Impact of coupling coordination development of port and city environments on urban economic competitiveness:Evidence from the coastal port cities in eastern China

Promoting the coupling coordination development of port and its hinterland city environments is an important way to improve urban economic competitiveness.Based on relevant data of 13 coastal port cities in eastern China from 2000 to 2018,this study explores the coupling coordination development of port and city environments and its impact on urban economic competitiveness by constructing the coupling coordination degree model and the panel threshold model.The research results show that:(1)In terms of the coupling coordination development of port and city environments,most coastal ports and their hinterland cities are in a state of moderate or serious disorder.Overall,the degree of coupling coordination of port and city environments needs to be further improved;(2)The coupling coordination degree of port and city environments has a significant impact on urban economic competitiveness,and this effect gradually increases with the development of the ports and the urban economy.Among the variables that impact the urban economic competitiveness,fixed assets investment and foreign trade are significant factors that can enhance urban economic competitiveness.(3)At present,there is a“U-shaped”relationship between the coupling coordination degree of port-city environments and the urban economic competitiveness.This relationship lies on the right side of the inflection point of the“U-shaped”curve.Therefore,following the concept of assigning priority to ecological development,expanding fixed assets investment and actively developing foreign trade can further enhance the urban economic competitiveness. 展开更多

Taking the pilgrimage,tourism and cultural island of Meizhou Island as an example,the evaluation index system of the coupling and coordinated development of“Mazu culture,socio-economy,eco-environment”(MSE)compound system was constructed.The index weights were determined by AHP-entropy method,and the coupling degree,coordinated degree,comprehensive evaluation index and grey correlation degree of MSE system of Mazu Island from 2012 to 2022 were measure.The results showed that:(1)the comprehensive evaluation indexes of the three subsystems was on the rise in general,but the evaluation index of the ecological subsystems increased relatively slowly.(2)The coupling degree was only in the running-in stage in 2012,and the other years were in the coordinated coupling stage.(3)The coupling coordination degree increased from 0.35 in 2012 to 0.82 in 2022,the coupling coordination level was changed from mild imbalance to good coordination.(4)Through the comparison of grey correlation degree,the 24 indexes in the evaluation index system had great influence on the coupling coordination degree of MSE system.The coupling coordination degree was closely related to the development of socio-economy and the spread of Mazu culture.With the rapid development of tourism brought about by the spread of Mazu culture,the pressure on the ecological environment will be increasing.Compared with the rapid growth of tourism and economy,it is equally important to strengthen environmental protection and pay attention to the quality of ecological environment development. 展开更多

Recently,the field of rural vitalization has received extensive research attention.However,only few studies have proposed an approach to rural vitalization from the coupling perspective of township construction and the resource environment.Taking Jiangsu Province of China as the study area,we constructed index systems of township construction function types and resource environments.Based on 875 township study units in Jiangsu,we characterized the township construction function type and resource environment and analyzed the dynamic process of their coupling from 2005 to 2017.The results are as follows:1)the townships of planting and breeding types in Jiangsu were mainly distributed in northern and central Jiangsu;the townships of business travel,industry,and integrated types were mainly distributed in southern Jiangsu;and the townships of ecological type were irregularly distributed throughout Jiangsu.2)Resource environment factors and township construction function types in Jiangsu clustered based on their location with some overlap.3)Spatial variability in the degree of coupling level between township construction and the resource environment in Jiangsu was not apparent,and low coupling levels accounted for most of the study units.The sum of the number of medium and high coupling townships in southern,central,and northern Jiangsu was roughly equal,and the coupling level between township construction and the resource environment in southern Jiangsu evolved remained unchanged,whereas that in the central and northern Jiangsu became imbalanced.4)In Jiangsu,township construction was mainly constrained by water resources,and the constraint parameters gradually increase.Large variability in resource environment constraint was observed in northern,central,and southern Jiangsu for different township construction function types.Based on these findings,we proposed the implementation of targeted rural vitalization strategies. 展开更多

