Exploring“Enabling Behaviours”of Wives of Persons with Substance Use Disorder in Chapter 8 of the Big Book of Alcoholic Anonymous

Substance use disorder has a damaging effect on the family members of alcoholics and drug users.On the other hand,the reactions and behaviours of family members may negatively influence a person with substance use disorder.The behaviours of significant others of a person with substance use disorder that contribute to the maintenance of substance use disorder are called enabling.This study aimed to explore enabling behaviours of wives of persons with substance use disorder in Chapter 8 of Alcoholic Anonymous’Big Book by utilising qualitative content analysis.Alcoholics Anonymous(AA)is one of the most commonly used programs for recovery from alcoholism.The current study sought to help mental health professionals get a better understanding of the views and premises of the AA program in reference to enabling behaviours of wives by conducting a qualitative content analysis of the AA Big Book.The study also discusses the healthy behaviours suggested by the authors of the Big Book and the comprehensiveness of the text for the readers.

传统女性的身份规范及其现实可能——吕坤女性观探析

吕坤女性观的建构依托于其对女性身份的规范,即如何扮演好女性一生中女儿、妇人、母亲三类重要角色。就“为女之道”而言,吕坤强调对未嫁女“四德”的训诫,同时关注到了未嫁女在孝道的践行上可能面临的伦理困境;就“为妇之道”而言,吕坤强调以“礼”为规范的道义之爱,并塑造了多元的女性品质;就“为母之道”而言,吕坤认为母道之根基在于仁义与廉正,并强调“母不取其慈而取其教”。吕坤依据身份的书写对女性进行了规范与约束,同时也从道义、人情的角度给予了女性一定的空间,把女性之为“人”的类别属性置于其性别属性之前,从而让女性在特定的情境中有溢出身份规范的可能。

Unsecured Life: The Experience of the Veteran Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Wives

Introduction: Disputativeness and incitement are one of the consequences of the posttraumatic stress disorder which causes intimacy reduction in veteran wives. This study was done with the aim of expressing the veteran posttraumatic stress disorder wives. Method: This qualitative study was done by qualitative content analysis method and 14 participants took part in this study who were all PTSD veteran wives in Golestan province in Iran. Data was gathered by semi-structured interview and by purposive sampling and was continued to the data well saturated. Data analysis was continuously done at the same time as collecting the data. Findings: The main theme and the eleven subtheme included: 1) Entanglement with wife condition: Not willing to have medicine treatment, frequent hospitalized, increasing the problems as the age goes up medicine, dependency on taking medicine, unpredictable wife behavior;2) life erosion: Living along with fear, lost life;3) stressful atmosphere in the house: Physical fight, unsecured feeling in the house, sensitive to noise;4) being worry about future: Hopelessness, spoiled life. These were the main points of this study which cause the unsecured atmosphere for the families. Conclusion: Veteran in ability in controlling their anger causes emotional problems, intimacy decreasing and marriage dissatisfaction, anxiousness and being worry about future. Social and family supports such as consulting services, informative and educational systems have an important role in wives compatibility and life promotion.

Urban Social Mobility Plight of City Wives from Countryside

Through field investigation,this paper discusses the social mobility of city wives from countryside and analyses the causes of the upward social mobility plight of this group in urban society.The author believes that city wives from countryside cannot continue to move upward in urban society because of their lack of culture capital and social capital.To break such plight of upward mobility for the group demands the system renovation.

The Rise of Women’s Education and the Modernity of East Asia:Focusing on the Education of“Virtuous Wives and Worthy Mothers”in China and Japan

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan.Looking back on the past and forward to the future,we realize modernity has become a critical issue that not only China and Japan,but the whole East Asian region should pay attention to.China and Japan are both within the“Circle of Confucius Culture”and are both modern latecomer countries.As they were coerced by western countries to enter the modern age,they shared multiple common features.An exploration of the two countries’respective rising of modern women’s education is an important path to discuss the reconstruction of gender and an important method of the course of the embodiment of east-Asian women into modernization drives.With regards to conclusion,entering the modern age,Chinese and Japanese intellectuals reshaped the female gender in terms of interpersonal relationship,value system,and knowledge structure by advocating the idea of“virtuous wives and worthy mothers”education.In the concept of virtuous wives and worthy mothers in East Asia,the Confucian ethics of“docility and virtue”is the soul,and modern scientific knowledge serves this core value.On the other hand,in the course of localization in China and Japan,this imported concept from the West has encountered a completely different historical fate.

