Objective: To develop a predictive model for HIV/AIDS in the sexual behavior of university students from a public university in the state of Guanajuato. Methodology: Correlational study involved 294 university students from 18 to 19 years of age by stratified random sampling. The instruments used were: attitudes, subjective norms, self-efficacy and intentions for HIV/AIDS and sexual behavior. Descriptive statistics, normality test of Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Spearman correlation and logistic regression was used. Results: In describing sexual behavior of young students at the beginning of sexual life is observed that 61.9% of them have had sexual life, with higher per- centage in men. Of the 182 university students who reported first sexual intercourse used a contraceptive method 138 and 135 specifically used a condom the first time they had sex. The variables that have the ability to predict the sex drive at the start of sexual life, are the attitudes and perceived behavioral control (X2 = 39,638, df = 4, p < 0.000), reporting a 12.6% of explained variance. Conclusions: In general, university students today are perceived as vulnerable to sexual behavior and have safe sex, which leads us to think that protect not get HIV/AIDS and unwanted pregnancies. 展开更多

Purpose:This paper aims to examine how the adoption decision of the internet banking in North Cyprus would be affected based on the following dimensions;the technology features, the personal characteristics, the social environment and the expected risk.Design/methodology/approach:A self-administered survey was conducted with 291 participants responded to it.The partial least square approach of the structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM)is employed to investigate the direct effects of the proposed factors on the adoption decision.Additionally, the mediation test is used to examine indirect effects.Findings:Results showed that even though the participants appreciated the benefits of the online banking as the perceived usefulness factor exerts the greatest direct effect, they would rather use clear and easy-to-use websites, adding to that their assessments of the usefulness of these services are significantly influenced by the surrounding people’s views and prior experience. This is demonstrated by the total effects of the perceived ease of use and the subjective norm factors, which are greater than the direct effect of the perceived usefulness factor since both of these factors have significant direct and indirect effects mediated by the perceived usefulness factor. The negative impact of the perceived risk factor is weak compared to the previous factors. While the personal innovativeness factor showed the weakest effect among the proposed factors. 展开更多

The current study primarily aims to identify the critical purchase factors that affect Chinese consumer purchase intention and purchase decision with regard to organic food consumption,in accordance with a modified theory of planned behavior and the alphabet theory.Specifically, this study builds a conceptual research framework by which to delve into the relationships between purchase factors and purchase intention, and elucidate the mediating roles of purchase factors in the relationships between purchase intention and purchase decision. Moreover,by leveraging a modified theory of planned behavior and the alphabet theory, the current study also determines the critical roles of subjective norms and reveals the information and knowledge that impact consumer attitude toward the purchase of organic food. The current study leverages the purposive sampling method and captures 310 records within Beijing,China. The results indicate that purchase attitude correlates positively with subjective norms and knowledge, while purchase intention correlates positively with purchase attitude, perceived behavior control, and food therapy culture.Furthermore, purchase intention can significantly mediate relationships between each of purchase attitude, perceived behavior control, food therapy culture, and purchase decision. Finally,we discuss the theoretical and practical significance of the framework, and propose subsequent research directions regarding organic food purchase behavior. 展开更多