Based on the theory of sustainable development,using the theory and method of coupling relationship,the main city of Aiby Lake basin——Jinghe County in Xinjiang is selected. Based on the analyses of natural condition,population growth,land use type and ecological environment,the comprehensive evaluation index systems of socio-economic development level and eco-environment quality in Jinghe County are constructed. Using principal component analysis,a comprehensive evaluation of socio-economic development level and ecological environment quality in Jinghe County is conducted by combining with Excel. Their coupling relationship is studied,and quantitative coordination degree between social economy and ecological environment in Jinghe County is obtained. The results show that in recent 50 years,socio-economic development level in Jinghe County is rising,but the ecological environment quality is falling. Their coupling degree C changes during [- 1. 260, + 0. 482],in other words,their coupling relationship is changing between " reluctant coordination" and " not coordination". After entering into the 21 stcentury,their coupling relationship is basically " reluctant coordination". On this basis,the existing problems in the process of sustainable development in Jinghe County are analyzed,and the suggestions about promoting coordinated development between social economy and ecological environment are put forward. 展开更多

Mongolia is an important country in the Economic Corridor of China-Mongolia-Russia, a deep understanding of the coupling relationship between urbanization and the eco-environment in Mongolia is meaningful to achieve green development of the Belt and Road. The entropy method and coupling coordination degree model were integrated to evaluate the coupling coordination degree between urbanization and the eco-environment in Mongolia during 2000-2016. The results showed that the coupling coordination degree between urbanization and the eco-environment in Mongolia was generally at the stage of seriously unbalanced development, and that the main contributor of the urbanization and the eco-environment subsystem were demographic urbanization and eco-environment endowment, respectively. The southern part of Mongolia central zone should be paid more attention due to the lower degree of coupling coordination between urbanization and the eco-environment. To promote the healthy urbanization development in Mongolia, six-layer eco-city establishing green development pattern is proposed to provide scientific support for Mongolia. 展开更多

This paper, taking Hexi Corridor as an example, analyzes the altemating intimidation and the dynamic evolving relation between urbanization and eco-environment in arid area of West China. We argue that the harmonious development system of the urbanization and eco-environment would go through four phases: rudimentary symbiotic phase, harmonious developmental phase, utmost increasing phase and spiral type rising phase. Throughout the four phases, the elements of the system would influence each other, coerce each other, and complete the spiral type rising process from low-grade symbiosis to high-grade harmony together. The study on Hexi Corridor shows that the urbanization level in Hexi Corridor has increased gradually from 1985 to 2003 accompanied with the fluctuations of eco-environment state. The response of eco-environment to urbanization has been evident, but lagged behind the urbanization course. At present, the harmonious development system in Hexi Corridor was in its harmonious developmental phase. However, the coupling degree has increased quickly and approached 90 yet, which is signaling that the system is about to enter the utmost increasing phase, and the ecological crisis will enter the latent period. We have found that the coupling degree can well reflect the interactive coercing and dynamic evolving situation between urbanization and eco-environment in Hexi Corridor. From the temporal change of the coupling degree, it can be concluded that urbanization sometimes needs to pay a certain cost for the damage of the eco-environment in its initial stages, but as the urbanization continues, the state of the eco-environment would be meliorated. 展开更多

