A Trust Evaluation Model for Social Commerce Based on BP Neural Network

Recent years we have witnessed the rapid growth of social commerce in China, but many users are not willing to trust and use social commerce. So improving consumers’ trust and purchase intention has become a crucial factor in the success of social commerce. Business factors, environment factors and social factors including twelve secondary indexes build up a social commerce trust evaluation model. Questionnaires are handed out to collect twelve secondary indexes scores as input of BP neural network and composite score of trust as output. Model simulation shows that both training samples and test samples have low level of average error and standard deviation, which certify that the model has good stability and it is a good method for evaluating social commerce trust. 展开更多

Electronic commerce is quickly increasing in several countries, most notably in developing countries. A new electronic-commerce segment known as social commerce has evolved due to the popularity of social media. Consumer trust is important to social commerce success and impacts purchase choices. In modern times, majority of businesses have changed how from the traditional businesses and migrated to social commerce. Electronic commerce was the first of its sort, followed by social commerce, which conducted business via social networking platforms. Identifying the factors that influence social commerce use enables businesses to enhance those features and boost revenue. Thus, the purpose of this study was to examine how increased technology usage influences the social commerce activities of Ghanaian businessmen and women. A review of the literature resulted in the development of a conceptual model. Six hundred and twenty-five responses from Ghanaian enterprises and women who use e-commerce platforms were used to assess the conceptual approach. Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS SEM) was used to validate the model. The reliability and validity of the measuring apparatus were determined using measurement model analysis. To examine the model’s fit and assumptions, we used structural model analysis. Five hypotheses were supported by the structural model data. Effort Expectancy, Perceived Ease of Use, Performance Expectancy, Perceived Utility, and Trust were shown to be the most influential criteria affecting behavioral intention to use s-commerce in Ghana. The findings of this research have major significance for academics and practitioners of social trade. 展开更多

The optimal sharin... In order to make strategic decision on firms’ sharing reward program( SRP), a nested Stackelberg game is developed. The sharing behavior among users and the rewarding strategy of firms are modeled. The optimal sharing bonus is worked out and the impact of social relationships among customers is discussed. The results show that the higher the bonus,the more efforts the inductor is willing to make to persuade the inductee into buying. In addition,the firms should take the social relationship into consideration when setting the optimal sharing bonus. If the social relationship is weak,there is no need to adopt the SRP. Otherwise,there are two ways to reward the inductors. Also,the stronger the social relationship,the fewer the sharing bonuses that should be offered to the inductors,and the higher the expected profits. As a result,it is reasonable for the firms to implement SRPs on the social media where users are familiar with each other. 展开更多

An optimization model is proposed to analyze the optimal review revelation policies and consumer online social network management strategies of e-commerce firms.The results show that displaying friend reviews to consumers does not necessarily increase firms profits.Only when positive reviews account for a large proportion of all the reviews and when the cost of showing friend reviews is not high,can showing friend reviews be more profitable than not showing such information.The distribution of social ties among consumers can affect firms profits.Even in the case that showing friend reviews to consumers is more profitable,an increase in the proportion of strong ties is not necessarily beneficial to firms.Only when the proportion of positive reviews is large enough,can firms profits increase with the increase in the proportion of strong ties among consumers.Moreover,the degree of consumer distrust in the average quality rating can also affect firms strategies for managing consumer online social networks.As the degree of consumer distrust in the average quality rating rises,firms are more likely to obtain higher profits by taking measures to increase the proportion of strong ties among consumers on their websites. 展开更多

This study investigates the mediating role of brand app trust in the relationship between brand app antecedents and purchase intentions via a brand mobile app.It explores the mediating potential of brand and platform trust in this relationship between antecedents and purchase intentions and also highlights which brand antecedents are useful for directly or indirectly establishing trust towards purchasing via a mobile app in the Iranian mobile commerce market.This study uses survey data collected through an online questionnaire form and applies the partial least squares method to extract its findings.All of the estimation results are found to be unbiased and robust.The results show that brand app trust plays a mediating role in the relationship between the brand app antecedents of word-of-mouth recommendation,subjective norms,perceived image(social antecedents),mobile computing self-efficacy(consumer-based antecedent),and perceived ease of use(system antecedent)and purchase intentions via a brand mobile app in Iran. 展开更多