Psychological Health of Wives’of Patients with Chronic Illnesses

Objectives:Chronic illnesses are more prevalent in males.The expectations of caregiving,thus falls on the women.Role expectations from women,increases stress,strain and the possibility of Psychological health concerns.In this paper,we explore the psychological health,as well as the levels of marital and sexual satisfaction of women caregivers.Method:The sample consisted of 35 women,whose husbands were diagnosed with,and undergoing treatment for a chronic illness(Coronary Heart Disease(CHD);Diabetes;or Cancer).Three standardized questionnaires,the Index of Marital Satisfaction(IMS),Index of Sexual Satisfaction(ISS)and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21(DASS 21)were used.Results:Correlational and predictive analysis were conducted on the data.Clinically significant marital and sexual dissatisfaction were found.Wives’also reported moderate levels of depression and anxiety,but severe levels of stress.Depression and Sexual satisfaction were found to be significant predictors of marital satisfaction.Discussion:Women caregiver are impacted by the illness status of their spouse.The additional stress of caregiving,along with societally ascribed roles and responsibilities on women creates a more difficult,stressful environment,which affects psychological health and well-being.

同直婚姻的法社会学研究——基于妇女权益保护的角度

中国社会对同性恋者包容度至今仍然较低,基于生育或掩盖真实性取向的考虑,不少同性恋者尤其是男同性恋者选择同直婚姻,建立一个表面看来正常的异性婚姻家庭。同直婚姻衍生一类弱势社会群体——同妻和同夫,相较同夫和同性恋丈夫,同妻境遇更为悲惨。当下解决同妻问题存在诸多障碍,在我国解决同妻问题可以通过三种路径:观念变革与社会支持、个人预防和自我调适、制度完善与制度保障,其中法制既是同妻权益保护的一个面向,也是同妻问题解决机制运行的制度保障。

全景敞视视域下女性的生存悲剧演绎——以《妻妾成群》《红粉》为例

在苏童小说中,女性的生存哲思是缠绕在叙事话语中的一条重要纽带。作者擅长从具体的场域探询女性生存的种种悖谬性,显示出全景敞视建筑下女性生存之“困”。这种情境下,权利、身体、自我交织成生存之网,拂缀出女性在规训下的凝视重压、“他者”的欲望掌控和自身的攀缠依附下的生存困窘,以及命运陨落的悲剧,揭示出微观权力规制下女性的生存之痛。小说在对女性生存悲剧的举证和探询中,不仅传递出创作主体对女性生命价值的人道主义之同情,也为读者解读苏童小说开拓了新的学术视域。

广东本地粤语情景喜剧中较为成功的作品《外来媳妇本地郎》,其“幽默性”文本呈现的幽默方式是值得重温与借鉴的。该剧在长达二十一年播出时间内,形成了情景喜剧类型的双重特点。其三种幽默方式依次表现为“特型化人物塑造”“布局式情节设定”与“场域性文化习俗呈现”,即在人物塑造、情节叙事及文化提升的递进意义上形成了粤语情景喜剧独特的美学风格。

唐代军人家属配偶问题初探

唐代前期府兵制时代,原则上军人家属配偶留在原籍,不随军迁移。玄宗之后,依诏军人家属配偶亦可随军,但会面临某些问题。无论是否随军,军人犯法家属配偶连坐,军人战死则朝廷抚恤其家属配偶。以军人身份为纽带,唐代军人家属配偶的生活境况与军人的生活境况紧紧联系在一起。军人离世后,其妻子受周边社会影响,或寡居或选择再嫁。以上情况皆与唐代社会环境有着密不可分的关系。

河南农村留守妇女状况调查研究

本文利用我们在河南农村的调查数据对留守妇女的状况进行了研究。结果表明,人口流动改变了农村留守妇女的家庭地位。由于丈夫的外出,留守妻子承担了更多的家庭责任和义务,还要想办法对付各种困难。

