The process of the epoxy-bonded Sm_2TM_(17) magnets includes:(1)after melting,the ingots are treated by solid soluiion,and then aged and pulverized;(2)the obtained alloy powder is mixed with epoxy resin bind- er;(3)the mixture is pressed in a magnetic field;(4)the compacts are cured.When the SmCo_(4.9)Fe_(2.7)Cu_(0.54)Zr_(0.13) alloy is heat treated and pressed with optimum pressing parameters,the high quality bonded magnets with B_r=8250 G,_iH_c=13000 Oe,and(BH)_(max)=16MGOe can be obtained.The stability of the magnets is studied also.The irreversible loss of O.C.(open circuit)remanence B_r in the temperature range between 25 and 150℃,is less than 4%.The average temperature coefficient at temperatures between 25 and 70℃ is-0.03%/℃.The magnets obtained have heat resistance up to 130℃ even in long-term service, and have good corrosion resistance in acid,alkali and salt solutions. 展开更多

The stabilities of the complexes of three pyridine-like ligands with M(II)(ATP)^(2-) and M(II)(M=Ni,Co)were studied by spectrophotometry and by comparing the stability constants of the ternary complexes with these of the binary complexes.A stacking interaction between the pyridine ring and the purine ring of ATP is indicated.The general existence of the stacking interaction encourages us to interpret the antitumor mechanism of a new class of antitumor drugs. 展开更多

Modeling Drug Concentration in Blood through Caputo-Fabrizio and Caputo Fractional Derivatives

This study focuses on the dynamics of drug concentration in the blood.In general,the concentration level of a drug in the blood is evaluated by themean of an ordinary and first-order differential equation.More precisely,it is solved through an initial value problem.We proposed a newmodeling technique for studying drug concentration in blood dynamics.This technique is based on two fractional derivatives,namely,Caputo and Caputo-Fabrizio derivatives.We first provided comprehensive and detailed proof of the existence of at least one solution to the problem;we later proved the uniqueness of the existing solution.The proof was written using the Caputo-Fabrizio fractional derivative and some fixed-point techniques.Stability via theUlam-Hyers(UH)technique was also investigated.The application of the proposedmodel on two real data sets revealed that the Caputo derivative wasmore suitable in this study.Indeed,for the first data set,the model based on the Caputo derivative yielded a Mean Squared Error(MSE)of 0.03095 with a corresponding best value of fractional order of derivative of 1.00360.Caputo-Fabrizio-basedderivative appeared to be the second-best method for the problem,with an MSE of 0.04324 for a corresponding best fractional derivative order of 0.43532.For the second experiment,Caputo derivative-based model still performed the best as it yielded an MSE of 0.04066,whereas the classical and the Caputo-Fabrizio methods were tied with the same MSE of 0.07299.Another interesting finding was that the MSE yielded by the Caputo-Fabrizio fractional derivative coincided with the MSE obtained from the classical approach. 展开更多

The aim of the present study was to develop tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained-release pellets using two-layered membrane techniques.Centrifugal granulator and fluidizedbed coater were employed to prepare drug-loaded pellets and to employ two-layered membrane coating respectively.The prepared pellets were evaluated for physicochemical characterization,subjected to differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and in vitro release of different pH.Different release models and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)were utilized to analyze the release mechanism of Harnual■ and home-made pellets.By comparing the dissolution profiles,the ratio and coating weight gain of Eudragit■ NE30D and Eudragit■ L30D55 which constitute the inside membrane were identified as 18:1 and 10%-11%.The coating amount of outside membrane containing Eudragit■ L30D55 was determined to be 0.8%.The similarity factors(f_(2))of home-made capsule and commercially available product(Harnual■)were above 50 in different dissolution media.DSC studies confirmed that drug and excipients had good compatibility and SEM photographs showed the similarities and differences of coating surface between Harnual■ and self-made pellets before and after dissolution.According to Ritger-Peppas model,the two dosage form had different release mechanism. 展开更多

The geometries and vibrational frequencies of the ground and low-lying excited states for B_3, B_3^- and B_3^+ are determined with the energy gradient method using the polarized double-zeta(6-31G*) basis set. The stabilities for the states of B_3,B_3^- and B_3^+ have been investigated based on the vibrational analysis. The correlation energy obtained for each state is considered with the configuration interaction (CISD+Q) technique. B_3 and B_3^+ have stable equilateral triangle geometry, while B_3^- has stable equilateral triangle, isosceles triangle and linear geometries. The Jahn-Teller distortion for a ~3E' state of B_3^- in D_(3h) symmetry is also discussed. 展开更多

Stability assessment of emulsion of carotenoids extracted from carrot bio-waste in flaxseed oil and its application in food model system

The research was conducted on the stability assessment of emulsion of carotenoids extracted from carrot-pomace in omega-3 rich flaxseed oil,followed by converting this emulsion into freeze-dried powder,and its application as natural functional colorant in the preparation of flavored milk.The study indicated that emulsion was stable over a range of pH (5–9),temperature (forewarming to HTST pasteurization) and ionic strength (0.1–0.75 M NaCl) except at pH 4,sterilization temperature and 1.0 M NaCl based on zeta potential and particle size of emulsion analysed at these conditions.Ten percent (out of 8,10 and 12%) of freeze-dried emulsion was selected for addition as a natural functional ingredient in flavored milk on the basis of organoleptic evaluation.The fat,protein,total solids,total carotenoid content and antioxidant value (in terms of ABTS and reducing power assay) of developed product were significantly higher (p < 0.05) than control.The whiteness index of control was significantly higher (p < 0.05) than the developed product,while reverse was true for yellowness index.However,both the products showed total color difference of 34.65.The research concludes that carotenoid-rich emulsion can be efficiently freeze-dried and used as a functional natural colorant in flavored milk for providing it better bio-functional attributes over control. 展开更多

This paper discusses the stability structure and the bifurcation of phase path characteristics of synoptic scale system.The analytic results show that the catastrophe of the synoptic scale disturbance may be caused by the nonlinear effects of barotropic and baroclinic instability and advection of ambient large-scale flow.Also, foregoing nonlinear effects on the speed of development and decay of the system are presented in the processes deviating from or approaching to equilibrium state.It has been found that there is a resonance phenomenon between the time-oscillation of heat source and the atmospheric disturbance. 展开更多

Herein, we report the effects of doped K and Al on the carbon dioxide (CO2) adsorption performance of the Li4SiO4-based adsorbents. The CO2 adsorption capacity of 0.8 wt% K and 1.5 wt% AI doped Li4SiO4 is ~2.2 times and ~1.3 times higher than that of the pristine Li4SiO4 at 500 and 600℃, respectively. The kinetic study further indicated that the reaction rates of the lithium diffusion process is greatly improved by K and AI doping, and the lithium diffusion rate of 0.8 wt% K and 1.5 wt% AI doped Li4SiO4 is ~2 times higher than that of the pristine Li4SiO4 at 575-650 ℃. K and AI doping increases the adsorption capacity of Li4SiO4-based adsorbents, and widens its effective adsorption temperature range 展开更多