The structure and components are designed. Based on the fact that cooperation between distributed agents is erratic, a controlled natural language communication function is designed and realized. Mn-doped ZnO nanocrystals are synthesized by a wet chemical route and treated in H2/Ar atmosphere with different H2/Ar ratios. It is found that hydrogen annealing could change the coordination environment of Mn in ZnO lattice and manipulate the magnetic properties of Mn-doped ZnO. Mn ions initially enter into interstitial sites and a Mn3+ 06 octahedral coordination is produced in the prepared Mn-doped ZnO sample, in which the nearest neighbor Mn3+ and 02 ions could form a Mn3+-O2--Mn3+ complex. After H2 annealing, interstitial Mn ions can substitute for Zn to generate the Mn2+O4 tetrahedral coordination in the nanocrystals, in which neighboring Mn2+ ions and H atoms could form a Mn2+-O2--Mn2+ complex and Mn-H-Mn bridge structure. The magnetic measurement of the as-prepared sample shows room temperature paramagnetic behavior due to the Mn3+-O2--Mn3+ complex, while the annealed samples exhibit their ferromagnetism, which originates from the Mn-H-Mn bridge structure and the Mn-Mn exchange interaction in the Mn2+-O2--Mn2+ complex. 展开更多

The construction of a livable environment for the elderly is an important measure to address the challenges of aging and improve their livelihood and well-being.Based on China’s national conditions and combined with the actual development needs of the cities,it is of great significance to explore the coupling and coordination characteristics and influencing factors within the livable environment system for the elderly for the coordination and stable development.This article was based on the three subsystems of’living service environment,socioeconomic environment and ecological livable environment’,following the research framework of’process-pattern-trend-impact’,constructs an evaluation index system for the livable environment for the elderly.Entropy weight-TOPSIS evaluation model,coupling coordination degree model,center of gravity and standard deviation ellipse model and the geographic detector model were used starting from the evolution of coupling coordination types to study the spatial and temporal pattern and dynamic trend characteristics and influencing factors of internal coupling coordination types in the livable environment system for the elderly from2010 to 2019.The results showed that:1)The coordinated development of life service environment system and ecological livable environment system(LE)and socioeconomic environment system and ecological livable environment system(SE)in the livable environment for the elderly decreased from the intermediate coordination level coordination areas to the low-level quality improvement and optimization areas:coordinated transition type.The overall development level of life service environment system and socioeconomic environment system(LS)was low,and it was always at a low level.2)The coupling degree of livable environment system for the elderly was high,the coupling coordination type shown a gradually decreasing layer structure with Zhejiang,Beijing and Guangdong high-level leading demonstration areas as the axis belt.3)The coupling coordination center of the elderly livable environment system was located in Henan,and the standard deviation ellipse was distributed in the northeast-southwest direction.The development center and the ellipse of the high-level leading demonstration areas and the intermediate coordination level areas were concentrated in the central and eastern regions,while the low-level coordination areas for improving quality and efficiency are mainly located in the western region.4)Urban development,green facilities,infrastructure,government macroscopic regulation and control,economic stimulus,and housing construction were all important factors affecting the coordinated development of the livable environment system for the elderly,exerting a varying degree of effect on the level of coordinated development of various types of systems. 展开更多

Based on the comparative analysis of the coupling mechanism between finance,economy and ecological environment,this paper uses the coupling coordination degree and grey prediction model to measure the comprehensive evaluation value and coupling coordination degree of the financial,economic and ecological environment composite system of five provinces along the Silk Road in China from 2010 to 2019,and analyzes the evolution law of the coupling and coordinated development of finance,economy and ecological environment from the perspective of system coordinated development.The results show that:(1)The development of the financial and economic systems of the provinces along the Silk Road shows a relatively continuous and stable good trend,while the development of the ecosystem shows more obvious fluctuations.(2)In general,the overall level of the comprehensive evaluation of each system in the provinces along the route has shown a trend of improvement,but the level is not high.(3)During the investigation by provinces,it is found that the coordination level of the coupling coordination degree of finance,economy and ecological environment of each province is in three stages:moderate disorder,mild disorder,and imminent imbalance.However,Shaanxi Province has changed from imminent imbalance to barely coordination earlier,which indicates that there is regional heterogeneity in the three coupling coordination relationships among regions.(4)According to the calculation of the gray GM(1,1)model,the coupling coordination degree in Shaanxi Province will maintain a good upward trend and reach a intermediate coordination stage in 2023,while the other provinces will enter the barely coordination and primary coordination stages respectively with a slightly slower growth rate.Finally,based on the research conclusions,this paper puts forward some effective policy recommendations for the coordinated development of regional finance,economy and ecological environment,such as dredging the diffusion channels of regional financial resources,guiding market funds to participate in ecological project construction,and advocating the development of circular economy. 展开更多

