In the last decades the voltage regulation has been challenged by the increase of power variability in the electric grid,due to the spread of non-dispatchable generation sources.This paper introduces a Smart Transform...In the last decades the voltage regulation has been challenged by the increase of power variability in the electric grid,due to the spread of non-dispatchable generation sources.This paper introduces a Smart Transformer(ST)-based Medium Voltage(MV)grid support by means of active power control in the ST-fed Low Voltage(LV)grid.The aim of the proposed strategy is to improve the voltage profile in MV grids before the operation of On-Load Tap Changer in the primary substation transformer,which needs tens of seconds.This is realized through reactive power injection by the AC/DC MV converter and simultaneous decrease of the active power consumption of voltage-dependent loads in ST-fed LV grid,controlling the ST output voltage.The last feature has two main effects:the first is to reduce the active power withdrawn from MV grid,and consequently the MV voltage drop caused by the active current component.At the same time,higher reactive power injection capability in the MV converter is unlocked,due to the lower active power demand.As result,the ST increases the voltage support in MV grid.The analysis and simulation results carried out in this paper show improvements compared to similar solutions,i.e.the only reactive power compensation.The impact of the proposed solution has been finally evaluated under different voltage-dependence of the loads in the LV grid.展开更多

The presence of renewable energy resources in LV distribution networks may lead to a distribution transformer,also known as a Smart Transformer(ST),experiencing the bidirectional power flow.Therefore,the ST must have ...The presence of renewable energy resources in LV distribution networks may lead to a distribution transformer,also known as a Smart Transformer(ST),experiencing the bidirectional power flow.Therefore,the ST must have the capability to operate in both directions.However,the reverse power is less as compared to the forward power,thus the design of ST with the same capacity in both directions increases the hardware cost and decreases the system efficiency.This paper proposes a Hybrid-modular-ST(H-ST),composed of a mixed use of single active bridge-based series resonant converter and dual active bridge instead of complete use of uni-or bi-directional converter adopted in the conventional solid-state-transformer.Based on the proposed H-ST,the impacts of power imbalance among cascaded modules in reverse operation mode are analyzed and then an effective solution based on reactive power compensation combined with the characteristics of the proposed architecture is adopted.The simulation and experimental results clearly validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the theoretical analyses.展开更多
Intelligent transformation of manufacturers requires smart logistics transformation collaboration,which improves competitiveness.In this study,we construct a Stackelberg game model based on the mutual influence and re...Intelligent transformation of manufacturers requires smart logistics transformation collaboration,which improves competitiveness.In this study,we construct a Stackelberg game model based on the mutual influence and restriction in the relationship between a manufacturer and a logistics service provider(LSP)undergoing smart logistics transformation.We investigate whether cost-sharing(CS)or revenue-sharing(RS)contracts can coordinate the supply chain and suggest a hybrid CSeRS contract to improve performance.We find that,compared with decentralized options,CS and RS contracts achieve a higher level of smart logistics transformation.While the coordination and effectiveness of CS contracts are superior to those of RS contracts,neither can fully coordinate the supply chain.The proposed hybrid CSeRS contract allows the manufacturer to share the LSP’s costs before the transformation and its partial revenue after transformation,so that the LSP can reduce its service charge,thereby achieving full supply chain coordination.展开更多
