The existence of outliers can seriously influence the analysis of variational data assimilation.Quality control allows us to effectively eliminate or absorb these outliers to produce better analysis fields.In particul...The existence of outliers can seriously influence the analysis of variational data assimilation.Quality control allows us to effectively eliminate or absorb these outliers to produce better analysis fields.In particular,variational quality control(VarQC) can process gray zone outliers and is thus broadly used in variational data assimilation systems.In this study,governing equations are derived for two VarQC algorithms that utilize different contaminated Gaussian distributions(CGDs): Gaussian plus flat distribution and Huber norm distribution.As such,these VarQC algorithms can handle outliers that have non-Gaussian innovations.Then,these VarQC algorithms are implemented in the Global/Regional Assimilation and PrEdiction System(GRAPES) model-level three-dimensional variational data assimilation(m3 DVAR) system.Tests using artificial observations indicate that the VarQC method using the Huber distribution has stronger robustness for including outliers to improve posterior analysis than the VarQC method using the Gaussian plus flat distribution.Furthermore,real observation experiments show that the distribution of observation analysis weights conform well with theory,indicating that the application of VarQC is effective in the GRAPES m3 DVAR system.Subsequent case study and longperiod data assimilation experiments show that the spatial distribution and amplitude of the observation analysis weights are related to the analysis increments of the mass field(geopotential height and temperature).Compared to the control experiment,VarQC experiments have noticeably better posterior mass fields.Finally,the VarQC method using the Huber distribution is superior to the VarQC method using the Gaussian plus flat distribution,especially at the middle and lower levels.展开更多
This study analyzes the role of financial development(FD)on the impact of technologi-cal innovation(TI)on six environmental quality indicators for the 25 economies that are part of the Organization for Economic Cooper...This study analyzes the role of financial development(FD)on the impact of technologi-cal innovation(TI)on six environmental quality indicators for the 25 economies that are part of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development for the period from 2000 to 2019.We use a two-step dynamic generalized method of moments approach to understand this relationship.The results show that FD augments the posi-tive effects of TI on four of the six environmental indicators,namely ecological foot-print,adjusted net savings,pressure on nature,and environmental performance.However,no significant effects on environmental sustainability and environmental vulnerability indices were found.When considering all of the environmental quality indicators,TI appears to enhance environmental quality.We find evidence to support the existence of the environmental Kuznets curve in the context of each environmen-tal indicator and economic growth.Moreover,FD and energy consumption appear to accelerate environmental degradation.Based on these results,FD should be viewed as an important parameter in designing policies for innovation to achieve the goal of net-zero carbon emissions.Highlights.Technological innovation and environmental quality nexus is studied.The moderating role of financial development is analyzed.Six different environmental quality indicators are used for OECD countries.Financial development intensifies the environmental benefits of innovation.•The EKC hypothesis is confirmed for all six environmental indicators.展开更多

This study investigates whether and how customer firms’environmental,social and governance(ESG)performance impacts suppliers’green innovation quality using a sample of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2009 to 2...This study investigates whether and how customer firms’environmental,social and governance(ESG)performance impacts suppliers’green innovation quality using a sample of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2009 to 2022.We find that customers’ESG performance facilitates suppliers’green innovation quality through green learning and corporate competition.Additional tests indicate that customers with stickier customer-supplier relationships and a more central position in the supply chain network than peers enhance suppliers’green innovation quality.After categorizing whether customers engage in greenwashing,we determine that those adherence to green principles,genuinely promote suppliers’green innovation quality.Finally,we find the above effect ultimately enhances suppliers’environmental performance.This study provides valuable insights for supply chain companies into collaboratively achieving sustainable development.展开更多

The process parameters of relay production lines are studied based on the long-and-short-term memory network. Then, the Keras deep learning framework is utilized to build up a short-term relay quality prediction algorithm for the semi-finished product. A simulation model is used to study prediction algorithm. The simulation results show that the average prediction absolute error of the fraction is less than 5%. Aquaculture has long been a critical economic sector in Taiwan.Since a key factor in aquaculture production efficiency is water quality,an effective means of monitoring the dissolved oxygen content(DOC)of aquaculture ...Aquaculture has long been a critical economic sector in Taiwan.Since a key factor in aquaculture production efficiency is water quality,an effective means of monitoring the dissolved oxygen content(DOC)of aquaculture water is essential.This study developed an internet of things system for monitoring DOC by collecting essential data related to water quality.Artificial intelligence technology was used to construct a water quality prediction model for use in a complete system for managing water quality.Since aquaculture water quality depends on a continuous interaction among multiple factors,and the current state is correlated with the previous state,a model with time series is required.Therefore,this study used recurrent neural networks(RNNs)with sequential characteristics.Commonly used RNNs such as long short-term memory model and gated recurrent unit(GRU)model have a memory function that appropriately retains previous results for use in processing current results.To construct a suitable RNN model,this study used Taguchi method to optimize hyperparameters(including hidden layer neuron count,iteration count,batch size,learning rate,and dropout ratio).Additionally,optimization performance was also compared between 5-layer and 7-layer network architectures.The experimental results revealed that the 7-layer GRU was more suitable for the application considered in this study.The values obtained in tests of prediction performance were mean absolute percentage error of 3.7134%,root mean square error of 0.0638,and R-value of 0.9984.Therefore,thewater qualitymanagement system developed in this study can quickly provide practitioners with highly accurate data,which is essential for a timely response to water quality issues.This study was performed in collaboration with the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute and a local fishery company.Practical application of the system by the fishery company confirmed that the monitoring system is effective in improving the survival rate of farmed fish by providing data needed to maintain DOC higher than the standard value.展开更多

