[方法]选取太原市某区4所高中2016年—2018年入学的4997名新生作为研究对象,采用回顾性分析方法从系统中调取研究对象入学体检时的结核菌素试验(PPD)结果。[结果]4所高中2016年—2018年共5361名新生入学,PPD试验有效查验4997人(93.21%),PPD试验阳性率为14.53%,强阳性率为4.74%。2016年—2018年新生PPD试验阳性率3组比较差异无统计学意义(χ2=3.40,P=0.18);2016年—2018年新生PPD试验强阳性率3组比较差异无统计学意义(χ2=2.63,P=0.27)。4所学校新生PPD试验阳性率4组比较差异有统计学意义(χ2=19.63,P<0.001);4所学校新生PPD试验强阳性率4组比较差异无统计学意义(χ2=5.84,P=0.12)。2016年—2018年4所学校男生PPD试验阳性率与女生比较差异无统计学意义(χ2=0.00,P=0.96);2016年—2018年4所学校PPD试验男生强阳性率与女生比较差异有统计学意义(χ2=9.76,P=0.00)。[结论]所调查学校的学生健康管理措施及卫生环境落实的持续性总体较好,4所学校新生PPD试验阳性率基本稳定,女生应当作为肺结核感染的重点防治对象,PPD试验阳性率高的学校应进一步加强学校卫生管理,积极开展宣教工作,有效控制肺结核的发生。 展开更多

[目的]了解宝鸡市2003~2005年间高中生常见病状况及变化,为控制中学生常见病提供科学依据。[方法]以宝鸡市3所生源相对固定的中学为对象,依据《全国学生常见病综合防治方案》中的常见病测定方法和种类,同时增加乙肝表面抗原、挑食偏食等常见病种类,连续监测检查3年共3539名高中学生常见病情况并进行资料统计分析。[结果]2003~2005年间,高中学生近视、营养不良、沙眼、龋齿、肺结核、血压异常、HBsAg阳性、挑食偏食、身高下等及体重下等的平均患病率分别为83.07%、46.25%、19.75%、6.02%、0.08%、9.80%、2.54%、25.04%、9.75%、14.18%。其中近视、营养不良、血压异常、身高下等及体重下等的患病率3年间差异有统计学意义(P﹤0.01),且近视和身高下等患病率呈现逐年上升趋势。[结论]宝鸡市高中生常见病状况不容乐观,争取政府重视,多部门协调配合,加强专业人员业务培训,广泛开展健康教育,使高中生常见病患病率得到有效控制。 展开更多
