Microwave transmission in a space network is greatly restricted due to precious radio spectrum resources. To meet the demand for large-bandwidth, global seamless coverage and on-demanding access, the Space All-Optical Network(SAON) becomes a promising paradigm. In this paper, the related space optical communications and network programs around the world are first briefly introduced. Then the intelligent Space All-Optical Network(i-SAON), which can be deemed as an advanced SAON, is illustrated, with the emphasis on its features of high survivability, sensing and reconfiguration intelligence, and large capacity for all optical load and switching. Moreover, some key technologies for i-SAON are described, including the rapid adjustment and control of the laser beam direction, the deep learning-based multi-path anti-fault routing, the intelligent multi-fault diagnosis and switching selection mechanism, and the artificial intelligence-based spectrum sensing and situational forecasting. 展开更多

This paper studies the coordinated planning of transmission tasks in the heterogeneous space networks to enable efficient sharing of ground stations cross satellite systems.Specifically,we first formulate the coordinated planning problem into a mixed integer liner programming(MILP)problem based on time expanded graph.Then,the problem is transferred and reformulated into a consensus optimization framework which can be solved by satellite systems parallelly.With alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM),a semi-distributed coordinated transmission task planning algorithm is proposed,in which each satellite system plans its own tasks based on local information and limited communication with the coordination center.Simulation results demonstrate that compared with the centralized and fully-distributed methods,the proposed semi-distributed coordinated method can strike a better balance among task complete rate,complexity,and the amount of information required to be exchanged. 展开更多

The intermediate link compression characteristics of e-commerce express logistics ne tworks influence the tradition al mode of circulation of goods and economic organization,and alter the city spatial pattern.Based on the theory of space of flows,this study adopts China Smart Logistics Network relational data to build China's e-commerce express logistics network and explore its spatial structure characteristics through social network analysis(SNA),the PageRank technique,and geospatial methods.The results are as follows:the network density is 0.9270,which is close to 1;hence,indicating that e-commerce express logistics lines between Chinese cities are nearly complete and they form a typical network structure,thereby eliminating fragmented spaces.Moreover,the average minimum number of edges is 1.1375,which indicates that the network has a small world effect and thus has a high flow efficiency of logistics elements.A significant hierarchical diffusion effect was observed in dominant flows with the highest edge weights.A diamond-structured network was formed with Shanghai,Guangzhou,Chongqing,and Beijing as the four core nodes.Other node cities with a large logistics scale and importance in the network are mainly located in the 19 city agglomerations of China,revealing the fact that the development of city agglomerations is essential for promoting the separation of experience space and changing the urban spatial pattern.This study enriches the theory of urban networks,reveals the flow laws of modern logistics elements,and encourages coordinated development of urban logistics. 展开更多

The rapid development of information technology has fueled an ever-increasing demand for ultrafast and ultralow-en-ergy-consumption computing.Existing computing instruments are pre-dominantly electronic processors,which use elec-trons as information carriers and possess von Neumann architecture featured by physical separation of storage and pro-cessing.The scaling of computing speed is limited not only by data transfer between memory and processing units,but also by RC delay associated with integrated circuits.Moreover,excessive heating due to Ohmic losses is becoming a severe bottleneck for both speed and power consumption scaling.Using photons as information carriers is a promising alternative.Owing to the weak third-order optical nonlinearity of conventional materials,building integrated photonic com-puting chips under traditional von Neumann architecture has been a challenge.Here,we report a new all-optical comput-ing framework to realize ultrafast and ultralow-energy-consumption all-optical computing based on convolutional neural networks.The device is constructed from cascaded silicon Y-shaped waveguides with side-coupled silicon waveguide segments which we termed“weight modulators”to enable complete phase and amplitude control in each waveguide branch.The generic device concept can be used for equation solving,multifunctional logic operations as well as many other mathematical operations.Multiple computing functions including transcendental equation solvers,multifarious logic gate operators,and half-adders were experimentally demonstrated to validate the all-optical computing performances.The time-of-flight of light through the network structure corresponds to an ultrafast computing time of the order of several picoseconds with an ultralow energy consumption of dozens of femtojoules per bit.Our approach can be further expan-ded to fulfill other complex computing tasks based on non-von Neumann architectures and thus paves a new way for on-chip all-optical computing. 展开更多

With the increasing demand of computational power in artificial intelligence(AI)algorithms,dedicated accelerators have become a necessity.However,the complexity of hardware architectures,vast design search space,and complex tasks of accelerators have posed significant challenges.Tra-ditional search methods can become prohibitively slow if the search space continues to be expanded.A design space exploration(DSE)method is proposed based on transfer learning,which reduces the time for repeated training and uses multi-task models for different tasks on the same processor.The proposed method accurately predicts the latency and energy consumption associated with neural net-work accelerator design parameters,enabling faster identification of optimal outcomes compared with traditional methods.And compared with other DSE methods by using multilayer perceptron(MLP),the required training time is shorter.Comparative experiments with other methods demonstrate that the proposed method improves the efficiency of DSE without compromising the accuracy of the re-sults. 展开更多

