Diagnostic efficacy of virtual organ computer-assisted analysis in measuring the volume ratio of subchorionic hematoma with serum progesterone

BACKGROUND Subchorionic hematoma(SCH)is a common complication in early pregnancy characterized by the accumulation of blood between the uterine wall and the chorionic membrane.SCH can lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes such as miscarriage,preterm birth,and other complications.Early detection and accurate assessment of SCH are crucial for appropriate management and improved pregnancy outcomes.AIM To evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of virtual organ computer-assisted analysis(VOCAL)in measuring the volume ratio of SCH to gestational sac(GS)combined with serum progesterone on early pregnancy outcomes in patients with SCH.METHODS A total of 153 patients with SCH in their first-trimester pregnancies between 6 and 11 wk were enrolled.All patients were followed up until a gestational age of 20 wk.The parameters of transvaginal two-dimensional ultrasound,including the circumference of SCH(Cs),surface area of SCH(Ss),circumference of GS(Cg),and surface area of GS(Sg),and the parameters of VOCAL with transvaginal three-dimensional ultrasound,including the three-dimensional volume of SCH(3DVs)and GS(3DVg),were recorded.The size of the SCH and its ratio to the GS size(Cs/Cg,Ss/Sg,3DVs/3DVg)were recorded and compared.RESULTS Compared with those in the normal pregnancy group,the adverse pregnancy group had higher Cs/Cg,Ss/Sg,and 3DVs/3DVg ratios(P<0.05).When 3DVs/3DVg was 0.220,the highest predictive performance predicted adverse pregnancy outcomes,resulting in an AUC of 0.767,and the sensitivity,specificity were 70.2%,75%respectively.VOCAL measuring 3DVs/3DVg combined with serum progesterone gave a diagnostic AUC of 0.824 for early pregnancy outcome in SCH patients,with a high sensitivity of 82.1%and a specificity of 72.1%,which showed a significant difference between AUC.CONCLUSION VOCAL-measured 3DVs/3DVg effectively quantifies the severity of SCH,while combined serum progesterone better predicts adverse pregnancy outcomes. 展开更多

This study aimed to explore the application of surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)in the rapid diagnosis of gastric cancer.The SERS spectra of 68 serum samples from gastric cancer patients and healthy volunteers were acquired.The characteristic ratio method(CRM)and principal component analysis(PCA)were used to differentiate gastric cancer serum from normal serum.Compared with healthy volunteers,the serum SERS intensity of gastric cancer patients was relatively high at 722 cm^(-1),while it was relatively low at 588,644,861,1008,1235,1397,1445 and 1586 cm^(-1).These results indicated that the relative content of nucleic acids in the serum of gastric cancer patients rises while the relative content of amino acids and carbohydrates decreases.In PCA,the sensitivity and specificity of discriminating gastric cancer were 94.1%and 94.1%,respectively,with the accuracy of 94.1%.Based on the intensity ratios of four characteristic peaks at 722,861,1008 and 1397 cm^(-1),CRM presented the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of 100%and 97.4%,respectively,and the accuracy of 98.5%.Therefore,the three peak intensity ratios of I_(722)/I_(861),I_(722)/I_(1008)and I_(722)/I_(1397)can be considered as biologicalfingerprint information for gastric cancer diagnosis and can rapidly and directly reflect the physiological and pathological changes associated with gastric cancer development.This study provides an important basis and standards for the early diagnosis of gastric cancer. 展开更多

[Method] According to the sequences of SHBG gene in human and cow, one pair of primers was designed to amplify the DNA sequences of SHBG gene in pig, and the partial exons of SHBG gene were determined according to the principles of comparative genomics. Then the sequences and homology were analyzed. [ Result] The amplified SHBG gene was 841 bp in size, and its se- quences had 100.00% nucleotide homology to the CH242-411 E2 fragment on pig chromosome 12. The determined exon 4, exon 5 and exon 6 of SHBG gene were 162, 159 and 156 bp in size, respectively, and the amino acids sequences encoded by these three exons had 74.51% homology to that of human and 73.86% homology to that of cow, respectively. [ Conclusionl The partial exons of SHBG gene were determined successfully, which provides a basis for further research on the structure, accurate determination and allocation of SHBG gene in pig. 展开更多

Global Optimization of Norris Derivative Filtering with Application for Near-Infrared Analysis of Serum Urea Nitrogen 被引量:2

