iPhosD-PseAAC:Identification of phosphoaspartate sites in proteins using statistical moments and PseAAC

Phosphoaspartate is one of the major components of eukaryotes and prokaryotic two-component signaling pathways,and it communicates the signal from the sensor of histidine kinase,through the response regulator,to the DNA alongside transcription features and initiates the transcription of correct response genes.Thus,the prediction of phosphoaspartate sites is critical,and its experimental identification can be expensive,time-consuming,and tedious.For this purpose,we propose iPhosD-PseAAC,a new computational model for predicting phosphoaspartate sites in a particular protein sequence using Chou’s 5-steps rues:(1)Benchmark dataset.(2)The feature extraction techniques such as pseudo amino acid composition(PseAAC),statistical moments,and position relative features.(3)For the classification,artificial neural network AAN will be used.(4)In this step,10-fold cross-validation and self-consistency testing will be used for validation.For self-consistency testing,100%Acc is achieved,whereas,for 10-fold crossvalidation 95.14%Acc,95.58%Sn,94.70%Sp and 0.95 MCC are observed.(5).The final step is the development of a user-friendly web server for the ease of users.Thus,the iPhosD-PseAAC is the first and novel predictor for accurate and efficient identification of phosphoaspartate sites. 展开更多

Compared with the histogram of Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) coefficients before the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) embedding, the peak value of the histogram after the embedding decreases and expands toward the border. Based on the property, an audio steganalysis of DSSS based on statistical moments of histogram is proposed. The statistical moments of the histogram in DCT domain and its frequency domain and the statistical moments of the histogram of the wavelet coefficients of every level in frequency domain are calculated as the features of classification. Support Vector Machine (SVM) is exploited as the classifier. Experimental results show that the proposed technique is effective on the DSSS embedding in DCT domain using different embedding length, and the average detection rate is 91.75%. 展开更多

A novel structural damage detection method with a new damage index,i.e.,the statistical moment-based damage detection(SMBDD) method in the frequency domain,has been recently proposed.The aim of this study is to extend the SMBDD method in the frequency domain to the time domain for building structures subjected to non-Gaussian and non-stationary excitations.The applicability and effectiveness of the SMBDD method in the time domainis verified both numerically and experimentally.Shear buildings with various damage scenarios are first numerically investigated in the time domain taking into account the effect of measurement noise.The applicability of the proposed method in the time domain to building structures subjected to non-Gaussian and non-stationary excitations is then experimentally investigated through a series of shaking table tests,in which two three-story shear building models with four damage scenarios aretested.The identified damage locations and severities are then compared with the preset values.The comparative results are found to be satisfactory,and the SMBDD method is shown to be feasible and effective for building structures subjected to non-Gaussian and non-stationary excitations. 展开更多

Improved response surface method and its application in stability reliability degree analysis of tunnel surrounding rock 被引量:10

An approach of limit state equation for surrounding rock was put forward based on deformation criterion. A method of symmetrical sampling of basic random variables adopted by classical response surface method was mended, and peak value and deflection degree of basic random variables distribution curve were took into account in the mended sampling method. A calculation way of probability moment, based on mended Rosenbluth method, suitable for non-explicit performance function was put forward. The first, second, third and fourth order moments of functional function value were calculated by mended Rosenbluth method through the first, second, third and fourth order moments of basic random variable. A probability density the function(PDF) of functional function was deduced through its first, second, third and fourth moments, the PDF in the new method took the place of the method of quadratic polynomial to approximate real functional function and reliability probability was calculated through integral by the PDF for random variable of functional function value in the new method. The result shows that the improved response surface method can adapt to various statistic distribution types of basic random variables, its calculation process is legible and need not itemtive circulation. In addition, a stability probability of surrounding rock for a tunnel was calculated by the improved method, whose workload is only 30% of classical method and its accuracy is comparative. 展开更多

Objective To explore the transitive regularity of holistic constituents from the crude slices of the medicinal raw materials(MCS)to the formula granules(FG),fufang decoction(FD),and finally,the concentrated pills(CP)of Liuwei Dihuang Fufang(六味地黄复方,LWDHF).Methods Samples for MCS,FG,FD,and CP of LWDHF were obtained,and a fingerprint data-base was established using high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),by separating the samples in an XB-C18 column and analyzing the transitive regularity of components us-ing the total quantum statistical moment(TQSM),including total quantum zero moment(AUCT),total quantum first moment(MRTT),total quantum second moment(VRTT),and its similarity approach.The AUCT,MRTT,and VRTT were calculated based on the representative HPLC chromatograms of FG,FD,and CP of LWDHF.Results AUCT of FG,FD,and CP of LWDHF was 71804,46553,and 144646μV·s,respectively;MRTT was 14.43,14.54,and 18.85 min,respectively;and VRTT was 106.98,112.84,and 269.12 min2,respectively.Comparing the similarity of FG/FD,FG/CP and FD/CP of LWDHF,the TQSM similarity values were 98.66%,76.62%,and 75.37%,respectively,whereas the tradi-tional similarity evaluation values were 98.68%,85.43%,and 85.60%,respectively.Conclusion The results perform little distinction in the total composition between FG and FD,whereas some distinction existed between FD and CP.Experimental evidence,therefore indicates that FG could be used as the alternative of MCS in clinical applications. 展开更多