Unsupervised methods based on density representation have shown their abilities in anomaly detection,but detection performance still needs to be improved.Specifically,approaches using normalizing flows can accurately evaluate sample distributions,mapping normal features to the normal distribution and anomalous features outside it.Consequently,this paper proposes a Normalizing Flow-based Bidirectional Mapping Residual Network(NF-BMR).It utilizes pre-trained Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)and normalizing flows to construct discriminative source and target domain feature spaces.Additionally,to better learn feature information in both domain spaces,we propose the Bidirectional Mapping Residual Network(BMR),which maps sample features to these two spaces for anomaly detection.The two detection spaces effectively complement each other’s deficiencies and provide a comprehensive feature evaluation from two perspectives,which leads to the improvement of detection performance.Comparative experimental results on the MVTec AD and DAGM datasets against the Bidirectional Pre-trained Feature Mapping Network(B-PFM)and other state-of-the-art methods demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves superior performance.On the MVTec AD dataset,NF-BMR achieves an average AUROC of 98.7%for all 15 categories.Especially,it achieves 100%optimal detection performance in five categories.On the DAGM dataset,the average AUROC across ten categories is 98.7%,which is very close to supervised methods. 展开更多

Space/air communications have been envisioned as an essential part of the next-generation mobile communication networks for providing highquality global connectivity. However, the inherent broadcasting nature of wireless propagation environment and the broad coverage pose severe threats to the protection of private data. Emerging covert communications provides a promising solution to achieve robust communication security. Aiming at facilitating the practical implementation of covert communications in space/air networks, we present a tutorial overview of its potentials, scenarios, and key technologies. Specifically, first, the commonly used covertness constraint model, covert performance metrics, and potential application scenarios are briefly introduced. Then, several efficient methods that introduce uncertainty into the covert system are thoroughly summarized, followed by several critical enabling technologies, including joint resource allocation and deployment/trajectory design, multi-antenna and beamforming techniques, reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS), and artificial intelligence algorithms. All-optical network,as a new backbone network,is featured with high speed and large capacity transmission.It may be out of order due to various faults while providing high-performance transmission service,thus more effective fault repairing methods are required.A routing and wavelength assignment method based on SDN is designed and analyzed from the perspective of service function chaining in this paper.A multi-objective integer linear programming model based on impairment-aware and scheduling time is constructed by combining the unified control of control plane with the resource allocation mode of service function virtualization.Meanwhile,an improved Firefly Algorithm is adopted to solve the model for obtaining a better scheduling scheme,so as to the resources are allocated on-demand in a more flexible and efficient way,which effectively improved the self-recovery capability of the network.In the simulation experiments,Through the comparison between the method proposed and methods based on centralization and distribution,method proposed in the paper is superior to the compared ones in the indexes of survivability,blocking probability,link recovery time,and presents a better scheduling performance,makes the system has stronger ability of self-healing in the face of failure. 展开更多

In this paper, Hailin City of Heilongjiang Province, China is taken as the research area. As an important city in Heilongjiang Province, China, the sustainable development of its ecological environment is related to the opening up, economic prosperity and social stability of Northeast China. In this paper, the remote sensing ecological index (RSEI) of Hailin City in recent 20 years was calculated by using Landsat 5/8/9 series satellite images, and the temporal and spatial changes of the ecological environment in Hailin City were further analyzed and the influencing factors were discussed. From 2003 to 2023, the mean value of RSEI in Hailin City decreased and increased, and the ecological environment decreased slightly as a whole. RSEI declined most significantly from 2003 to 2008, and it increased from 2008 to 2013, decreased from 2013 to 2018, and increased from 2018 to 2023 again, with higher RSEI value in the south and lower RSEI value in the northwest. It is suggested to appropriately increase vegetation coverage in the northwest to improve ecological quality. As a result, the predicted value of Elman dynamic recurrent neural network model is consistent with the change trend of the mean value, and the prediction error converges quickly, which can accurately predict the ecological environment quality in the future study area. 展开更多

Impressive advances in space technology are enabling complex missions, with potentially significant and long term impacts on human life and activities. In the vision of future space exploration, communication links among planets, satel ites, spacecrafts and crewed vehicles wil be designed according to a new paradigm, known as the disruption tolerant networking. In this scenario, space channel peculiarities impose a massive reengineering of many of the protocols usually adopted in terrestrial networks; among them, security solutions are to be deeply reviewed, and tailored to the specific space requirements. Security is to be provided not only to the payload data exchanged on the network, but also to the telecommands sent to a spacecraft, along possibly differentiated paths. Starting from the secure space telecommand design developed by the Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems as a response to agency-based requirements, an adaptive link layer security architecture is proposed to address some of the chal enges for future space networks. Based on the analysis of the communication environment and the error diffusion properties of the authentication algorithms, a suitable mechanism is proposed to classify frame retransmission requests on the basis of the originating event (error or security attack) and reduce the impact of security operations. An adaptive algorithm to optimize the space control protocol, based on estimates of the time varying space channel, is also presented. The simulation results clearly demonstrate that the proposed architecture is feasible and efficient, especially when facing malicious attacks against frame transmission. 展开更多

