“孙叔敖决期思之水而灌雩娄之野”刍议

QiSi Bank,which was built by Sun Shuao,is the first water conservancy project recorded in ancient Chinese historical literature.Most of historians believe that it was Sun who built QiSi Bank in order to irrigate YuLou Field.However,it is controversial that where QiSi Bank is and how YuLou Field was irrigated.After field work and a consultancy of historical literature being done,a conclusion can be drawn on these controversial issues--QiSi Bank lies downriver of Shihe River and QiSi Bank and YuLou Field are two different water conservancy projects.
