Hypermutation motifs were then indicated in the majority of the corresponding non-IgV nucleotide sequences. According to database confirmations or double prediction of phosphorylation sites, 80% of the selected human and mouse IgV-related phosphorylation sites or their highly probable candidates exhibited substrate relationship to ataxia-telangiectasia-mutated kinase known as ATM. In accordance with literature data, inactivation of ATM by mutations can participate in the mechanisms of carcinogenesis, neurodegeneration and possibly also in aging. In agreement with this relationship, some of the selected IgV-/ATM-related segments formed molecules specifically involved in carcinogenesis. The selected IgV-related sequence segments were also similar to certain segments of higher plants containing immunoglobulin-like repeats and related regions. Bioinformatic analysis of some selected plant sequences then indicated the presence of catalytic domains composing serine/threonine/tyrosine receptor/receptor-like kinases, which are considered important structures for evolution of very early and part of later Ig-domain-related immunity. The analyzed conserved domain similarities also suggested certain interesting structural and phylogenic relationships, which need to be further investigated. This review in fact briefly summarizes the findings on the subject from the last twenty years.展开更多

We compared site response from the S-wave inversion and those from other techniques, such as traditional direct spectral ratios of S waves and receiver-function of S waves. From the inversion, we found that S-wave quality factor, i.e. Qs-value, is approximately satisfied with the relation of Qs=67f1.1 in the range of frequency from 0.5 Hz to 32 Hz and that the source spectra follow the ω-2 model of seismic source for low frequencies less than about 12 Hz. From the comparison of site responses estimated by the different methods for each soil site, we found that all the methods can extract the same predominant peaks from the responses, the amplifications from direct S-wave spectral ratios are well correlated with those from the S-wave inversion within a factor of 2 to 3, while the correlation between the amplifications from S-wave receiver-function and those from the S-wave inversion is not good, especially for high frequencies more than 8 Hz.展开更多

By analysis of spectra ratio, the local events (with epicentral distances between 8.5 km and 95 km, magnitudes ML = 1.3-5.1) recorded are used to calculate site magnification factor at different depths (-100 m and surface) in Dongchuan. Comparing results with that at the depth of -200 m, the site magnification factors at three components of N-S, E-W and U-D corresponding to the depth of -100 m at 8 frequencies (f = 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12 Hz) are 1.0-1.49 when 0.75 Hz- [less-than or equal to] f [less-than or equal to] 2 Hz and 0.47-0.99 when 2 Hz less than or equal f less than or equal 12 Hz. On the surface, site magnification factors at three components are all greater than 1, i.e. between 1.6 and 7.63. The correlation coefficients of site magnification factors for S wave and coda at the depth of -100 m and on surface are 0.82 and 0.81 when 0.75 Hz [less-than or equal to] f [less-than or equal to] 2 Hz, 0.47 and 0.45 when 2 Hz less than or equal f less than or equal 12 Hz, respectively.展开更多

The parameters obtained by this method exclude the topographic effect of seismic stations, and truly reflect the seismic effect of free soft rock sites and the S wave inelastic attenuation in the studied region. The average soft rock site effect is about 1.5 times in the frequency domain of 2-4 Hz and the S wave quality factor is obtained as Qs=278f0.346, which can be directly applied to the stochastic modeling of ground motions in the studied region.展开更多

It is a natural constituent of crude oil and the diseases related to its exposure are recognized as occupational diseases. <strong>Objective:</strong> To assess occupational exposure of benzene to workers in an oil and gas production company. <strong>Materials and Methods:</strong> Firstly, it was a descriptive, cross-sectional study which consisted of benzene atmospheric quantification in a sample individual measurement of a homogeneous exposure group of workers. Secondly, urinary assays of S-phenylmercapturic acid have been performed at the end of the shift in the selected workers.<strong> Results:</strong> The study has included 79 (47.88%) workers, 17 atmospheric samples were usable and 79 urinary assays at the end of the shift were performed. The average benzene concentration for all sites was 10 times lower than the regulatory average exposure value (1 ppm = 3.2 mg/m3): average: 0.122 pp, median: 0.053 ppm and range: 0.019 - 1.448 ppm. All 79 urinary assays of S-phenylmercapturic acid with a biological exposure index of less than 25 μg/g creatinine: mean: 0.70 μg/g creatinine, median: 0.52 μg/g creatinine and extends: 0.23 to 6.7 μg/g creatinine. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> Exposure was below to the limit value for benzene in both atmospheric metrology and biometrology. Therefore it is an occupational group with low exposure to benzene. Thus, the medical supervision will be adapted according to the potentially exposing tasks.展开更多
