A high peak power IPL system (Lumecca) was tested to determine the correlation between a high peak power and the successful treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions. Short pulse duration in the millisecond range and high peak power of 3.3 kW/cm2 enabled selective and effective destruction, not only of pigment, but also of vessels in a comparable manner to a pulsed dye laser. Only one treatment session at a low fluence (8 - 16 J/cm2) was sufficient to achieve the desired results. 展开更多

According to modern theories, the process of skin ageing may be connected with local up-regulation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) and down-regulation of heat shock proteins (HSP) in the skin. In this pragmatic, non-randomised, multicentre study we investigated the skin rejuvenation effect of dual-frequency ultrasound, with frequencies of 3 and 10 MHz, which has the ability to modulate both MMPs and HSPs. It was shown that such waves can significantly improve different visual appearances of ageing skin. This safe, non-invasive method yields results that are not as marked as those shown by injecting of fillers, but can be successfully used by subjects with a broad spectrum of visual skin ageing problems, which have to be treated simultaneously. 展开更多

These dysfunctions could be decelerated by the preventive effects of some skin treatments such as Intradermal injections. NCTF 135HA has a polycomponent formulation designed to improve the efficacy of non-cross linked hyaluronic acid (as a micro-filler) on fibroblasts function. Although NCTF 135HA has been used by aesthetic practitioners since 20 years, we have analyzed all in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies during past 10 years in order to summarized its anti-aging effect. Methods: In these series of studies, the known effects of HA have been evaluated with this boosted formula. Collagen I synthesis, antiglycation effect and contractile forces developed by fibroblasts were studied. Fibroblasts and keratinocytes proliferations were evaluated in monolayer cells culture. The filling effect thanks to NCTF 135HA injection was ex vivo performed by fringe projection and the protective effect of NCTF 135HA against solar irradiation was performed ex vivo to study proliferation rate, elastin and collagen expression. Two clinical trials were performed on women to evaluate the anti-aging effect of NCTF 135HA injection. Hydration, firmness, radiance, wrinkles size, pore size, thickness and density of the dermis were analyzed. Results: Collagen I, anti-AGE products, cell proliferation and contractile forces were significantly increased with NCTF 135HA in culture medium. Ex vivo studies showed that NCTF 135HA increased, cells proliferation rate, elastin and collagen production. In addition, the filling effect of the NCTF 135HA is significantly superior to placebo. The first clinical trial shows that NCTF 135HA injection significantly increased tonicity, hydration and radiance of the skin and significantly decreased wrinkle score. The second clinical trial demonstrated that NCTF 135HA injection significantly increased dermis density and thickness, skin homogeneity and skin radiance and significantly decreased pore size and wrinkle depth and volume. Conclusion: In vitro, ex vivo and in vivo studies showed that this minimally invasive technique could be used in order to improve the skin quality which could have a visual effect on preventing the aging signs. 展开更多

The light penetrates into the skin and is selectively absorbed by lesion chromophore. Absorbed energy is converted into heat, coagulating the lesion, which naturally fades following the treatment. The current article presents a retrospective efficacy evaluation of an IPL device with high peak power. Methods: Representative treatment results were collected from several clinics based on photographs taken at baseline and after treatments. Photos were evaluated and analyzed for aesthetic improvement of the various skin conditions in different facial and body areas. Results: Analysis included cases of pigmented and vascular lesions, textural lesions, and more specific conditions such as melasma and rosacea. The two evaluators’ scoring demonstrated improvement in all cases according to the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) scale. Conclusion: The vast experience gathered from the market in treating various skin lesions supports the safety and efficacy of the investigated IPL device. The device’s particular specifications contribute to the successful results and ease of treatment for the practitioner and the patient. 展开更多

Platelet-rich fibrin(PRF)is a second-generation platelet concentrate obtained from autologous blood.PRF is composed of abundant platelets, leucocytes, and a high concentration of various growth factors and fibrinogen. The composition and three-dimensional structure of PRF enable it to effectively make cells migrate and proliferate, playing an important role in tissue repair.Furthermore, the easy preparation and low cost of PRF make it a good treatment option.Numerous articles have been published about the application of PRF in clinical practice, however, the application of PRF in dermatology has not been comprehensively reviewed. The objective of this review article was to discuss various applications of PRF in dermatology, including healing chronic wounds, treating androgenic alopecia, skin rejuvenation, autologous fat transplantation, and treating vitiligo.PRF is a promising dermatologic treatment, but lacks a standardized protocol regarding its methods of attainment and use, which needs more investigations. 展开更多

Aim:Cryopreservation of fat is an effective method for repeat fat grafting, but there are few reports about the clinical use of cryopreserved fat.The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness and safety of cryopreserved fat for clinical use. Methods:Between Aug 2015 and Dec 2018,we investigated 590 patients who underwent fat harvesting at our clinic. The harvested fat was cryopreserved at a temperature of-196°C at a cell processing center and injections were performed in our clinic. Results:Of the 590 patients studied,216(312 cases)have undergone fat injections so far.Volume augmentations using harvested fat, such as facial and breast augmentations, were performed on 180 patients. For 84 patients, harvested fat was utilized only for revitalization/fertilization purposes, such as to improve skin condition. There were no severe complications in any patients. However, volume maintenance was rarely observed.Skin rejuvenation effects were comparable to that in cases using fresh fat. Conclusion:The clinical use of cryopreserved fat is thought to be safe and effective. 展开更多