Near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy combined with chemometrics methods was applied to the rapid and reagent-free analysis of serum urea nitrogen (SUN). The mul-partitions modeling was performed to achieve parameter stability. A large-scale parameter cyclic and global optimization platform for Norris derivative filter (NDF) of three parameters (the derivative order: d, the number of smoothing points: s and the number of differential gaps: g) was developed with PLS regression. Meantime, the parameters’ adaptive analysis of NDF algorithm was also given, and achieved a significantly better modeling effect than one without spectral pre-processing. After eliminating the interference wavebands of saturated absorption, the modeling performance was further improved. In validation, the root mean square error (SEP), correlation coefficient (RP) for prediction and the ratio of performance to deviation (RPD) were 1.66 mmol?L-1, 0.966 and 4.7, respectively. The results showed that the high-precision analysis of SUN was feasibility based on NIR spectroscopy and Norris-PLS. The global optimization method of NDF is also expected to be applied to other analysis objects. 展开更多

Purpose: We evaluated biochemical analysis results with the aim of discovering serum levels that have possible effects on the development of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). Methods: A retrospective study was conducted between January 2017 and January 2018 on a total of 110 infants with 35 or less gestational weeks. The sample included 78 infants who had been diagnosed with different stages of ROP and 32 infants without ROP. Results from routine serum biochemical analyses, performed at birth and at one month after birth, were evaluated. The Independent Sample t-test and Mann-Whitney U test were performed to compare the data. Results: The infants with ROP were born at a mean of 28.0 (±2.1) weeks of gestation, weighing a mean of 1066 (±314) g, and the mean duration of stay in the incubator was 38.2 (±19) days. The infants without ROP were born at a mean of 29.6 (±2.6) weeks of gestation, weighing a mean of 1265 (±372) g. 59 infants (53.6%) were females, and 51 (46.4%) were males. Between infants with and without ROP, differences in the following levels were not statistically significant: glucose, blood urine nitrogen, creatinine, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, albumin, total protein, direct bilirubin, indirect bilirubin, uric acid, and phosphorus. Serum magnesium (Mg) levels at birth in infants with ROP were significantly higher than infants without ROP (p = 0.014). Conclusions: Serum Mg levels at birth were found to be higher in infants with ROP than in those without ROP. The levels may be dependent on the mothers’ treatment of Mg for different medical reasons. 展开更多

We applied near-infrared(NIR)spectroscopy with chemometrics for the rapid and reagent-fee analysis of serum urea nitrogen(SUN).The modeling is based on the average effect of multiple sample partitions to achieve parameter selection with stability.A multiparameter optimization platform with Norris derivative filter-partial least squares(Norris-PLS)was developed to select the most suitable mode(d=2,s=33,g=15).Using equidistant combination PLS(EC-PLS)with four parameters(initial wavelength I,number of wavelengths N,number of wavelength gaps G and latent variables LV),we performed wavelength screening after eliminating high-absorption wavebands.The optimal EC-PLS parameters were I=1228 nm,N=26,G=16 and LV=12.The root-mean square error(SEP),correlation coefficient(R_(p))for prediction and ratio of performance-to-deviation(RPD)for validation were 1.03 mmol L^(-1),0.992 and 7.6,respectively.We proposed the wavelength step-by-step phase-out PLS(WSP-PLS)to remove redun-dant wavelengths in the top 100 EC-PLS models with improved prediction performance.The combination of 19 wavelengths was identifed as the optimal model for SUN.The SEP,Rp and RPD in validation were 1.01 mmol L^(-1),0.992 and 7.7,respectively.The prediction effect and wavelength complexity were better than those of EC-PIS.Our results showed that NIR spectroscopy combined with the EC-PLS and WSP-PLS methods enabled the high-precision analysis ofSUN.WSP-PLS is a secondary optimization method that can further optimize any wavelength moc odel obtained through other continuous or discrete strategies to establish a simple and better model. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to clarify the association between Cu levels and heart failure(HF)using a meta-analysis approach.METHODS We searched articles in the Pub Med,EMbase,CNKI,Wanfang,VIP and CBM Database published as of August 2016.The case control study on the relationship between serum copper levels and HF were collected and read and extracted by two independent researchers.A Meta analysis was conducted using Stata 12.0 software.RESULTS A total of twenty-one eligible articles,including 893 HF and 654 control subjects,were enrolled.The Meta analysis showed that serum copper levels in HF were higher than control group[SMD=0.881,95%CI:(0.487,1.264),Z=4.5,P<0.001].The sensitivity analysis indicated that the results were reliable.Begg′s tests did not find the existence of publication bias.CONCLUSION This metaanalysis indicates that there is a significant association between high Cu serum level and HF. 展开更多

