We examined five main quality of life (QOL) domains (physical health, psychological health, social relationships, and environmental health) using the World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL-26). We also examined the total scale score. We examined Spearman’s rank correlations between POMS mood state and QOL scores and compared male and female students’ scores. The results indicated statistically significant correlations between all six mood states and three broad WHOQOL-26 domains (physical health, psychological health, and social relationships). Moreover, the relationship between mood state and QOL showed a gender difference. There were correlations between mood states and the QOL domains of social relationships and environmental health for males. In contrast, mood state correlated with the QOL domains of physical health and psychological health in females. The findings suggest that gender-specific health provision is needed to care for young university students in Japan. However, our study has several limitations;therefore, larger-scale studies with older subjects are needed in the future.展开更多

To 196 medical university students, we administered a set of self-reporting questionnaires designed to evaluate demographic characteristics, smartphone dependence, chronotype, and depressive state. Smartphone dependence was evaluated using the Wakayama Smartphone-Dependence Scale (WSDS) with 3 subscales: Subscale 1, immersion in Internet communication;Subscale 2, using a smartphone for extended periods of time and neglecting social obligations and other tasks;Subscale 3, using a smartphone while doing something else and neglect of etiquette. These full time adult credential students had been working on their adult teaching credentials to meet the competencies specified by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. The course introduced students to Andragogy developed by Malcolm Knowles out of the andragogical model developed by Lindeman (1926). The study used Principles of Adult Learning Scales (PALS), advanced by Gary Conti in 1983 to measure instructional preferences. Data were collected from 30 (100% of 30) full time adult credential students enrolled in a live course to determine their instructional preferences of helping adults learn. A total of 34 different tree species were found...This study is conducted to assess the amount of carbon stored in the above-ground biomass of the tree species at the Isabela State University Wildlife Sanctuary (ISUWS). A total of 34 different tree species were found with 285 individuals were identified with a total of 47.50 t/ha Carbon stock and 164.09 t/ha of accumulated CO<sub>2</sub>. It was found in the study that<em> Alstonia scholaris</em> contains the largest amount of above-ground biomass (AGB) with a mass of 20.97 t/ha and Carbon stock of 9.44 t/ha followed by <em>Samanea saman</em> with a mass of 13.40 t/ha and Carbon stock of 6.03 t/ha. Based on the result and conclusion of this investigation, the following recommendations were drawn: Conduct a study concerning the carbon emission of the area to determine the relationship with its carbon sequestration potential;and conduct tree planting activity to open areas in the study site to increase its carbon stock potential and fully serve the purpose of the area as a wildlife sanctuary.展开更多

evaluation was based on CMO No.3,issued in 2007.Then,the subjects were mapped from the prescribed subjects in the BS Curriculum to the CPA Licensure Examination subjects to spot the congruentcy;lastly,this paper identified the areas of competency of the Accounting Graduates using the rating obtained in the licensure examination as a standard,this is based on RA 9298,the Philippine Accountancy Law,Section 16.The relevance of the study in the present time,is to come up with a better strategic action plan based on the findings and provide practical recommendations that can enhance the capabilities of the next batches of accounting graduates of the University.Descriptive Content Analysis was used in generating and examining qualitative and quantitative data through secondary resources.Based on the CMO No.3,series of 2017,results revealed that General Education develops competencies in intellectual skills,personal,interpersonal,and communication skills.Business Education develops competencies on economic,quantitative methods,business statistics,organization behavior,marketing,and operations management,professional values,and ethics.Information Technology Education System develops competencies on internal control in computer-based systems,development standards,and practices for business systems,management of the adoption,implementation and use of IT,evaluation of computer business systems,and managing the security of information.Accounting and Finance develops competencies on business law and taxation,financial management,financial management,financial accounting theory and practice,cost determination,analysis and control,management accounting and consultancy services,advanced accounting,auditing,and assurance services.After mapping the BSA Curriculum and CPA Licensure Examination subjects,it was found that BSA Curriculum General and Business Education are integrated in all subjects given in the CPA Licensure Examination.The Information Technology Education is integrated in the CPA Licensure Examination subjects such as integrated in Theory of Accounts,Management Services,and Auditing Theory.The Accounting and Finance Education is integrated in Business Law and Taxation,Theory of Accounts,Practical Accounting Problems I,Practical Accounting Problems II,Management Services,Auditing Theory,and Auditing Problems.It was ascertained also that majority of CSU Accounting Graduates from 2013-2015 have strong competencies in financial accounting,management accounting,financial management related services,capital budgeting and techniques,project feasibility studies,and application of the concepts,standards,techniques,and methodology applicable to management/consultancy services or problems likely to be encountered in the real practice.However,accounting graduates have weak competencies in assurance and related services,applying audit standards,techniques,procedures of independent audit of medium-sized service,trading,or manufacturing concern,financial accounting techniques and methodologies to problems,and legal implications of business transactions,business associations,and negotiable instruments related to accounting and auditing and practical application of basic principles of taxation.Majority of the accounting graduates have failed in the subjects such as Auditing Theory,Auditing Problems I,and Business Law and Taxation.Given these findings,it is recommended:(1)reviewing the current competencies of the CSU accounting students against the target through a competency plan and track learning activities in Auditing and Assurance Services,Assurance Principles,Professional Ethics,and Good Governance,Advanced Financial Accounting,Part I,Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting,Part II,Accounting for Governmental,Not-for-Profit entities,and Specialized Industries,Law on Business Organization,Law on Negotiable Instruments,Sales Agency,Labour and Other Commercial Laws,and Business Transfer Taxes where majority of the students failed in the CPA Licensure Examination;(2)enhancing or improving teaching methodologies on the subjects in BSA curriculum such as Management Accounting and Consultancy Services,Auditing and Assurance Services,Business Law and Taxation,and Financial Accounting Practice where majority of Accounting graduates showed weak competencies;(3)conducting a thorough investigation of the factors that caused the failure of the students in the said subjects,then,strengthening the admission and retention Objective:To investigate the seroprevalence of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) infection among the undergraduate students of Nasarawa state University,Keffi,Nigeria.Methods:A total of 200 serum samples were collected fr...Objective:To investigate the seroprevalence of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) infection among the undergraduate students of Nasarawa state University,Keffi,Nigeria.Methods:A total of 200 serum samples were collected from undergraduate students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi,and 100μL of each serum was aseptically transferred to the specimen well of an H.pylori antigen kit(Clinotech USA).The 2 distinctive red lines apearing in the control and test regions of the kit after 10 minufes indicated positive reaction.Results:Of the 200 students sampled, 108(54%) were seropositive.Analysis of seroprevalence of H.pylori revealed the correlation between infection prevalence and age.The infection prevalence was 45.5%among students aged 18-20,rose to the peak of 85.7%adults aged 31-40,dropped to 66.7%among those 41-50 years old,and continuously went down to 28.6%in the 51-year-old and above populaion.There was a statistically significant difference(using Chi-square) with respects to gender,age and type of infection(symptomatic or asymptomatic seropositive infection)(P【0.0S).Conclucions: Community Health Personnel should be aware of this microorganism as a potential cause of illness in children.Furthermore,the mode of transmission and possible means of controlling the bacterial infection among students or a community is of public health concern and requires further study.展开更多

