Then we fit ...In this paper,we firstly analyze the "3,400 travel time table "used for a long time in Xinjiang Seismological Network to obtain the velocity structure models in accord with the table by fitting. Then we fit the velocity of all seismic phases recorded in Xinjiang region in January 2009 ~ December 2013. Simulation analysis is done on the reliability and stability of the velocities,and a concept is proposed for building subarea crustal velocity models according to partitioning of seismic cluster regions. The crustal velocity model suitable for the Yutian area is fitted with the data of all phases of seismic events within a radius of 1°around the 2014 Yutian M_S7.3 earthquake since January 2009,and the model is applied to the relocation of the Yutian M_S7.3 earthquake and determination of focal depths of the earthquake sequence.展开更多

The difference between ground soil and air temperature (Ts-Ta) was studied by using the data of ground and air temperature of 99 stations over the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau from 1960 to 2000,and its spatial d...The difference between ground soil and air temperature (Ts-Ta) was studied by using the data of ground and air temperature of 99 stations over the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Plateau from 1960 to 2000,and its spatial distribution and time changing tendency have been diagnosed by principal component analysis and power spectral analysis methods. The results show that the values of (Ts-Ta) are the maximum in June and the minimum in December. The first three loading eigenvectors, which reflect the main spatially anomalous structure of (Ts-Ta) over the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, contain the contrary changing pattern between the northwestern and the southeastern regions, the pattern response of the sea level elevation and the geography, and the pattern response of the distribution of the permafrost. There are four patterns of time evolution including the patterns of monotonous increasing or decreasing trends, the basic stability pattern and the parabola pattern with the minimum value. (Ts-Ta) has a periodic variation about 2 years. According to the spatial distribution of the third loading eigenvectors of (Ts-Ta) over the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau in cold season, the permafrost response region and the seasonal frozen ground response region are identified.展开更多

The ubiquitous mobile devices provide the...The indoor subarea localization has wide application space in dynamic hotzone identification, indoor layout optimization, store dynamic pricing and crowd flowtrend prediction. The ubiquitous mobile devices provide the opportunity for wirelessfingerprinting-based indoor localization services. However, there are two short boardwhere the existing methods have been criticized. One is that a tagging approach requiresa large number of professional surveys for wireless fingerprint construction, whichweakens the scalability of the methods. The other is that the crowdsourcing-basedmethods encounter the cold boot problem in the system initial stage. To address theseissues, the paper proposes a topology optimization approach leveraging the dynamiclogical anchor selection into a subarea localization system. First of all, a newannular-based radio map construction strategy with the feedback selection of logic anchoris designed to release the pressure of site survey. The implementation of this strategyharnesses the characteristics of the indoor building structure and inter subareaoverlapping recognition, without the topology and distribution of physical anchor (e.g.,access points or POIs). Secondly, exploiting the probabilistic support vector machinealgorithm, the target is localized in the corresponding subarea in a real-time pattern.Furthermore, the localization error is calibrated with an error recognition algorithm.Finally, massive experiments are implemented on a prototype system. The results showthat the proposed method can decrease the overhead of the system initialization andachieve higher localization accuracy compared with the existing approaches.展开更多

The novelty of the STR protocol is to divide the whole network into many subareas constructed as a result of esta...Subarea Tree Routing (STR), a new routing protocol for multi-hop wireless ad hoc networks, is proposed. The novelty of the STR protocol is to divide the whole network into many subareas constructed as a result of establishing subarea trees. Its main idea is to identify root nodes by manual configuration or auto-discovery process firstly, then the root nodes originate the process of establishing subarea trees, and finally each node either joins in a subarea tree or become an interconnect node. STR belongs to hierarchical routing protocol and does not attempt to consistently maintain routing information in every node. Furthermore, through the use of tree’s intrinsic routing function, the STR protocol exhibits hybrid behavior of proactive and on-demand routing protocols. We prove the correctness of STR, and our simulation results show that the pro-posed scheme achieves lower route discovery delays, lower route discovery load and better performance of normalized routing load in large, mobile, ad hoc networks as compared with AODV.展开更多

The core of this method includes a control area division module and...We propose a novel dynamic traffic signal coordination method that takes account of the special traffic flow characteristics of urban arterial roads. The core of this method includes a control area division module and a signal coordination control module. Firstly, we analyze and model the influences of segment distance, traffic flow density, and signal cycle time on the correlation degree between two neighboring intersections. Then, we propose a fuzzy computing method to estimate the correlation degree based on a hierarchical structure and a method to divide the control area of urban arterial roads into subareas based on correlation degrees. Subarea coordination control arithmetic is used to calculate the public cycle time of the control subarea, up-run offset and down-run offset of the section, and the split of each intersection. An application of the method in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, China shows that the method can reduce the average travel time and the average stop rate effectively.展开更多