The subsystems can be coupled to a pure state or a thermal equilibrium state spin-star environment. Our results show that, in the case of the coupling strength being less than the energy level difference of the subsystems (weakly coupled), the spin-star environment can always be used to assist the entanglement generation of the bipartite system. 展开更多

Taking the Hexi Corridor in western China as an example, this paper studies the interactive intimate i relation between urbanization and the environment in arid areas based on the grey system theory. The results show that the grey relational degree between urbanization and the environment is low in the agriculture-oriented cities, modest in the tour- ism-oriented cities and great in the industry-oriented cities. The changing trend of coupling degree between urbanization and the environment does not entirely agree with that of urbanization or the environment. It showed fluctuating trends, which reflects the compactness and properties of the different stages of the coupling states between urbanization and the environment. In order to achieve a harmonious development with the environment in arid areas, traditional development ideas about urbanization should be revised and more attention should be paid to the effect of restriction of water resources and the ecological environment on the development of the economy and society. 展开更多

在构建乡村旅游与农村人居环境评价指标体系的基础上,运用层次分析法、耦合协调度模型等定量分析山西省11个地级市乡村旅游与农村人居环境的耦合协调关系,运用障碍度模型对其耦合协调关系的障碍因子进行诊断。结果表明:(1)各地级市乡村... 在构建乡村旅游与农村人居环境评价指标体系的基础上,运用层次分析法、耦合协调度模型等定量分析山西省11个地级市乡村旅游与农村人居环境的耦合协调关系,运用障碍度模型对其耦合协调关系的障碍因子进行诊断。结果表明:(1)各地级市乡村旅游水平、农村人居环境水平的区域差距较大,且二者之间存在明显的空间错位。(2)晋中、临汾和运城为中度耦合协调级乡村旅游领先型,晋城、长治和吕梁为中度耦合协调级同步型,太原和阳泉为中度耦合协调级乡村旅游滞后型,忻州和大同为勉强耦合协调级同步型,朔州为初级耦合协调级乡村旅游滞后型。(3)基础设施、公共服务、产业机构是限制山西省乡村旅游与农村人居环境耦合协调发展的关键障碍因子,且7个维度的障碍分布状况差异较大,各地级市的关键障碍因子并不一致。(4)山西省今后应加强基础设施建设、提升公共服务水平和优化乡村旅游供给,并结合各区域的耦合协调关系及障碍因子状况,采取合理措施推动乡村旅游与农村人居环境持续协调发展。 展开更多

绿色金融与大气环境耦合协调发展是经济可持续发展的一个重要问题,也是雄安新区建设绿色之城的前提和保障。以雄安新区为研究对象,构建绿色金融与大气环境综合评价的指标体系,运用熵权TOPSIS法、耦合度模型、协调度模型和相对发展度模型... 绿色金融与大气环境耦合协调发展是经济可持续发展的一个重要问题,也是雄安新区建设绿色之城的前提和保障。以雄安新区为研究对象,构建绿色金融与大气环境综合评价的指标体系,运用熵权TOPSIS法、耦合度模型、协调度模型和相对发展度模型,研究了2018年1季度至2021年4季度雄安新区绿色金融与大气环境耦合协调的时空演变。研究表明:(1)从时间层面来看,雄安新区绿色金融和大气环境综合指数呈现波动上升的趋势,两系统耦合度处于0.193~0.862之间,其相互影响逐渐增强;协调度水平从0.227增长到0.697,进入初级协调等级;相对发展度大幅上升,但整体上仍处于绿色金融发展滞后的阶段,绿色金融对大气环境的支撑力度还有待加强。(2)从空间层面来看,雄安新区绿色金融与大气环境耦合度、协调度和相对发展度总体水平均高于其周边绝大多数区县,雄安新区的设立与建设极大促进了该地区绿色金融与大气环境的协调发展。 展开更多