我国留守妻子状况研究

2016年3月5日,国务院总理李克强在政府工作报告中强调要加强对农村留守群体的关爱服务。有效落实对留守群体的关爱服务,基本条件是准确把握其基础信息。然而,留守妻子最基本的信息却几近空白,成为关爱服务这一群体的瓶颈。本文综合利用2000年人口普查抽样数据、2005年全国1%人口抽样调查数据和2010年全国妇女地位调查等数据分析当前我国留守妻子的基本状况。结果表明,2010年我国留守妻子规模3 600万。留守妻子地区分布呈分散化趋势;年龄有高龄化趋势;教育和经济状况仍不容乐观、身心健康状况堪忧。

论“同妻”群体的生存困境与权利保障

当人们开始关注同性恋者的权利时,另一个与同性恋者紧密相关的群体也开始呈现在人们的视野中——"同妻"(男同性恋的妻子)。同妻不仅面临着配偶权和健康权被损害的现实,而且还面临着立法空白和司法救济的缺失。保障同妻的权利,首先应该是完善立法和司法救济;其次是呼吁更多的社会力量对这一群体提供帮助和支持;当然,解决同妻问题最为根本的措施在于推动社会对同性恋者的宽容,尊重同性恋者的婚姻自主权。从这个意义上讲,"同妻"的维权之路漫长而艰难。

剧变中的我国留守妻子及其学术与公共政策含义

针对被广泛使用的"留守妇女"概念的歧义,文章首先提出了"留守妻子"概念。2000年以来全国人口普查和1%人口抽样调查资料揭示,我国留守妻子在进入21世纪后发生了一系列重大变化:其规模由剧增到快速减少,农村留守妻子的规模减少更早更快,留守妻子的来源地构成正在经历快速城镇化,留守妻子的居住方式类型构成正在快速直系化等。这些变化有着重要的学术研究和公共政策含义。

我国农村留守妻子的分布与生存发展现状——基于2015年1%人口抽样调查数据的分析

农村留守妻子是新农村建设的重要力量,也是农村留守家庭农业生产和生活中的核心劳动力,扮演着非常重要的角色。但当前她们在婚姻家庭、生产生活负担、自身的保障和发展等方面都面临一些困境和挑战,急需社会关注。基于此,本文分析了2015年我国留守妻子在规模、分布和社会经济特征上呈现的新特点;突出家庭的视角,通过留守家庭的居住安排和同住老人、子女的状况进一步剖析留守妻子在工作生活等方面面临的问题和困境。提出当前亟需开展全国留守妻子专项调查、增强留守妻子及其家庭的发展和建设能力、依托精准扶贫优先解决其生产和生活中突出困难、实现留守妻子及家庭帮扶常态化、体系化、制度化。

我国同妻生活质量研究综述

同妻作为男同性恋丈夫的衍生群体,其生活质量相关问题的研究和解决是现代多元化社会文明及和谐的体现。对我国同妻生活质量的有关研究加以梳理,研究发现:生理上,同妻面临着感染性病和艾滋病的风险;心理上,由于经历着无爱、少性的婚姻生活的煎熬,相当一部分人还遭受着家庭暴力,因而同妻抑郁、自杀等心理问题严重;社会层面,同妻的家庭功能残缺,且缺乏社会支持和法律支持。既有研究多基于现象描述,尚缺少实证分析。为进一步推进同妻生活质量的相关研究,应避免将同妻看作单一同质群体,可结合其婚姻与生育状况、经济独立等维度进行典型性探究,并揭示同妻亚群体生活质量的动态演变。

缅甸籍跨境媳妇HIV感染现状调查研究

[目的]了解云南省龙陵县缅甸籍跨境媳妇及其中国籍配偶艾滋病病毒(HIV)感染状况及其影响因素,为制定有针对性的防治措施提供依据。[方法]2011年对龙陵县缅甸籍跨境媳妇进行横断面调查并采集静脉血进行HIV、梅毒检测。[结果]共采集缅甸籍跨境媳妇血样845人,HIV感染率为0.7%;采集中国籍丈夫血样664人,HIV感染率为0.6%。单因素分析表明,原籍婚姻状况是缅籍跨境媳妇HIV感染的主要影响因素。[结论]需加强对跨境媳妇的监测,倡导该人群进行婚前艾滋病自愿咨询检测,有效阻止HIV在配偶间的传播和母婴传播。
