BACKGROUND The increased expression of G3BP1 was positively correlated with the prognosis of liver failure.AIM To investigate the effect of G3BP1 on the prognosis of acute liver failure(ALF)and acute-on-chronic liver ...BACKGROUND The increased expression of G3BP1 was positively correlated with the prognosis of liver failure.AIM To investigate the effect of G3BP1 on the prognosis of acute liver failure(ALF)and acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)after the treatment of artificial liver support system(ALSS).METHODS A total of 244 patients with ALF and ACLF were enrolled in this study.The levels of G3BP1 on admission and at discharge were detected.The validation set of 514 patients was collected to verify the predicted effect of G3BP1 and the viability of prognosis.RESULTS This study was shown that lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)and prothrombin time were closely related to the prognosis of patients.After the ALSS treatment,the patient’amount of decreased G3BP1 index in difference of G3BP1 between the value of discharge and admission(difG3BP1)<0 group had a nearly 10-fold increased risk of progression compared with the amount of increased G3BP1 index.The subgroup analysis showed that the difG3BP1<0 group had a higher risk of progression,regardless of model for end-stage liver disease high-risk or low-risk group.At the same time,compared with the inflam matory marks[tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-1βand IL-18],G3BP1 had higher discrimination and was more stable in the model analysis and validation set.When combined with AFP and LDH,concordance index was respectively 0.84 and 0.8 in training and validation cohorts.CONCLUSION This study indicated that G3BP1 could predict the prognosis of ALF or ACLF patients treated with ALSS.The combination of G3BP1,AFP and LDH could accurately evaluate the disease condition and predict the clinical endpoint of patients.展开更多

In Cameroon, little is known about what women do to overcome the psycho...Background: Infertility is a complex disorder with significant psycho-social and economic consequences. It globally affects 10% - 15% of couples. In Cameroon, little is known about what women do to overcome the psychosocial aspects of the disease. Objectives: This study aimed to identify the support systems and coping strategies of infertile women attending the outpatient consultation unit of the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery and Reproductive Teaching Hospital (CHRACERH), Yaoundé, Cameroon. Methods: A hospital-based cross-sectional study was conducted from the 14th of March to the 6th of April 2023 at CHRACERH Yaoundé. A total of 190 participants were recruited using a convenience sampling method. Data regarding socio-demographic characteristics, support systems and coping strategies were collected using a pretested questionnaire. Descriptive and analytic statistics were conducted using SPSS version 25. Results: The mean age of participants was 39.52 ± 7.64 years. The majority 78.9% of participants were workers (public, private sector, or traders) and were Christians 95.8%. The most common source of psychological support was from family 76.8 and husbands 72.63%. Most of the participants 89.5% resorted to prayer and getting busy 48.4% as a coping strategy. There was no statistically significant relationship between coping strategies and psychological disorders p > 0.05. Conclusion: The main support system of participants was family, husband, and friends. Prayer, getting busy and adoption were the most common coping strategies. There is a need for the Ministry of Public Health and other stakeholders to put in place other support systems and coping strategies (FELICIA) used elsewhere and provide adequate health education and infection control to prevent infertility in Cameroon.展开更多