城市生态环境问题日益突出,如何构建多功能耦合的绿地生态网络格局是促进人居环境可持续发展的重要议题。以成都市为研究区,基于“源-汇”理论,综合运用形态学空间格局分析(Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis,MSPA)、景观连通性... 城市生态环境问题日益突出,如何构建多功能耦合的绿地生态网络格局是促进人居环境可持续发展的重要议题。以成都市为研究区,基于“源-汇”理论,综合运用形态学空间格局分析(Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis,MSPA)、景观连通性指数、电路理论等方法对生物多样性保护、热环境改善、游憩服务构建单因子网络,分析源地、廊道、生态战略点等空间要素特征,形成基于“生态-气候适应性-游憩”多层级、多功能复合生态网络优化格局。结果表明:(1)筛选出“源”-“汇”景观(生态159—29个,气候适应性30—14个,游憩208—40个)。生物迁徙廊道在研究区中部、西南部呈团簇状分布;气候适应性廊道呈中部集聚、东西稀疏的分布特征;游憩廊道相对密集,以中心城区为核心向四周扩散。(2)多层级“源-汇”景观网络中,总长度上,游憩廊道>生物迁徙廊道>气候适应性廊道;总面积上,生物迁徙廊道>游憩廊道>气候适应性廊道。一、二级廊道的适宜宽度为生态廊道200、100m,气候适应性廊道100、60m;游憩廊道60、30m。(3)叠加多目标廊道获得生态关键点753个,干扰点2371个。游憩源地中8.18%的面积应退让给生态廊道和气候适应性廊道。多功能耦合的生态网络优化格局可激活不同景观资源的潜在价值,对协调生态保护与城市发展的双向需求,实现绿地资源在城市空间中的最优配置具有重要意义。 展开更多

上海大都市圈城镇化与生态环境耦合协调关系--基于2011-2020年面板数据的实证分析

【目的】研究都市圈城镇化与生态环境耦合协调的交互关系,旨在探索区域经济、社会与生态的高质量发展路径,为区域协同规划和可持续发展提供新视角。【方法】从“人口–社会–经济–空间”和“规模–压力–治理–效率”8个维度构建城镇... 【目的】研究都市圈城镇化与生态环境耦合协调的交互关系,旨在探索区域经济、社会与生态的高质量发展路径,为区域协同规划和可持续发展提供新视角。【方法】从“人口–社会–经济–空间”和“规模–压力–治理–效率”8个维度构建城镇化与生态环境评价指标体系,以上海大都市圈为研究对象,以其涵盖的9个城市及上海市16个区为基本研究单元,基于2011—2020年的面板数据,运用耦合协调度模型,从城市和上海市辖区两个层面,在时间和空间两个维度,定量揭示上海大都市圈城镇化与生态环境耦合协调发展的时空分异特征。【结果】(1)2011—2020年,上海大都市圈城镇化与生态环境耦合协调发展度呈现出从“基本协调”向“优化协调”演进的积极态势,但各地区发展水平和步调不均衡,在空间分布上呈现差异性。(2)城市层面,以上海中心城区、苏州–无锡–南通以及舟山3个片区为中心辐射同步发展,呈现多片区发展的空间格局。(3)上海市辖区层面,上海市中心城区耦合协调度水平整体优于上海市郊区,呈两极分化格局。【结论】2011—2020年,上海大都市圈城镇化与生态环境耦合协调度稳步上升,但各地区差异较大,且空间分布不均衡。面对城镇化发展与生态环境建设错位的问题,本研究提出基于系统耦合协调视角的差异化国土空间规划和区域协同发展策略,为都市圈的高质量健康发展提供参考。 展开更多