The state space is all state characteristics exhibited in objects whilst the state time refers to the duration of an object's state. The time is a spatial property and not an independent dimension. The state space-time is a unity of internal and external space-time. The internal space-time is stemmed from the overall internal forces and internal energies and is a covert space-time. The external space-time refers to a space-time manifested by the external characteristics and movement of an object and is an overt space-time. In physics, there are four kinds of forces and four state space-times: bonding force and three-dimensional space-time; strong interaction of exchangeable n meson and two-dimensional space-time; quark confinement and one-dimensional space-time; and weak interaction and zero-dimensional space-time. The universe is constituted by dissimilar state space-times. Newton space-time is a three-dimensional state space-time; Einstein's theory of relativity is a two-dimensional state space-time. In a first order ...From the hypotheses compatible with microphysics theory, this paper establishes a new theoretical model of static universal gravitation and deduces new formula of the theory of universal gravitation. In a first order approximation, the new formula shows the inverse-square law consistent with Newton formula, which would indicate that the new theory is consistent with the experimental results that can be reasonably explained by the current theory of gravitation. The parameters and higher order terms among the coefficients of this paper reveal the numerous infinitesimal neglected effects by current theory and experiments. In the first order approximation, the meanings of the physical parameters included in coefficients are analyzed and the infinitesimal neglected effects are applied in the study of the stability of the universe, which overcomes the difficulty of singularity in the cosmology of Newton, Einstein, etc., and concludes that the boundary of universe is unlimited, without any need of the hypothesis that the universe starts off with the big bang. Therefore, this paper establishes a harmonious and ingenious relationship between microphysics and macrophysics theories. In addition, through the analysis of the formula derived from the theory of this paper, it is found that: in general, the gravitational constant is not always a constant in the gravitation formula requiring high precision;from the perspective of the interaction of field quantum, the acting force may not be equal to counter-acting force under the interaction of indirect contact;the gravity process is an exothermic process;in the gravitational process, annihilation effects may exist amongst gravitons;reciprocal translation may exist amongst fundamental forces.展开更多

