Based on the published literature at home and abroad, a variety of chemical components found in </span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Coix lacryma jobi</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> and their medicinal effects were reviewed. With the improvement of people’s living standards, the nutritional and health care value of </span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Coix lacryma-jobi</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> has been paid more and more attention.</span></span><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span><span style="font-family:;" "=""><span style="font-family:Verdana;">The problems of </span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Coix lacryma-jobi</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> in production were analyzed.</span></span><span style="font-family:;" "=""> </span><span style="font-family:;" "=""><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Some biological characteristics of </span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Coix lacryma-jobi</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">, especially its hygrophyte characteristics, were re-recognized, which is very important to increase the yield of </span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Coix lacryma jobi</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">. In the paper, the key cultivation techniques for high and stable yield of </span><i><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Coix lacryma-jobi</span></i><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> were also summarized. In order to obtain high quality, high and stable yield, we should adopt the new technical methods of “two wet, two dry and two water” in water management. Wheat stripe rust has become the most dangerous disease which threaten safe yield of wheat in Sichuan Province. It is meaningful to provide technique support for integrated disease control by exploring the effective control measures of wheat stripe rust. Wheat stripe rust dynamic developments of all-planting and mixed-planting have been systematically investigated in this study by taking different mixed-planting combinations among 6 wheat varieties with different resistance levels. The results of this experiment show that the mixed-plantings of 4 and 6 wheat varieties can delay the occurance of wheat stripe rust,slow the speed of disease and decline the damage of disease as well as stabilize yield of wheats. 展开更多

Drought-resistant Hybrid Millet under Watersaving Irrigation in Extreme Drought Area of Dunhuang City 被引量:3

[Objective]This study aimed to select hybrid mil et varieties those can produce high yield under water-saving irrigation conditions. [Method] From 2011 to 2013, drought-resistant experiments on 200 hybrid mil et combinations were carried out in the three consecutive years in Dunhuang City. Plastic film was covered on the soil surface in one treatment (F) and was not in the other treatment (NF). Irri-gation was only performed once before sowing. At seedling stage, jointing stage, heading stage and fil ing stage, we measured the water contents of soil at 0-20, 20-40, 40-60, 60-80, 80-100 and 100-120 cm deep. Plant height, panicle length, til er number, grain weight per ear, grain weight per plant, grass weight and above-ground biomass were measured from a bulk of eight plants in each plot. Grain yield per plot was measured final y. [Result] Under the only irrigation of 1 200 m3/hm2 before sowing, 18 hybrid mil et combinations exhibited stronger resistance to drought, and four of them: 13DH2, 13DH3, 13DH8 and 13DH9 produced grain more than 3 000 kg/hm2. The yield of hybrid mil et combination 13DH8 was up to 6 000 kg/hm2 under the only irrigation of 1 200 m3/hm2, i.e. 1 m3 of water could produce 5 kg of grain on average. Therefore, application of this cultivation technology could increase arable land of irrigated arid area by several times. In addition, irrigation of 1 200 m3/hm2 is equivalent to 120 mm of rainfal; so this cultivation technology also can be applied in arid area with 200 mm of rainfal . [Conclusion] The cultivation technology can cope with the occurrence of extreme weather, protect water re-sources and enlarge global grain planting area. Two-line hybrid combinations have a total of 24, accounting for 82.76% of the exhibition, but there were only 5 three-line hybrid combinations have accounting for 17.24% of the exhibition. There are 13 high-quality two-line cross combinations, representing 54.17% of the two-line hybrid combinations. In the 8 hybrid combinations, whose yield per unit area is more than that of the control, 7 are two-line hybrid combinations, and the last one is the three-line hybrid combination.