Computer technology solutions, such as the Decision Support System, make the decision-making process less complex and simpler for problem-solving. In order to make a high-quality business decision, managers need to have a great deal of appropriate information. Nonetheless, this complicates the process of making appropriate decisions. In a situation like that, the possibility of using DSS is quite logical. The aim of this paper is to find out the intended use of DSS for medium and large business organizations in USA by applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Different models were developed in order to understand and predict the use of information systems, but the information systems community mostly used TAM to ensure this issue. The purpose of the research model is to determine the elements of analysis that contribute to these results. The sample for the research consisted of the target group that was supposed to have completed an online questionnaire about the manager’s use of DSS in medium and large American companies. The information obtained from the questionnaires was analyzed through the SPSS statistical software. In today’s digital era,e-healthcare systems exploit digital technologies and telecommunication devices such as mobile devices,computers and the inter-net to provide high-quality healthcare services.E-healthcare decis...In today’s digital era,e-healthcare systems exploit digital technologies and telecommunication devices such as mobile devices,computers and the inter-net to provide high-quality healthcare services.E-healthcare decision support sys-tems have been developed to optimize the healthcare services and enhance a patient’s health.These systems enable rapid access to the specialized healthcare services via reliable information,retrieved from the cases or the patient histories.This phenomenon reduces the time taken by the patients to physically visit the healthcare institutions.In the current research work,a new Shuffled Frog Leap Optimizer with Deep Learning-based Decision Support System(SFLODL-DSS)is designed for the diagnosis of the Cardiovascular Diseases(CVD).The aim of the proposed model is to identify and classify the cardiovascular diseases.The proposed SFLODL-DSS technique primarily incorporates the SFLO-based Feature Selection(SFLO-FS)approach for feature subset election.For the pur-pose of classification,the Autoencoder with Gated Recurrent Unit(AEGRU)model is exploited.Finally,the Bacterial Foraging Optimization(BFO)algorithm is employed tofine-tune the hyperparameters involved in the AEGRU method.To demonstrate the enhanced performance of the proposed SFLODL-DSS technique,a series of simulations was conducted.The simulation outcomes established the superiority of the proposed SFLODL-DSS technique as it achieved the highest accuracy of 98.36%.Thus,the proposed SFLODL-DSS technique can be exploited as a proficient tool in the future for the detection and classification of CVD.展开更多
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death around the globe.The treatment and survival rates among lung cancer patients are significantly impacted by early diagnosis.Most diagnostic techniques can identi...Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death around the globe.The treatment and survival rates among lung cancer patients are significantly impacted by early diagnosis.Most diagnostic techniques can identify and classify only one type of lung cancer.It is crucial to close this gap with a system that detects all lung cancer types.This paper proposes an intelligent decision support system for this purpose.This system aims to support the quick and early detection and classification of all lung cancer types and subtypes to improve treatment and save lives.Its algorithm uses a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)tool to perform deep learning and a Random Forest Algorithm(RFA)to help classify the type of cancer present using several extracted features,including histograms and energy.Numerous simulation experiments were conducted on MATLAB,evidencing that this system achieves 98.7%accuracy and over 98%precision and recall.A comparative assessment assessing accuracy,recall,precision,specificity,and F-score between the proposed algorithm and works from the literature shows that the proposed system in this study outperforms existing methods in all considered metrics.This study found that using CNNs and RFAs is highly effective in detecting lung cancer,given the high accuracy,precision,and recall results.These results lead us to believe that bringing this kind of technology to doctors diagnosing lung cancer is critical.展开更多

Various studies suggest Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) as an alternative practice for water management that reduces water use without significantly affecting yield. However, this practice has not been well adopted by the farmers despite its significant benefits of reduced total water use. Improving the adoption of AWD using irrigation Decision Support Systems (DSSs) helps the farmer on two fronts;to know “how much water to apply” and “when to irrigate”, which is very critical in maximizing productivity. This paper provides a review of the intrinsic and extrinsic factors affecting the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of cemented tailings backfill(CTB).The consideration is that once CTB is poured into underground stop...This paper provides a review of the intrinsic and extrinsic factors affecting the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of cemented tailings backfill(CTB).The consideration is that once CTB is poured into underground stopes,its strength is heavily influenced by factors internal to the CTB as well as the surrounding mining environments.Peer-reviewed journal articles,books,and conference papers published between 2000 and 2022 were searched electronically from various databases and reviewed.Additional sources,such as doctoral theses,were obtained from academic repositories.An important finding from the review is that the addition of fibers was reported to improve the UCS of CTB in some studies while decrease in others.This discrepancy was accounted to the different properties of fibers used.Further research is therefore needed to determine the“preferred”fiber to be used in CTB.Diverging findings were also reported on the effects of stope size on the UCS of CTB.Furthermore,the use of fly ash as an alternative binder may be threatened in the future when reliance on the coal power declines.Therefore,an alternative cementitious by-product to be used together with furnace slag may be required in the future.Finally,while most studies on backfill focused on single-layered structures,layered backfill design models should also be investigated.展开更多

