The rupture and movement scope of overlying strata upon the longwall mining face increased sharply as the exploitation scale and degree growing recently, and the spatial structure formed by fractured strata became much more complex. The overlying strata above the working face and adjacent gobs would affect each other and move cooperatively because small pillar can hardly separate the connection of overlying strata between two workfaces, which leads to mining seismicity in the gob and induces rockburst disaster that named spatial structure instability rockburst in this paper.Based on the key stratum theory, the F-structure model was established to describe the overlying strata characteristic and rockburst mechanism of workface with one side of gob and the other side un-mined solid coal seam. The results show that F-structure in the gob will re-active and loss stability under the influence of neighboring mining, and fracture and shear slipping in the process of instability is the mechanism of the seismicity in the gob.The F-structure was divided into two categories that short-arm F and long-arm F structure based on the state of strata above the gob.We studied the underground pressure rules of different F-structure and instability mechanism, thus provide the guide for prevention and control of the F-structure spatial instability rockburst. The micro-seismic system is used for on-site monitoring and researching the distribution rules of seismic events, the results confrmed the existence and correct of F-spatial structure. At last specialized methods for prevention seismicity and rockburst induced by F-structure instability are proposed and applied in Huating Coal Mine. 展开更多

The South Yellow Sea basin is filled with Mesozoic-Cenozoic continental sediments overlying pre-Palaeozoic and Mesozoic-Palaeozoic marine sediments.Conventional multi-channel seismic data cannot describe the velocity structure of the marine residual basin in detail, leading to the lack of a deeper understanding of the distribution and lithology owing to strong energy shielding on the top interface of marine sediments. In this study,we present seismic tomography data from ocean bottom seismographs that describe the NEE-trending velocity distributions of the basin. The results indicate that strong velocity variations occur at shallow crustal levels.Horizontal velocity bodies show good correlation with surface geological features, and multi-layer features exist in the vertical velocity framework(depth:0–10 km).The analyses of the velocity model, gravity data, magnetic data, multichannel seismic profiles, and drilling data showed that high-velocity anomalies(>6.5 km/s)of small(thickness:1–2 km)and large(thickness:>5 km)scales were caused by igneous complexes in the multi-layer structure, which were active during the Palaeogene.Possible locations of good Mesozoic and Palaeozoic marine strata are limited to the Central Uplift and the western part of the Northern Depression along the wide-angle ocean bottom seismograph array.Following the Indosinian movement,a strong compression existed in the Northern Depression during the extensional phase that caused the formation of folds in the middle of the survey line. This study is useful for reconstructing the regional tectonic evolution and delineating the distribution of the marine residual basin in the South Yellow Sea basin. 展开更多

The changeable structure and movement law of overlying strata are the maincontributor to the change of mining stress.Starting from the relevant theory of keystratum and particularly based on the theory of mine ground pressure and strata control, this research proposed a new solution to mining stress problems by establishing adual-load-zone stratum structural model.Elastic foundation beam theory was used tosolve the stress of overlying strata of the dual-load-zones with superposition method, which revised the traditional calculation method of mining stress. The abnormal increaseof lead abutment pressure in the mining area was explained effectively, through which theevolution law of mining stress in the case of hard rock was obtained. The results indicatethat mining stress experiences a drastic change within the range of 50 m ahead of the coalwall due to the collapse of main roof;under the influence of main key stratum andinferior key strata, the influence range of lead abutment pressure is extended up toapproximately 120 m in the working face;this remarkable increase can be attributed tothe excessive length of sagging zone. Results from both the dual-load-zone modelexperiment and field measurement demonstrate high consistency. The model can predictthe influence range of abutment pressure effectively and thus guide the safety productionof mining. 展开更多

Differences between the Cenozoic and pre-Cenozoic strata and structures in the middlesouth South Yellow Sea are analyzed using high-resolution airborne gravity data combined with data from offshore wells, seismic exploration and the regional geological background, using forward and inverse methods. We discuss why hydrocarbon exploration has so far failed in the South Yellow Sea, and put forward alternative future exploration plans. The results show that there are thick Cenozoic strata over Jurassic-Cretaceous continental strata in the southern basin of the South Yellow Sea, contrasted with thick Mid-Paleozoic marine strata preserved in the middle uplift area. In the mid-southern South Yellow Sea, airborne Bouguer gravity anomalies are fragmentized with scattered local anomalies. Many tensile normal faults and minor fault blocks occur in the Cenozoic strata. In contrast, reverse faults and nappe structures are found in pre-Cenozoic strata. The essential reasons for the lack of a breakthrough in hydrocarbon exploration are the complexity of geological structures, hydrocarbon accumulation environments, seismic-geologic conditions, and the difficulty of interpreting and understanding these features, rather than an imbalance of exploration framework. Hydrocarbon exploration should be targeted at Mid-Cenozoic continental strata, especially of Paleogene age, in the middle to southern parts of the South Yellow Sea. Special attention should be paid to the favorable structural belts SYI1, SYI2, SYI3 and SYI4 in the southern basin of the South Yellow Sea, where detailed seismic exploration or drilling should be carried out. Attention should also be given to Mid-Paleozoic marine strata in the middle uplift area of the South Yellow Sea. Key strategies that could lead to a hydrocarbon exploration breakthrough are improving exploration resolution, conducting detailed studies of fine structures, and accurately locating minor structures. 展开更多