文摘Objective:To investigate the seroprevalence of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) infection among the undergraduate students of Nasarawa state University,Keffi,Nigeria.Methods:A total of 200 serum samples were collected from undergraduate students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi,and 100μL of each serum was aseptically transferred to the specimen well of an H.pylori antigen kit(Clinotech USA).The 2 distinctive red lines apearing in the control and test regions of the kit after 10 minufes indicated positive reaction.Results:Of the 200 students sampled, 108(54%) were seropositive.Analysis of seroprevalence of H.pylori revealed the correlation between infection prevalence and age.The infection prevalence was 45.5%among students aged 18-20,rose to the peak of 85.7%adults aged 31-40,dropped to 66.7%among those 41-50 years old,and continuously went down to 28.6%in the 51-year-old and above populaion.There was a statistically significant difference(using Chi-square) with respects to gender,age and type of infection(symptomatic or asymptomatic seropositive infection)(P【0.0S).Conclucions: Community Health Personnel should be aware of this microorganism as a potential cause of illness in children.Furthermore,the mode of transmission and possible means of controlling the bacterial infection among students or a community is of public health concern and requires further study.
文摘All things in the universe possess a state and characteristics of state, resultantly in presence of space-time, which is perceived by human beings. An outlook of space-time is shaped in human by perceiving the existence and change of objects. The state space is all state characteristics exhibited in objects whilst the state time refers to the duration of an object's state. The time is a spatial property and not an independent dimension. The state space-time is a unity of internal and external space-time. The internal space-time is stemmed from the overall internal forces and internal energies and is a covert space-time. The external space-time refers to a space-time manifested by the external characteristics and movement of an object and is an overt space-time. In physics, there are four kinds of forces and four state space-times: bonding force and three-dimensional space-time; strong interaction of exchangeable n meson and two-dimensional space-time; quark confinement and one-dimensional space-time; and weak interaction and zero-dimensional space-time. The universe is constituted by dissimilar state space-times. Newton space-time is a three-dimensional state space-time; Einstein's theory of relativity is a two-dimensional state space-time. Newton and Einstein were different observers. Temporal and spatial perception of human is dependent upon human's intemal energy and quality. Through Qigong exercises, the human is able to enter the three-dimensional, two-dimensional, one-dimensional and zero-dimensional space-times. The relativity theory of human body will solve the time problems at the interplanetary voyage of astronauts.
文摘A searching-machining system of RL & SM (Rapid Location and State Memory) universal fixture is here introduced, and the concept of rapid searching technology and manufacturing information transformation is then described, with the appropriate control methods and key techniques for its realization being proposed and also practically realized. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed idea and methods are feasible to serve as in the practical application of the RL & SM system.

文摘Homomorphic encryption has giant advantages in the protection of privacy information.In this paper,we present a new kind of probabilistic quantum homomorphic encryption scheme for the universal quantum circuit evaluation.Firstly,the pre-shared non-maximally entangled states are utilized as auxiliary resources,which lower the requirements of the quantum channel,to correct the errors in non-Clifford gate evaluation.By using the set synthesized by Clifford gates and T gates,it is feasible to perform the arbitrary quantum computation on the encrypted data.Secondly,our scheme is different from the previous scheme described by the quantum homomorphic encryption algorithm.From the perspective of application,a two-party probabilistic quantum homomorphic encryption scheme is proposed.It is clear what the computation and operation that the client and the server need to perform respectively,as well as the permission to access the data.Finally,the security of probabilistic quantum homomorphic encryption scheme is analyzed in detail.It demonstrates that the scheme has favorable security in three aspects,including privacy data,evaluated data and encryption and decryption keys.

文摘A scheme for the realization of a universal quantum cloning machine is proposed in this paper. The present protocol does not need the vibrational mode to act as the memory and it is robust against small changes of experimental parameters due to adiabatic passages. Furthermore, the scheme may be realized based on current technology.

文摘For pseudocapacitive electrode materials(PseEMs),despite much progress having been made in achieving both high power density and high energy density,a general strategy to guide the enhancement of intrinsic capacitive properties of PseEMs remains lacking.Here,we demonstrate a universal chargecompensating strategy to improve the charge-storage capability of PseEMs intrinsically:ⅰ) in the electrolyte with anion as charge carriers(such as OH-),reducing the multivalent cations of PseEMs into lower valences could create more reversible low-to-high valence redox cou ples to promote the intercalation of the anions;ⅱ) in the electrolytes with cation as charge carriers(such as H^(+),Li^(+),Na^(+)),oxidizing the multivalent cations of PseEMs into higher valences could introduce more reversible high-to-low valence redox couples to promote the intercalation of the cations.And we demonstrated that the improved intrinsic charge-storage capability for PseEMs originates from the increased Faradaic charge storage sites.
文摘From the hypotheses compatible with microphysics theory, this paper establishes a new theoretical model of static universal gravitation and deduces new formula of the theory of universal gravitation. In a first order approximation, the new formula shows the inverse-square law consistent with Newton formula, which would indicate that the new theory is consistent with the experimental results that can be reasonably explained by the current theory of gravitation. The parameters and higher order terms among the coefficients of this paper reveal the numerous infinitesimal neglected effects by current theory and experiments. In the first order approximation, the meanings of the physical parameters included in coefficients are analyzed and the infinitesimal neglected effects are applied in the study of the stability of the universe, which overcomes the difficulty of singularity in the cosmology of Newton, Einstein, etc., and concludes that the boundary of universe is unlimited, without any need of the hypothesis that the universe starts off with the big bang. Therefore, this paper establishes a harmonious and ingenious relationship between microphysics and macrophysics theories. In addition, through the analysis of the formula derived from the theory of this paper, it is found that: in general, the gravitational constant is not always a constant in the gravitation formula requiring high precision;from the perspective of the interaction of field quantum, the acting force may not be equal to counter-acting force under the interaction of indirect contact;the gravity process is an exothermic process;in the gravitational process, annihilation effects may exist amongst gravitons;reciprocal translation may exist amongst fundamental forces.
