Evaluation of Walking Suitability of Historical and Cultural Blocks: A Case Study of Shichahai in Beijing

This paper focuses on the Shichahai area of Beijing to assess the walking suitability of its coastal and surrounding streets.Shichahai area,covering an area of about 302 hm2,is an important historical and cultural protection zone in Beijing,with rich historical and cultural heritage and modern urban activities.This paper uses literature analysis,field research and Baidu Street View map data to construct an evaluation system of three first-level indicators,including space safety,walking comfort and landscape enrichment,and determines the weight of each indicator by expert scoring method.The street is evaluated and analyzed by means of statistical analysis.In order to improve the walking environment of Shichahai area,it is suggested to monitor and manage street hygiene,replant vegetation to improve the green coverage rate and landscape richness,and optimize the walking space design to ensure the safety and comfort of pedestrians.These measures aim to balance historical preservation with modern needs and promote the protection and development of historical and cultural districts.

Analysis of Landscape Vitality of Historical and Cultural Blocks Based on AHPFuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method:A Case Study of Daopashi Street in Anqing City

Historical and cultural blocks are witnesses of history and inheritors of culture. As one of the main spaces for outdoor interaction in historical and cultural blocks, the improvement of its vitality is of great significance for the improvement of residential environment and the better inheritance of history and culture. Taking Daopashi Street in Anqing City as an example, an evaluation model of landscape spatial vitality of historical and cultural blocks was constructed from three aspects of viewing function, store status and service facilities, and analytic hierarchy process was used to determine the index weight and vaguely evaluate the landscape spatial vitality of historical and cultural blocks. The results show that through the comparison of weight, architectural style(0.317), the practicability of service facilities(0.168) and plant landscape(0.165) had a significant impact on the landscape spatial vitality of historical and cultural blocks,and the landscape spatial vitality of historical and cultural blocks in Daopashi Street in Anqing City was at a good level.

Protective Renovation of the Historical Environment of Traffic Cultural Heritage:Necessity and Feasibility

Starting from the reality of protective renovation of the historical environment of traffic cultural heritage,this paper discusses its necessity from the role and value of protective renovation of historical environment on overall protection of traffic cultural heritage and contemporary value exploration.By analyzing the current research status of traffic history,protection theories and methods of historical environment,cultural routes,linear cultural landscape and heritage corridors and other theoretical methods,as well as the effectiveness of digital protection and other technical approaches,this paper demonstrates the theoretical basis and feasible technical approaches for protective renovation of the historical environment of traffic cultural heritage.Moreover,it is suggested to construct the historical environment evaluation system of traffic cultural heritage and form a systematic design process of protective renovation.

Tourism Development Mode of Historical and Cultural Blocks from the Perspective of Urban Renewal Based on Online Review Data:A Case Study of Nanluoguxiang in Beijing

Under the background of urban renewal, this paper re-explores the tourism development modeof Nanluoguxiang historical and cultural block based on online review data, and puts forward correspondingdevelopment strategies. As a cultural label of a city, historical and cultural blocks should be updated first inorder to achieve sustainable development. By using multi-source big data review and qualitative researchmethods, the perception evaluation of tourists in Nanluoguxiang is obtained, and the shortcomings ofcurrent tourism development mode are analyzed. Furthermore, corresponding improvement strategies andsuggestions are put forward, in order to provide some effective ideas for the sustainable development ofhistorical and cultural blocks in the future.

Research on the Public Perception of Yangzhou Historical and Cultural Districts Based on Network Review Text Analysis

The historical and cultural districts of a city serve as important cultural heritage and tourism resources.This paper focused on four such districts in Yangzhou and performed semantic analysis on online public comments using ROST CM6 software.According to the high frequency words,attention preference of district site elements,activities and feelings in Yangzhou historical and cultural districts were analyzed.Through the analysis of semantic network and public emotional tendency,the relationship between the protection and utilization of Yangzhou historical and cultural districts and the perception and demand of users were discussed,and some suggestions for the protection,utilization and renewal of historical and cultural districts were put forward.

This article analyzes the efficiency of the administration, as well as the way of financing the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova through the prism of the legal, institutional and cultural policy framework. Following the research, it was found that in the last 30 years the efficient and transparent management of the material cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova has not been ensured, which endangers the national cultural heritage. If the current management and financing model does not change significantly in the near future, there is a risk that the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova will reach an unrecoverable condition.

Conception and Implementation of Geographical Database for Cultural Heritage Management—Case of Historical Jeddah, KSA

Saudi Arabia is attempting to develop a long-term tourism business that respects Islamic ideals, heritage, and traditions. In accordance with the “Vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030”, significant emphasis has been placed on developing and promoting cultural tourism as a result of the Kingdom’s very valuable civilizational and cultural heritage, in addition to entertainment and improving the quality of life. The city of Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s second capital, and the district known as “Al-Balad”, which is located in the city’s core, is a historical neighborhood known for its old structures and multi-story houses. Since 1947, the historical monuments in the Al-Balad region have faced major and challenging issues as a result of neglect and a failure to maintain them. To protect this historical architectural heritage, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has designated Jeddah’s historic area as a World Heritage Site. The purpose of this research is to identify historical sites in the city of Al-Balad using existing maps, field surveys, and the design and creation of a spatial database that can be used with geographic information systems (GIS). By combining the results of the spatial database and photographic surveys with the history of Old Jeddah, an application was created and made available to users and those interested in the Internet that can be used through mobile devices (mobile phones and tablets) to introduce the historical area of Jeddah and promote tourism in Old Jeddah.