The result showed that the cDNA was 2203 bp long and the open reading frame (ORF) of 2106 bp encoded 701 amino acid with a calculated molecular weight of 80.5 kDa and an isoelectric point of 5.87. The onion maggot LSp-2 shows highest homology (83%) to that ofCalliphora vicinaat amino acid level. Its signal peptides, domains and structures were predicted and analyzed by using bioinformatic methods. The amino acid sequence of LSP-2 suggests that it would be a typical hexamerin. 展开更多

The serum levels of Zn, Se and Cu of thecases and controls were detected. The resultsshowed that most echinococciasis cases weredistributed in Shiqu county (17.1%, 7/41), and only1 case was distributed in Yajiang county (2.4%). Themale to female ratio of the cases was 1:1.56. Theechinococciasis patients were mainly aged 30-39years (36.59%, 15/41). And, the cases aged 20-49years accounted for 68.29% (28/41). Comparedwith health controls, the serum levels of Zn and Seof the cases significantly declined. However, theserum level of Cu of the cases had no significantlychange. It was confirmed that the serum levels ofZn and Se were interrelated with the prevalence ofechinococciasis. 展开更多

Objective This study was undertaken to investigate the influencing factors on serum ALT level and hepatitis C virus(HCV)RNA titer in chronic hepatitis C(CHC)patients.Methods All patients enrolled into this study were anti-HCV positive.Retrospective tracing method was applied to detect serum ALT level and HCV RNA titer and to collect general information of the patients such as genders,age groups,interferon medication history,infection pathways,height and weight.Then the multi-factor analysis was adopted with the application of binominal logistic regression mode.Results The abnormal rate of ALT level was positively correlated to HCV RNA and gender while negatively correlated to interferon medication history and age group,with Wald value of the 4 factors as 39.604,11.823,18.991 and 7.389,respectively.The positive rate of HCV RNA was negatively correlated to interferon medication history and gender while positively correlated to ALT level,with corresponding Wald value of the 3 factors as81.394,7.618 and 27.562,respectively.Conclusions The normal ALT level in HCV infected patients was associated with viral load,age,gender and interferon medication history,while the normal rate of HCV RNA titer was closely associated with gender,interferon medication history and ALT level. 展开更多

Background:Dermatomyositis-associated interstitial lung disease(DM-ILD)represents a severe and insidious complication of dermatomyositis(DM).The study aimed to investigate the association between DM-ILD and arterial blood gas indices,serum ion levels,and the timing of interstitial lung disease onset,with the goal of identifying potential predictors for DM-ILD.Methods:The investigation involved the collection of basic data from 89 patients with DM hospitalized at the Chinese PLA General Hospital between January 2019 and April 2022,and 43 normal control patients hospitalized for physical examinations during the same period.Analyses were conducted to explore the relationship between DM-ILD,arterial blood gas indices,disease duration,and serum ions.A regression model to predict DM-ILD was developed using these indices,and a receiver operating characteristic curve was generated.Results:Significant differences were observed in pH and PaO2 between the control group and the disease group(p<0.05).The DM group exhibited higher levels of pH,actual bicarbonate,and base excess(BE)compared with the control group.In contrast,pH and BE levels were lower in the DM-ILD group than in the DM group,with these differences being statistically significant(p<0.05).Interstitial lung disease was correlated with the duration of the disease and pH levels(p<0.05).The cutoff values for age,disease duration,pH,and Cl^(-)were 55.5 years,5.5 years,7.432,and 101.5 mmol/L,respectively.The model demonstrated a prediction sensitivity and specificity for DM-ILD of 0.809 and 0.722,respectively,with an area under the curve of 0.809.Conclusion:Arterial blood gas analysis and serum Cl^(-)levels may assist in predicting DM-ILD.A combined monitoring approach involving arterial blood gas pH,disease duration,age,and serum Cl^(-)levels could enhance the accuracy of DM-ILD predictions and hold significant clinical evaluation potential. 展开更多

