In recent years,with the cessation of defense relations,Israel and China have sought to expand their diplomatic and economic relations,mainly in the field of industrial research and development,large-scale academic cooperation,and investment.The expansion of cooperation between the two countries is mainly due to the status of Israel as a start-up country,which can satisfy China’s technological needs and help it modernise many of its industries.Beijing also sees Israel as a strategic outpost in its regional interests-a small but vital stopover under the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI),connecting the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea through the Gulf of Suez,as a land bridge connecting trade and energy routes from the Far East through Africa to the Middle East and further to Europe on profitable trade routes by land and sea.The construction of a railway line from Eilat to Ashdod connecting the Red and Mediterranean Seas,as well as the construction of a new port in Ashdod,will provide a safe alternative route to the Suez Canal.Israel’s well-secured human capital,a developed economy,a high-tech foundation,a stable public and state business environment have further enhanced the country’s attractiveness as a key element of BRI. 展开更多

This paper provides an overview of China's burgeoning relationship with Central, Eastand Southeast Europe (CESEE) in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).China has rapidly expanded the extent of its interactions with CESEE since 2012,and this region has subsequently become one of the focal points of the BRI. The keyfeature of China's engagement with CESEE is the devising of an experimental andinnovative approach, demonstrated in the establishment of an institutional mechanismfor cooperation with a particular group of16 CESEE countries (16+1). The case ofChina-CESEE relations offers an insight into how, in the era of the BRL China iscomplementing its economic approach with institution-building and policy coordination.The article concludes that as the BRI progresses, these tendencies will remain central toChina's relations with CESEE. 展开更多

Based on the theories and methods of complex network,crude oil trade flows between countries along the Belt and Road(B&R,hereafter)are inserted into the Geo-space of B&R and form a spatial interaction network which takes the countries as nodes and takes the trade relations as edges.The networked mining and evolution analysis can provide important references for the research on trade relations among the B&R countries and the formulation of trade policy.This paper researches and discusses the construction,statistical analysis,top networks and stability of the crude oil trade network between the B&R countries from 2001 to 2020 from the perspectives of Geo-Computation for Social Sciences(GCSS)and spatial interaction.Firstly,evolutions of out-degree,in-degree,out-strength and in-strength of the top 10 countries in the crude oil trade network are computed and analyzed.Secondly,the top network method is used to explore the evolution characteristics of hierarchical structures.And finally,the sequential evolution characteristics of the crude oil trade network stability are analyzed utilizing the network stability measure method based on the trade relationship autocorrelation function.The analysis results show that Russia has the largest out-degree and out-strength,and China has the largest in-degree and in-strength.The crude oil trade volume of the top 10 import and export networks between 2001—2020 accounts for over 90%of the total trade volume of the crude oil trade network,and the proportion remains relatively stable.However,the stability of the network showed strong fluctuations in 2009,2012 and 2014,which may be closely related to major international events in these years,which could furtherly be used to build a correlation model between network volatility and major events.This paper explores how to construct and analyze the spatial interaction network of crude oil trade and can provide references for trade relations research and trade policy formulation of B&R countries. 展开更多

The deepening and expanding economic and trade relations between China and Singapore enhance political mutual trust, propelling China's economic and industrial upgrading. East Asia and China relied on the export-oriented strategy to have achieved industrialization. However, in the next period, the growth rate of international trade will be significantly lower than that of GDP. Coupled with the de-globalization trend in developed countries, the global development needs new ideas. China and countries along the Belt and Road can promote industrialization centering on infrastructure construction, with the manufacturing industry as the core and developing countries cooperation as the main content to promote new-type globalization. China has leading manufacturing and trade capacity of the world, and strategically advocates principles of extensive consultation, shared benefits and joint contribution, therefore, the Belt and Road Initiative has a profound driving power. It is expected by 2030, 2.4 billion people with low-income along the Belt and Road will be transformed into high-income population, and then China would have a population of 1.4 billion with high income. 展开更多

“三海倡议”是欧盟内的一个年轻的次区域组织,聚焦波罗的海、黑海和亚得里亚海沿岸国家的能源、交通和通信网络等基础设施建设,旨在加强欧盟东部国家之间的凝聚力。在“一带一路”倡议提出的十余年间,中国积极在实践层面与欧盟开展基... “三海倡议”是欧盟内的一个年轻的次区域组织,聚焦波罗的海、黑海和亚得里亚海沿岸国家的能源、交通和通信网络等基础设施建设,旨在加强欧盟东部国家之间的凝聚力。在“一带一路”倡议提出的十余年间,中国积极在实践层面与欧盟开展基础设施、贸易投资、人文交流等领域的合作,并且取得了显著成果。“三海倡议”连接欧洲设施的目标与“一带一路”倡议深化互联互通的理念不谋而合,“三海”国家的地缘优势也决定了与“三海倡议”对接将赋予中欧共建“一带一路”新的合作空间。然而,中东欧地区复杂的政治环境导致“三海”国家对华认知存在差异,且美国有意将“三海倡议”塑造成打压中国的新平台以及欧盟内部对“一带一路”的矛盾心态,这对“一带一路”与“三海倡议”对接合作构成现实挑战。对此,中方应坚持去地缘政治化,寻找合适契机与“三海倡议”开展精准、务实合作,推动“一带一路”倡议和人类命运共同体理念在欧洲行稳致远。 展开更多

贸易发展是共建“一带一路”的题中之义,也是推动各国经济持续发展的重要力量。基于2010一2018年全球双边产品贸易数据,利用社会网络分析方法讨论了“一带一路”倡议共建国贸易网络演变特征。研究发现:(1)共建国贸易网络呈均衡化发展趋... 贸易发展是共建“一带一路”的题中之义,也是推动各国经济持续发展的重要力量。基于2010一2018年全球双边产品贸易数据,利用社会网络分析方法讨论了“一带一路”倡议共建国贸易网络演变特征。研究发现:(1)共建国贸易网络呈均衡化发展趋势,且中低收入国家贸易关系改变显著。(2)各国通达程度提升明显,贸易合作伙伴搜寻潜力较强。(3)贸易网络中存在两个重要板块,一个是贸易结构较为复杂的“中心”板块,一个是扮演中间纽带的“经纪”板块,此外,2014年以来,边缘节点逐渐由“外围”板块转移至“经纪”板块。研究表明,“一带一路”倡议为世界各国特别是广大发展中国家提供了新的发展机遇。 展开更多