The proposed controller is addressed as a two-loop cascade control scheme. The outer loop is given by kinematic control in the task space. It provides a joint velocity reference signal to the inner one. The inner loop implements a velocity servo loop at the robot joint level. A radial basis function network (RBFN) is integrated with proportional-integral (PI) control to construct a velocity tracking control scheme for the inner loop. Finally, a prototype technology based control system is designed for a robotic manipulator. The proposed control scheme is applied to the robotic manipulator. Experimental results confirm the validity of the proposed control scheme by comparing it with other control strategies. 展开更多

The architecture and design of the simulation system are explored. The algorithm of data routing and instrument scheduling in this project is described. Besides these, the key methodologies of simulating the inter-satellite link features in the data transmissions are also discussed. In this paper, we use the global search characteristics of genetic algorithms to help search the weight space of the neurons in the cascade-correlation architecture. The cascade-correlation learning architecture is a technique of training and building neural networks that starts with a simple network of neurons and adds additional neurons as they are needed to suit a particular problem. In our approach, instead ofmodifying the genetic algorithm to account for convergence problems, we search the weight-space using the genetic algorithm and then apply the gradient technique of Quickprop to optimize the weights. This hybrid algorithm which is a combination of genetic algorithms and cascade-correlation is applied to the two spirals problem. We also use our algorithm in the prediction of the cyclic oxidation resistance of Ni- and Co-base superalloys. 展开更多

In this paper, based on the characteristics of ZigBee protocol, ZigBee technology is used to construct a wireless sensor and actor network. Several intelligent services based on ZigBee wireless sensor and actor network are shown to certify the reliability of this communication network. ZigBee wireless sensor and actor network builds an information bridge for the components in the intelligent space, the spatially distributed devices are connected together seamlessly. With this network, robot can share the mass information in the intelligent space and improve its performance with 'light-packs', devices in intelligent space, such as lamp, curtain can be controlled autonomously. 展开更多

For neural networks(NNs)with rectified linear unit(ReLU)or binary activation functions,we show that their training can be accomplished in a reduced parameter space.Specifically,the weights in each neuron can be trained on the unit sphere,as opposed to the entire space,and the threshold can be trained in a bounded interval,as opposed to the real line.We show that the NNs in the reduced parameter space are mathematically equivalent to the standard NNs with parameters in the whole space.The reduced parameter space shall facilitate the optimization procedure for the network training,as the search space becomes(much)smaller.We demonstrate the improved training performance using numerical examples. 展开更多

Spectral and spatial features in remotely sensed data play an irreplaceable role in classifying crop types for precision agriculture. Despite the thriving establishment of the handcrafted features, designing or selecting such features valid for specific crop types requires prior knowledge and thus remains an open challenge. Convolutional neural networks(CNNs) can effectively overcome this issue with their advanced ability to generate high-level features automatically but are still inadequate in mining spectral features compared to mining spatial features. This study proposed an enhanced spectral feature called Stacked Spectral Feature Space Patch(SSFSP) for CNN-based crop classification. SSFSP is a stack of twodimensional(2 D) gridded spectral feature images that record various crop types’ spatial and intensity distribution characteristics in a 2 D feature space consisting of two spectral bands. SSFSP can be input into2 D-CNNs to support the simultaneous mining of spectral and spatial features, as the spectral features are successfully converted to 2 D images that can be processed by CNN. We tested the performance of SSFSP by using it as the input to seven CNN models and one multilayer perceptron model for crop type classification compared to using conventional spectral features as input. Using high spatial resolution hyperspectral datasets at three sites, the comparative study demonstrated that SSFSP outperforms conventional spectral features regarding classification accuracy, robustness, and training efficiency. The theoretical analysis summarizes three reasons for its excellent performance. First, SSFSP mines the spectral interrelationship with feature generality, which reduces the required number of training samples.Second, the intra-class variance can be largely reduced by grid partitioning. Third, SSFSP is a highly sparse feature, which reduces the dependence on the CNN model structure and enables early and fast convergence in model training. In conclusion, SSFSP has great potential for practical crop classification in precision agriculture. 展开更多

Wireless sensor and actuator network is the key technology of service robot intelligent space. This paper is concerned with design and implementation of a ZigBee based wireless sensor and actuator network (hereinafter referred to as ZWSAN), which has been applied in our service robot intelligent space successfully. Firstly, a simplified ZigBee stack applied to ZWSAN is proposed and the primitives of the stack are illustrated after a short overview of ZigBee protocols. Then the implementation of hardware module and software stack is introduced in detail as well as several representative devices integrated into ZWSAN, including environmental sensors for environmental perception, home devices controllers for device control, embedded speech recognition module for speech control, IMU module for abnormal behaviors detection and laser robot control for service robot navigation. An application example is described to demonstrate how the devices in ZWSAN to provide service cooperatively. Finally, we conclude this paper and discuss the future directions. 展开更多
