Lime(CaO)and sodium humate(NaHA)were used as the combined depressant for arsenopyrite pre-treated by CuSO_(4) and butyl xanthate.Micro-flotation tests show that the combined depressant CaO and NaHA achieved the select...Lime(CaO)and sodium humate(NaHA)were used as the combined depressant for arsenopyrite pre-treated by CuSO_(4) and butyl xanthate.Micro-flotation tests show that the combined depressant CaO and NaHA achieved the selective depression of arsenopyrite.Closed-circuit lab-scale test results indicate that the synergistic effect of CaO+NaHA achieved a satisfactory flotation separation of sphalerite and arsenopyrite,for which the Zn grade and recovery of Zn concentrate were 51.21%and 92.21%,respectively.Contact angle measurements,adsorption amount measurements and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis indicate that the dissolved calcium species(mainly as Ca(2+))were adsorbed on the mineral surfaces,thereby promoting NaHA adsorption.Moreover,the surface of the arsenopyrite absorbed more amount of calcium species and NaHA than that of the sphalerite,thereby accounting for the strong hydrophilic surface of arsenopyrite.The adsorption of NaHA on arsenopyrite was mainly chemical adsorption through its carboxyl groups and Ca atoms,whereas that on sphalerite surface was relatively weak.展开更多
To evaluate the feasibility of recovering Pb and Zn sulfides and Ag-containing minerals from Zn leaching residue by the process of reduction roasting followed by flotation,the reaction behaviors of Pb and Zn sulfates ...To evaluate the feasibility of recovering Pb and Zn sulfides and Ag-containing minerals from Zn leaching residue by the process of reduction roasting followed by flotation,the reaction behaviors of Pb and Zn sulfates during this process were investigated.Chemical analysis showed that the transformation ratios of PbSO4 and ZnSO4 could reach 65.51%and 52.12%,respectively,after reduction roasting,and the introduction of a sulfidation agent could improve the transformation ratios of these sulfates.scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy(SEM-EDS)revealed that temperature obviously affects the particle size,crystal growth,and morphology of the artificial Pb and Zn sulfide minerals.Particle size analysis demonstrated that the particle size of the materials increases after roasting.Flotation tests revealed that a flotation concentrate composed of 12.01wt%Pb,27.78wt%Zn,and 6.975×10^(−2)wt%Ag with recoveries of 60.54%,29.24%,and 57.64%,respectively,could be obtained after roasting.展开更多
A new technique for the flotation separation of lead zinc iron sulfide ores has been developed and applied to several mills in China. It is characterized by the matching of relationships among pulp pH, pulp potential,...A new technique for the flotation separation of lead zinc iron sulfide ores has been developed and applied to several mills in China. It is characterized by the matching of relationships among pulp pH, pulp potential, flotation collector inside grinding mill. The flotation separation of galena and sphalerite has been accomplished without the addition of any conventional depressant of sphalerite such as zinc sulphate. Lime is used as a regulator and stabilizer of pulp pH and potential. Diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC), not xanthate, is determined as a collector for the selective flotation of galena from the Pb Zn Fe sulfide ores. The laboratory scale tests, the plant scale tests and the plant operations have all shown that the best separation results can be achieved at pH of 12.4~12.6, the pulp potential of 160~180 mV. The operation practice in the four plants has confirmed that compared with conventional flotation flowsheet, our new technology can greatly improve the flotation results, reduce the flotation time and the number of flotation cell, and increase the stability of operation and the adaptability to changes in ore properties. All these advantages have made this four plants more profitable.展开更多
