“Between Heaven and Earth” Scientific Basis of the Action of Shao Yin: Lightning’s Physical-Mathematical Analysis

In an analytic methodological approach, TCM Shao Yin circuit and Lightning physics are compared in order to provide an academic support to relate these phenomena. The aim of this work is to offer a scientific description contrasting both events, so to find an electrophysiological explanation for the complementary resuscitation maneuver over K-1 Yongquan acupuncture point.

Effects of Dan-shao-hua-xian on expression of PPAR-gamma and NF-kappa B in rat liver fibrosis

BACKGROUND: Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-gamma) and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappa B) play important roles in liver fibrosis. This study aimed to investigate the effects of Dan-shao-hua-xian, a preparation of traditional Chinese medicine, on the expression of PPAR-gamma and NF-kappa B in the fibrotic livers of rats. METHODS: Seventy Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: treatment (model, 8 weeks+treatment, 8 weeks; group A), natural recovery (model, 8 weeks+ saline, 8 weeks; group B), model (model only, 8 weeks; group Q, and control (normal, untreated, 16 weeks; group D). Each group consisted of 20 rats (except for group D, which had 10). Fibrotic liver models were induced in rats by subcutaneous injection of CCI4, oral administration of alcohol and a high-lipid/low-protein diet for 8 weeks. After the models were established, the rats in group A were orally given Dan-shao-hua-xian capsules daily for another 8 weeks. Then, the liver indices serum hyaluronic acid (HA), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were measured. The degree of hepatic fibrosis was evaluated by optical microscopy. Hydroxyproline (Hyp) in the liver tissue was determined. The expression of PPAR-gamma was detected by immunohistochemical techniques. The protein levels of PPAR-gamma and NF-kappa B were determined by Western blotting. RESULTS: The concentrations of serum HA, TNF-alpha and Hyp in group C increased compared with group D (P<0.05), and they decreased in group A compared with group C (P<0.05). The expression of PPAR-gamma in group C decreased compared with group D (P<0.05), and it increased in group A compared with groups B and C (P<0.05). Similarly, Western blotting showed that the expression of PPAR-gamma in group C decreased compared with group D, and it increased in group A compared with group C. The expression of NF-kappa B increased in group C compared with group D (P<0.05), and it decreased in group A compared with group C (P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Dan-shao-hua-xian capsules enhance the expression of PPAR-gamma but decrease that of TNF-alpha and NF-kappa B in the liver tissues of CCI4-induced hepatic fibrotic rats. These effects may play a role in its activity in treating hepatic fibrosis.

得体乎?未得乎?——宋明理学对邵雍“老子得易之体”一语的讨论与争辩

伴随着理学的兴起与发展,尊儒教、辟异端(主要指释老之学)成为理学家的重要任务.对于老子其人其学,北宋邵雍有一句评语曰“老子知易之体”,此语后被朱熹转述为“老子得易之体”.邵雍的体用论自成一系,与程朱所秉持的“体用一源”的体用论并不相同.“老子知易之体”表达的是老子得易之虚体而未得易之神用.在未深究邵雍体用论的前提下,后世儒者将该语带入“体用一源”的框架内进行理解,将邵雍之意理解为扬老抑儒.朱熹、胡居仁、湛若水、纪大奎等人对此语严加攻驳,而王畿、田艺蘅等人则各辟蹊径,对邵雍之说加以肯定.老子究竟得“易之体”与否?其人其学究竟是体用兼该还是有体无用?这些问题在理学家群体中所引发的持久争辩,反映的是学者对易学主旨、儒道优劣、皇王正道与权谋智术之关系等问题的不同理解.

发头裸腹Shao生物学特征的初步研究

研究了温度、食物对发头裸腹Shao的生长、生殖和寿命的影响。结果：水温高。发头裸腹Shao的生长快；用月形藻培养产仔早；在富含单衣藻、隐藻的池水中，其个体产仔量高；水温低，其寿命长；自然水域中，它的种群衰退与水温高低关系不大，但与饵料多寡，种间竞争有关。

绍派伤寒名家俞根初治疫思想探析

俞根初是绍派伤寒奠基人,其所著《通俗伤寒论》论述四时外感疾病,提倡寒温融合,包含治疫思想。俞氏提出“三焦赅疫证”,认为疫病感则迅速传变三焦,治从通调三焦入手。书中内容涉及温疫、寒疫、杂疫,主张舌脉合参预判疫病转归,针对性创制新方开达膜原,和解三焦;下法逐毒,通利三焦;寒疫则审时求因,对症立方。同时配合多种外治法以求速功,强调祛邪务尽,善后务细,疫病后期善用鲜药养阴及通风调护。俞氏论治疫病的思想对于现代临床传染病诊治具有指导意义。

针灸结合邵氏按揉牵拉法治疗小儿肌性斜颈疗效观察

目的:观察针灸结合邵氏按揉牵拉法治疗小儿先天性肌性斜颈(CMT)的效果。方法:60例根据单双数法均分为两组各30例,两组均行针灸治疗,观察组加用邵氏按揉牵拉法治疗。结果:总有效率观察组高于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗后观察组颈部被动关节活动度高于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗后两组肿块面积、肿块厚度均降低,且观察组低于对照组(P<0.05)。结论:针灸结合邵氏按揉牵拉法治疗CMT可提高疗效。

基于“少阳为枢”与“络风内动—络损神伤”理论探讨双心疾病的治疗

双心疾病为身心疾病的一种,是临床上多发的、容易忽视的一类疾病。中医领域中“心脏”和“情志”同属于“心系”范畴,两者生理相依,相互为病。少阳为枢,与心系疾病关系密切。枢机功能不利,表里不通、气血壅塞、五脏不顺,则扰动络脉,络风内动、损伤心络,络损神伤而发为双心疾病。可见“少阳为枢”与“络风内动—络损神伤”两者相互联系,结合文献研究与本团队前期论述,基于双心疾病的病机变化和临床表现,从理法方药角度探讨两种理论联系与共通,综合剖析以两种理论为指导方针治疗双心疾病的可行性,为提高临床双心疾病的诊治提供新思路。
