It tends to attack repeatedly, and is difficult to be cured. In recent years, some studies have shown that effective traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) nursing interventions on the wheezing disease can significantly ameliorate the treatment compliance of patients, reduce the attack and improve the quality of life. Therefore,it is important for patients with different patterns of syndrome to receive effective and reasonable TCMnursing intervention. This article mainly explored the key points of common syndromes,TCMnursing methods and health guidance of wheezing disease in order to further develop the advantages of TCM,improve its efficacy and standardized its nursing behavior.展开更多

The main treatment of western medicine for vulvar leukoplakia is the external use of glucocorticoids or estrogen, resulting to the high recurrence rate and side effects. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has the characteristics of the overall concept and dialectical treatment with a variety of ways. Literature review in recent years found that the treatment of TCM decoction combined with external therapies, such as external fumigation, acupuncture and other treatments, or the combination of TCM decoction and external western medicine hormone ointment, can obtain good effects in vulvar leukoplakia. During the clinical practice, we found that the use of TCM internally and externally combined with auricular acupuncture point bloodletting was highly effective with unique advantages in the treatment of vulvar leukoplakia, providing the ideas guidance for clinicians.展开更多

METHODS Sixteen chronic gastritis with Piweixuhan (PXG, the cold of insufficiency syndrome of the spleen and the stomach) and fifteen chronic gastritis with Ganweibuhe (GBG, incoordination syndrome of the liver and the stomach) were treated with Jianpiwenwei decoction (JWD, invigorating the spleen and warming the stomach) and Shuganhewei decoction (SHD, dispersing the stagnated Liver Qi and regulating the stomach) for three months. Before and after treatment, the gastroscopy was performed and gastric mucosa were collected from the lesser curvature of the antrum and the body in each patient, the ultrasections were made by the conventional method and observed and photographed under the JEM 100CX electron microscope. RESULTS The common ultrastructural anomalies of the two types in chronic gastritis were the plasmacyte infiltration and the lesions of the mucosal epithelial cells, chief cells and antral mucous cells with widely various degrees. But there was a obvious difference between the two types. In PXG, the predominant lesion of the chief cells was swelling of the mitochondria (Mi), while in GBG, of the chief cells and the plasmacytes was dilation of rough endoplasmic reticulum (rER). After treatment, the ultrastructural lesions in most cases were reverted to normal or improved obviously. CONCLUSION There was a close relationship between the ultrastructural changes of gastric mucosa and the syndrome differentiation of chronic gastritis. JWD and SHD could significantly improve the ultrastructural lesions of gastric mucosa.展开更多

About 4%-12% of women are currently estimated to have this condition. It is hypothesized that PCOS appears in women who have long-standing insulin resistance (1R), which leads to high androgen and testosterone levels; this ultimately disrupts their menstrual cycles. Some researchers attribute IR to genetic factors, although there have been only minute changes in the human genome in the past 20 000 years. However, even with a stable gene pool, genes can be turned on and offby the environment, food and air quality and toxin exposure.展开更多

The advantages of using TCM for treatment of liver diseases include: protecting hepatocytes, inhibiting hepatic inflammation and antifibrosis in the liver. In this article, we introduce TCM herbal preparations from the Chinese materia medica (such as Fuzheng Huayu) that are typically used for the treatment of liver diseases. Literature surrounding the mechanisms of TCM therapy for treatment of liver diseases is presented and discussed. We propose that side effects of herbal compounds are often under-appreciated, and that more care should be taken in the prescription of potentially hepatotoxic medicines. Further, to deepen the understanding of TCM mechanisms, new techniques and methodologies must be developed. Future studies will lead to the enhancement of clinical outcomes of TCM. As complementary and alternative therapies, TCMs will play an expanding role in the future of liver disease treatment.展开更多