[Result] The decision support system established in this study could predict whether a wheat variety could live through the winter in a certain area of northern Hebei Province, as well as the growth conditions based on the previous meteorological data or local weather forecast, and provided corresponding cultivation and management measures, making it possible for the user to determine whether the variety could be planted in the region based on the predictions. Therefore, a basic study of free surface grinding with a ball type wheel is carried out based on the grinding center (GC). Some working points for achieving sufficient accuracy in free surface grinding are discussed. GSX-F is constructed using the patch division method and is used to test grinding. In order to have a good understanding of the behavior of wet shotcrete as a support element interacting with the rock mass,mechanism of wet shotcrete interacting with rock in support systems was analyzed through theor...In order to have a good understanding of the behavior of wet shotcrete as a support element interacting with the rock mass,mechanism of wet shotcrete interacting with rock in support systems was analyzed through theoretical,numerical study and analytical analysis.A new model of distribution of rock stress state after wet shotcrete was applied,which includes shotcrete layer,composite layer,strengthening layer,plastic layer and elastic layer,and a full illustration of the rock mass stress state was given after shotcrete interacting with rock mass.At the same time,numerical analysis with FLAC gives a stress distribution along the monitor line,respectively,at the sidewall and roof of the tunnel.The displacement obviously decreases with the depth of rock,the tangential stress for tunnel supported by shotcrete is lower than that without shotcrete,and radial stress for tunnel supported by shotcrete is higher than that without shotcrete.It has been demonstrated by AIRY'S stress function,which gives a reasonable solution.Finally,the application of wet shotcrete in Jinfeng Gold Mine shows that the displacement of tunnel decreases obviously in sidewall and roof.展开更多
AIM: To establish a method detecting porcine endogenous retrovirus (PERV) in China experimental minipigs and to evaluate the safety of PERV in three individuals treated with bioartificial liver support systems base...AIM: To establish a method detecting porcine endogenous retrovirus (PERV) in China experimental minipigs and to evaluate the safety of PERV in three individuals treated with bioartificial liver support systems based on porcine hepatocytes. METHODS: Porcine hepatocytes were isolated with two-stage perfusion method, then cultured in the bioreactor, which is separated by a semipermeable membrane (0.2μm) from the lumen through which the patients' blood plasma was circulated. After posthemoperfusion, patients' blood was obtained for screening. Additionally, samples of medium collected from both intraluminal and extraluminal compartments of the laboratory bioreactor and culture supernate in vitro was analyzed. The presence of viral sequences was estimated by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR). Finally, the infection of virus in the supernate of common culture was ascertained by exposure to the fetal liver cells. RESULTS: PERV-specific gag sequences were found in the porcine hepatocytes using RT-PCR. and were detected in all samples from the intraluminal, extraluminal samples and culture supernate. However, culture supernatant from primary porcine hepatocytes (cleared of cellular debris) failed to infect human fetal liver cells. Finally, RT-PCR detected no PERV infection was found in the blood samples obtained from three patients at various times post-hemoperfusion. CONCLUSION: The assays used are specific and sensitive, identified by second PCR. PERVs could be released from hepatocytes cultured in bioreactor without the stimulation of mitogen and could not be prevented by the hollow fiber semipermeable membrane, indicating the existence of PERV safety in extracorporeal bioartificial liver support system (EBLSS).展开更多

文摘In today’s digital era,e-healthcare systems exploit digital technologies and telecommunication devices such as mobile devices,computers and the inter-net to provide high-quality healthcare services.E-healthcare decision support sys-tems have been developed to optimize the healthcare services and enhance a patient’s health.These systems enable rapid access to the specialized healthcare services via reliable information,retrieved from the cases or the patient histories.This phenomenon reduces the time taken by the patients to physically visit the healthcare institutions.In the current research work,a new Shuffled Frog Leap Optimizer with Deep Learning-based Decision Support System(SFLODL-DSS)is designed for the diagnosis of the Cardiovascular Diseases(CVD).The aim of the proposed model is to identify and classify the cardiovascular diseases.The proposed SFLODL-DSS technique primarily incorporates the SFLO-based Feature Selection(SFLO-FS)approach for feature subset election.For the pur-pose of classification,the Autoencoder with Gated Recurrent Unit(AEGRU)model is exploited.Finally,the Bacterial Foraging Optimization(BFO)algorithm is employed tofine-tune the hyperparameters involved in the AEGRU method.To demonstrate the enhanced performance of the proposed SFLODL-DSS technique,a series of simulations was conducted.The simulation outcomes established the superiority of the proposed SFLODL-DSS technique as it achieved the highest accuracy of 98.36%.Thus,the proposed SFLODL-DSS technique can be exploited as a proficient tool in the future for the detection and classification of CVD.