AIM: To assess the association between endogenous cortisol level and the risk of central serous chorioretinopathy(CSC).METHODS: Case-control studies were systematically searched on PubM ed, Embase, Cochrane, China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI) for publishes between January 1990 and July 2017 to assess the association between endogenous cortisol level and CSC. The main endpoints were serum cortisol level at 8 a.m. and 24-hour urine 17-hydroxysteroids level. We assessed pooled data using a random-effects model.RESULTS: Of 86 identified studies, 5 were eligible included in our analysis. The 5 studies included a total of 315 participants, of whom 187 had CSC. Statistically significant association was observed between serum cortisol level(summary SMD=0.77, 95%CI=0.55-0.99), 24-hour urine 17-hydroxysteroids level(summary SMD=0.95, 95%CI=0.61-1.30), and the risk of CSC.CONCLUSION: Endogenous cortisol level is associated with an increased risk of CSC. Combined treatment targeting the serum cortisol level at 8 a.m. and 24-hour urine 17-hydroxysteroids level can be a potential preventive strategy for individuals who are at risk of CSC and therapeutic strategy for patients with CSC. 展开更多

肾移植术后尿路感染209例的临床特点及危险因素分析

目的探讨肾移植术后不同时期尿路感染的特点及其相关危险因素。方法回顾性分析209例肾移植受者的临床资料,按照术后随访时间分为3个时期,第一时期为移植术后1个月内,第二时期为术后1~6个月,第三时期为术后7~12个月。分析肾移植术后不同... 目的探讨肾移植术后不同时期尿路感染的特点及其相关危险因素。方法回顾性分析209例肾移植受者的临床资料,按照术后随访时间分为3个时期,第一时期为移植术后1个月内,第二时期为术后1~6个月,第三时期为术后7~12个月。分析肾移植术后不同时期尿路感染的发生情况,发生尿路感染受者的尿培养结果及常见病原菌耐药特点。分析反复尿路感染者的菌群,分析尿路感染的危险因素及尿路感染对移植肾功能的影响。结果第一时期尿路感染率为90.0%,第二时期尿路感染率为49.3%,第三时期尿路感染率为22.5%。第二时期、第三时期亲属活体器官捐献男性受者的尿路感染率低于女性受者(均为P<0.05)。尿培养结果阳性60例,共检出病原菌84株,以革兰阴性菌为主,其中肺炎克雷伯菌占比最高。66例受者反复发生尿路感染,检出病原菌包括肺炎克雷伯菌、大肠埃希菌、光滑假丝酵母菌和其他。单因素分析结果显示,术后使用抗胸腺细胞球蛋白是第一时期发生尿路感染的危险因素,术前尿路感染、供者类型是第二时期发生尿路感染组的危险因素,受者性别、年龄是第三时期发生尿路感染的危险因素;多因素分析结果显示,术后使用抗胸腺细胞球蛋白是第一时期发生尿路感染的危险因素,受者性别、年龄是第三时期发生尿路感染的危险因素(均为P<0.05)。第三时期治愈65例,未治愈38例,治愈患者治疗后血清肌酐及白细胞水平较治疗前下降(均为P<0.05)。结论肾移植受者尿路感染以革兰阴性菌为主,其耐药性较高;术后使用抗胸腺细胞球蛋白、女性和高龄是肾移植受者发生尿路感染的危险因素。 展开更多

镁补充改善糖尿病患者血清胰岛素水平的Meta分析

系统评价口服镁补充改善糖尿病患者血清胰岛素水平的效果。采用计算机检索PubMed、EBSCO、The Cochrane Library、CNKI、Web of Science数据库,搜集口服镁补充改善糖尿病患者血清胰岛素水平的相关研究,独立筛查文献、提取资料并评价纳... 系统评价口服镁补充改善糖尿病患者血清胰岛素水平的效果。采用计算机检索PubMed、EBSCO、The Cochrane Library、CNKI、Web of Science数据库,搜集口服镁补充改善糖尿病患者血清胰岛素水平的相关研究,独立筛查文献、提取资料并评价纳入研究的偏倚风险后采用R studio软件进行Meta分析。亚组分析结果显示,口服镁补充在镁缺乏糖尿病患者中[SMD=-0.29,95%CI(-1.07,0.48),P>0.01]、4~6周补充周期[SMD=-0.74(-1.69,0.20),P>0.01]、250~300 mg/d剂量[SMD=-63(-1.25,0),P<0.01]改善血清胰岛素水平效果更佳,说明口服镁补充对于改善糖尿病患者血清胰岛素水平具有良好的效果。 展开更多