文摘This study investigates whether and how customer firms’environmental,social and governance(ESG)performance impacts suppliers’green innovation quality using a sample of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2009 to 2022.We find that customers’ESG performance facilitates suppliers’green innovation quality through green learning and corporate competition.Additional tests indicate that customers with stickier customer-supplier relationships and a more central position in the supply chain network than peers enhance suppliers’green innovation quality.After categorizing whether customers engage in greenwashing,we determine that those adherence to green principles,genuinely promote suppliers’green innovation quality.Finally,we find the above effect ultimately enhances suppliers’environmental performance.This study provides valuable insights for supply chain companies into collaboratively achieving sustainable development.

文摘The fraction defective of semi-finished products is predicted to optimize the process of relay production lines, by which production quality and productivity are increased, and the costs are decreased. The process parameters of relay production lines are studied based on the long-and-short-term memory network. Then, the Keras deep learning framework is utilized to build up a short-term relay quality prediction algorithm for the semi-finished product. A simulation model is used to study prediction algorithm. The simulation results show that the average prediction absolute error of the fraction is less than 5%. This work displays great application potential in the relay production lines.

文摘Quality traceability plays an essential role in assembling and welding offshore platform blocks.The improvement of the welding quality traceability system is conducive to improving the durability of the offshore platform and the process level of the offshore industry.Currently,qualitymanagement remains in the era of primary information,and there is a lack of effective tracking and recording of welding quality data.When welding defects are encountered,it is difficult to rapidly and accurately determine the root cause of the problem from various complexities and scattered quality data.In this paper,a composite welding quality traceability model for offshore platform block construction process is proposed,it contains the quality early-warning method based on long short-term memory and quality data backtracking query optimization algorithm.By fulfilling the training of the early-warning model and the implementation of the query optimization algorithm,the quality traceability model has the ability to assist enterprises in realizing the rapid identification and positioning of quality problems.Furthermore,the model and the quality traceability algorithm are checked by cases in actual working conditions.Verification analyses suggest that the proposed early-warningmodel for welding quality and the algorithmfor optimizing backtracking requests are effective and can be applied to the actual construction process.

文摘Aquaculture has long been a critical economic sector in Taiwan.Since a key factor in aquaculture production efficiency is water quality,an effective means of monitoring the dissolved oxygen content(DOC)of aquaculture water is essential.This study developed an internet of things system for monitoring DOC by collecting essential data related to water quality.Artificial intelligence technology was used to construct a water quality prediction model for use in a complete system for managing water quality.Since aquaculture water quality depends on a continuous interaction among multiple factors,and the current state is correlated with the previous state,a model with time series is required.Therefore,this study used recurrent neural networks(RNNs)with sequential characteristics.Commonly used RNNs such as long short-term memory model and gated recurrent unit(GRU)model have a memory function that appropriately retains previous results for use in processing current results.To construct a suitable RNN model,this study used Taguchi method to optimize hyperparameters(including hidden layer neuron count,iteration count,batch size,learning rate,and dropout ratio).Additionally,optimization performance was also compared between 5-layer and 7-layer network architectures.The experimental results revealed that the 7-layer GRU was more suitable for the application considered in this study.The values obtained in tests of prediction performance were mean absolute percentage error of 3.7134%,root mean square error of 0.0638,and R-value of 0.9984.Therefore,thewater qualitymanagement system developed in this study can quickly provide practitioners with highly accurate data,which is essential for a timely response to water quality issues.This study was performed in collaboration with the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute and a local fishery company.Practical application of the system by the fishery company confirmed that the monitoring system is effective in improving the survival rate of farmed fish by providing data needed to maintain DOC higher than the standard value.

In the duopoly structure,the company's investment in innovation is affected by the product differentiation,and the greater the difference,the greater the willingness to increase investment and improve quality; at the same time,low innovative cost companies will choose a higher level of investment in innovation and quality. If there is no difference between the products,the companies with high cost of innovation abandon quality competition,and the companies with low cost of innovation " monopolize" the market.