文摘Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death around the globe.The treatment and survival rates among lung cancer patients are significantly impacted by early diagnosis.Most diagnostic techniques can identify and classify only one type of lung cancer.It is crucial to close this gap with a system that detects all lung cancer types.This paper proposes an intelligent decision support system for this purpose.This system aims to support the quick and early detection and classification of all lung cancer types and subtypes to improve treatment and save lives.Its algorithm uses a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)tool to perform deep learning and a Random Forest Algorithm(RFA)to help classify the type of cancer present using several extracted features,including histograms and energy.Numerous simulation experiments were conducted on MATLAB,evidencing that this system achieves 98.7%accuracy and over 98%precision and recall.A comparative assessment assessing accuracy,recall,precision,specificity,and F-score between the proposed algorithm and works from the literature shows that the proposed system in this study outperforms existing methods in all considered metrics.This study found that using CNNs and RFAs is highly effective in detecting lung cancer,given the high accuracy,precision,and recall results.These results lead us to believe that bringing this kind of technology to doctors diagnosing lung cancer is critical.
文摘Irrigation in lowland rice production systems in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) is mainly based on traditional surface irrigation methods with continuous flooding practices. This irrigation method ends up using a lot more water that would have otherwise been used to open more land and be used in other water-requiring sectors. Various studies suggest Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) as an alternative practice for water management that reduces water use without significantly affecting yield. However, this practice has not been well adopted by the farmers despite its significant benefits of reduced total water use. Improving the adoption of AWD using irrigation Decision Support Systems (DSSs) helps the farmer on two fronts;to know “how much water to apply” and “when to irrigate”, which is very critical in maximizing productivity. This paper reviews the applicability of DSSs using AWD in lowland rice production systems in Sub-Saharan Africa.
文摘Stroke is characterized by high incidence,high recurrence,high disability,and high morbidity and mortality in China,resulting in a heavy social and clinical burden.A clinical decision support system,as an intelli-gent computer system,can assist nurses in decision-mak-ing to collect information quickly,make the most suitable personalized decisions for patients,and improve nurses’decision-making judgment and quality of care.Promoting the development and application of decision support sys-tems in stroke nursing significantly enhances the nursing staff’s work quality and patients’prognosis.Therefore,this paper reviews the research progress of domestic and international clinical decision support systems in stroke nursing care to provide other researchers with specific research directions for developing and applying decision support systems in stroke nursing care.

From our experience which comes out of the project of DSSG, we consider that they are keys of further research and development of DSS.
文摘This paper provides a review of the intrinsic and extrinsic factors affecting the uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)of cemented tailings backfill(CTB).The consideration is that once CTB is poured into underground stopes,its strength is heavily influenced by factors internal to the CTB as well as the surrounding mining environments.Peer-reviewed journal articles,books,and conference papers published between 2000 and 2022 were searched electronically from various databases and reviewed.Additional sources,such as doctoral theses,were obtained from academic repositories.An important finding from the review is that the addition of fibers was reported to improve the UCS of CTB in some studies while decrease in others.This discrepancy was accounted to the different properties of fibers used.Further research is therefore needed to determine the“preferred”fiber to be used in CTB.Diverging findings were also reported on the effects of stope size on the UCS of CTB.Furthermore,the use of fly ash as an alternative binder may be threatened in the future when reliance on the coal power declines.Therefore,an alternative cementitious by-product to be used together with furnace slag may be required in the future.Finally,while most studies on backfill focused on single-layered structures,layered backfill design models should also be investigated.

文摘In order to solve existing problems about the method of establishing traditional system structure of decision support system(DSS), O S chart is applied to describe object oriented system structure of general DSS, and a new method of eight specific steps is proposed to establish object oriented system structure of DSS by using the method of O S chart, which is applied successfully to the development of the DSS for the energy system ecology engineering research of the Wangheqiu country. Supplying many scientific effective computing models, decision support ways and a lot of accurate reliable decision data, the DSS plays a critical part in helping engineering researchers to make correct decisions. Because the period for developing the DSS is relatively shorter, the new way improves the efficiency of establishing DSS greatly. It also makes the DSS of system structure more flexible and easy to expand.