动态监测脑利尿钠肽、D-二聚体、血清白蛋白与球蛋白比值对慢性阻塞性肺疾病急性加重期患者预后的预测意义

目的探究血清脑利尿钠肽(BNP)、D-二聚体(D-D)及白蛋白与球蛋白比值(AGR)在预测慢性阻塞性肺疾病急性加重期(AECOPD)患者预后中的价值。方法选取2021年1月至2023年4月于安徽医科大学附属巢湖医院住院治疗的162例AECOPD患者为研究对象,... 目的探究血清脑利尿钠肽(BNP)、D-二聚体(D-D)及白蛋白与球蛋白比值(AGR)在预测慢性阻塞性肺疾病急性加重期(AECOPD)患者预后中的价值。方法选取2021年1月至2023年4月于安徽医科大学附属巢湖医院住院治疗的162例AECOPD患者为研究对象,根据其治疗1年内的预后情况将其分为预后不良组(64例)和预后良好组(98例),记录并分析两组一般临床资料,采用多因素logistic回归分析AECOPD患者预后不良的影响因素。结果预后不良组吸烟史占比高于预后良好组(P<0.05);两组入院第7天血清BNP、D-D水平低于第1天,AGR水平高于第1天(P<0.05);入院第1天,预后不良组BNP、D-D水平高于预后良好组,AGR水平低于预后良好组(P<0.05);多因素logistic回归分析结果显示,有吸烟史(OR=4.125,95%CI:1.632~10.428,P=0.003)、入院第1天血清AGR低(OR=0.008,95%CI:0.001~0.071,P<0.001)、BNP高(OR=1.097,95%CI:1.045~1.151,P<0.001)、D-D高(OR=46.669,95%CI:5.374~405.269,P<0.001)是预后不良的主要危险因素;Pearson相关性分析结果显示,入院第1天血清BNP(r=0.376,P<0.001)、D-D水平(r=0.351,P<0.001)与AECOPD患者预后不良呈正相关;入院第1天AGR(r=-0.296,P<0.001)与AECOPD患者预后不良呈负相关;ROC曲线显示,入院第1天血清BNP、D-D、AGR指标联合预测AECOPD患者预后不良的AUC高于各项指标单一预测(P<0.05)。结论动态监测血清BNP、D-D和AGR水平对于AECOPD患者预后的预测具有重要意义,入院初期的血清指标具有早期预测价值。 展开更多

绿豆7S球蛋白基因鉴定及在籽粒发育中的表达分析

为阐明绿豆7S(Vigna radiata 7S,Vr7S)球蛋白基因的基本性质及其在籽粒生长发育过程中的表达模式,本研究运用生物信息学、反转录聚合酶链式反应(reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction,RT-PCR)对10个Vr7S球蛋白基因的理化性... 为阐明绿豆7S(Vigna radiata 7S,Vr7S)球蛋白基因的基本性质及其在籽粒生长发育过程中的表达模式,本研究运用生物信息学、反转录聚合酶链式反应(reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction,RT-PCR)对10个Vr7S球蛋白基因的理化性质、基因结构特征、蛋白三级结构、系统发育关系及基因表达谱等进行研究。结果表明,Vr7S球蛋白基因编码的蛋白长度为246~594个氨基酸,等电点位于5.02~6.40之间,分子质量为27.82~70.02 kDa;所有Vr7S球蛋白基因包含3~7个外显子、2~6个内含子、5~8个保守基序;除Vr7S B1具有1个cupin保守结构域外,其余9个基因均含有2个cupin结构域;Vr7S球蛋白三级结构有4种类型,主要包含α-螺旋、β-链等结构;在cupin保守结构域中,绿豆和其他物种共有67个保守氨基酸残基,绿豆与赤豆7S球蛋白基因间的同源关系最近,其次是菜豆、木豆及大豆等。基于不同绿豆品种、不同发育时期籽粒的转录组测序和RT-PCR表达谱分析显示,Vr7S球蛋白基因伴随着绿豆籽粒的发育成熟呈现表达量升高的趋势,这与其他豆科物种7S球蛋白基因的表达模式一致,表明其在绿豆籽粒贮藏蛋白的生成调控过程中具有积极作用。本研究为进一步解析Vr7S球蛋白基因在绿豆籽粒发育中的生物学功能奠定了基础。 展开更多