文摘The concept of organization decision support system (ODSS) is defined according to practical applications and novel understanding. And a framework for ODSS is designed. The framework has three components: infrastructure, decision-making process and decision execution process. Infrastructure is responsible to transfer data and information. Decision-making process is the ODSS's soul to support decision-making. Decision execution process is to evaluate and execute decision results derived from decision-making process. The framework presents a kind of logic architecture. An example is given to verify and analyze the framework. The analysis shows that the framework has practical values, and has also reference values for understanding ODSS and for theoretical studies.

文摘[Objective] This study was to provide methods to improve the scientificity and informatization level of agricultural decision-making system based on the study of Decision Support System for "Northing of Winter Wheat" in Hebei Province (DSS- NWWH). [Method] The functions, development process, operation guidance as well as input and output modes of DSSNWWH were introduced, and the simulated results of the system were verified by comparing with the actual situations. [Result] The decision support system established in this study could predict whether a wheat variety could live through the winter in a certain area of northern Hebei Province, as well as the growth conditions based on the previous meteorological data or local weather forecast, and provided corresponding cultivation and management measures, making it possible for the user to determine whether the variety could be planted in the region based on the predictions. [Conclusion] The established DSSNWWH in this study can effectively help decision makers make decisions, providing scientific instructions for the northing of winter wheat.
文摘To obtain accurate forms and surfaces in free surface grinding, it is important to provide grinding conditions suitable for a curved surface. A grinding support system for the free surface (GSX-F) is proposed to help the operator grind a free surface with the high accuracy and the high productivity. To succeed in free surface grinding, the property of a ball type wheel must be known. Therefore, a basic study of free surface grinding with a ball type wheel is carried out based on the grinding center (GC). Some working points for achieving sufficient accuracy in free surface grinding are discussed. GSX-F is constructed using the patch division method and is used to test grinding. Reasonable results are obtained.

文摘In order to have a good understanding of the behavior of wet shotcrete as a support element interacting with the rock mass,mechanism of wet shotcrete interacting with rock in support systems was analyzed through theoretical,numerical study and analytical analysis.A new model of distribution of rock stress state after wet shotcrete was applied,which includes shotcrete layer,composite layer,strengthening layer,plastic layer and elastic layer,and a full illustration of the rock mass stress state was given after shotcrete interacting with rock mass.At the same time,numerical analysis with FLAC gives a stress distribution along the monitor line,respectively,at the sidewall and roof of the tunnel.The displacement obviously decreases with the depth of rock,the tangential stress for tunnel supported by shotcrete is lower than that without shotcrete,and radial stress for tunnel supported by shotcrete is higher than that without shotcrete.It has been demonstrated by AIRY'S stress function,which gives a reasonable solution.Finally,the application of wet shotcrete in Jinfeng Gold Mine shows that the displacement of tunnel decreases obviously in sidewall and roof.

文摘AIM: To establish a method detecting porcine endogenous retrovirus (PERV) in China experimental minipigs and to evaluate the safety of PERV in three individuals treated with bioartificial liver support systems based on porcine hepatocytes. METHODS: Porcine hepatocytes were isolated with two-stage perfusion method, then cultured in the bioreactor, which is separated by a semipermeable membrane (0.2μm) from the lumen through which the patients' blood plasma was circulated. After posthemoperfusion, patients' blood was obtained for screening. Additionally, samples of medium collected from both intraluminal and extraluminal compartments of the laboratory bioreactor and culture supernate in vitro was analyzed. The presence of viral sequences was estimated by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR). Finally, the infection of virus in the supernate of common culture was ascertained by exposure to the fetal liver cells. RESULTS: PERV-specific gag sequences were found in the porcine hepatocytes using RT-PCR. and were detected in all samples from the intraluminal, extraluminal samples and culture supernate. However, culture supernatant from primary porcine hepatocytes (cleared of cellular debris) failed to infect human fetal liver cells. Finally, RT-PCR detected no PERV infection was found in the blood samples obtained from three patients at various times post-hemoperfusion. CONCLUSION: The assays used are specific and sensitive, identified by second PCR. PERVs could be released from hepatocytes cultured in bioreactor without the stimulation of mitogen and could not be prevented by the hollow fiber semipermeable membrane, indicating the existence of PERV safety in extracorporeal bioartificial liver support system (EBLSS).
