Influence of Anteroposterior Symmetrical Aero-Wings on the Aerodynamic Performance of High-Speed Train

The running stability of high-speed train is largely constrained by the wheel-rail coupling relationship,and the continuous wear between the wheel and rail surfaces will profoundly affect the dynamic performance of the train.In recent years,under the background of increasing train speed,some scientific researchers have proposed a new idea of using the lift force generated by the aerodynamic wings(aero-wing)installed on the roof to reduce the sprung load of the carriage in order to alleviate the wear and tear of the wheel and rail.Based on the bidirectional running characteristics of high-speed train,this paper proposes a scheme to apply aero-wings with anteroposterior symmetrical cross-sections on the roof of the train.After the verification of the wind tunnel experimental data,the relatively better airfoil section and extension formof anteroposterior symmetrical aero-wing is selected respectively in this paper,and the aero-wings are fixedly connected to the roof of the train through the mounting column to conduct aerodynamic simulation analysis.The research shows that:compared with the circular-arc and oval crosssections,this paper believes that the crescent cross-section can form greater aerodynamic lift force in a limited space.Considering factors such as aerodynamic parameters,ground effect,and manufacturing process,this paper proposes to adopt aero-wings with arc type extension form and connect them to the roof of the train through mounting columns with shuttle cross-section.When the roof of the train is covered with aero-wings and runs at high speed,the sprung load of the carriages can be effectively reduced.However,there are certain hidden dangers in the tail carriage due to the large amount of lift force,so,the intervention of the aero-wing lifting mechanism is required.At the same time,it is necessary to optimize the overall aerodynamic drag force reduction in the followup work. 展开更多

In order to solve the problems of rotor overvoltage,overcurrent and DC side voltage rise caused by grid voltage drops,a coordinated control strategy based on symmetrical and asymmetrical low voltage ride through of rotor side converter of the doubly-fed generator is proposed.When the power grid voltage drops symmetrically,the generator approximate equation under steady-state conditions is no longer applicable.Considering the dynamic process of stator current excitation,according to the change of stator flux and the depth of voltage drop,the system can dynamically provide reactive power support for parallel nodes and suppress the rise of DC side voltage and rotor over-current.When the grid voltage drops asymmetrically,the positive and negative sequence components are separated in the rotating coordinate system.The doubly fed generator model is established to suppress the rotor positive sequence current and negative sequence current respectively.At the same time,the output voltage limit of the converter is discussed,and the reference value is adjusted within the allowable output voltage range.In order to adapt to the occurrence of different types of power grid faults and complex operating conditions,a fast switching module of fault type detection and rotor control mode is designed to detect the type of power grid faults and voltage drop depth in real time and switch the rotor side control mode dynamically.Finally,the simulation model of the doubly fed wind turbine is constructed in Matlab/Simulink.The simulation results verify that the proposed control strategy can improve the low-voltage ride through performance of the system when dealing with the symmetrical and asymmetric voltage drop of the power grid and identify the power grid fault type and provide the correct control strategy. 展开更多

This article delivers a robust overview of potential electrode materials for use in symmetrical solid oxide fuel cells(S-SOFCs),a relatively new SOFC technology.To this end,this article provides a comprehensive review of recent advances and progress in electrode materials for S-SOFC,discussing both the selection of materials and the challenges that come with making that choice.This article discussed the relevant factors involved in developing electrodes with nano/microstructure.Nanocomposites,e.g.,non-cobalt and lithiated materials,are only a few of the electrode types now being researched.Furthermore,the phase structure and microstructure of the produced materials are heavily influenced by the synthesis procedure.Insights into the possibilities and difficulties of the material are discussed.To achieve the desired microstructural features,this article focuses on a synthesis technique that is either the most recent or a better iteration of an existing process.The portion of this analysis that addresses the risks associated with manufacturing and the challenges posed by materials when fabricating S-SOFCs is the most critical.This article also provides important and useful recommendations for the strategic design of electrode materials researchers. 展开更多

Recently, thanks to its advantages, the Lyon transformation is also applied to power network calculation. In this paper, time-dependent symmetrical components are used to study the dynamic analysis of asymmetrical faults in a power system. The Lyon approach allows the calculation of the maximum values of overvoltages and overcurrents under transient conditions and to study network under non-sinusoidal conditions. Prediction of Symmetrical and Asymmetrical of Diurnal Global Solar Irradiance Distribution—New Approach

A simple formula to predict the received global solar irradiance q(t), W/m2 for clear days is suggested on pure theoretical basis. It is expressed in terms of the length of the local day time td which is well defined in literatures on meteorological basis. The introduced distribution is also a function of the maximum value of the daily received irradiance qmax. which in turn is expressed in term of the solar constant. This renders the trial to be a closed system. Thus the obtained distribution is not a semi empirical one. Both cases of symmetrical and asymmetrical distributions for q(t) are considered. For its simplicity it can be easily integrated along the length of the day to get the daily totals of solar energy received by unit horizontal area. This is important for practical applications. Comparison between computed according to the present model and published experimental meteorological data in Barcelona (Spain), Hong Kong (China), Jeddah and Makkah (Saudi Arabia) is given as illustrative examples. Better fitting relative to the published trials for the same locations are obtained. The introduced model itself gives good fitting for the intermediate intervals points of the local day time which is the more effective region. The estimated relative error is 12% for Hong Kong, and it is 7% for Barcelona, Jeddah and Makah. 展开更多

We report a case of remitting seronegative symmetrical synovitis with pitting edema(RS3 PE) syndrome in a 71-year-old woman. She referred to our hospital with finger stiffness, edema of both hands and feet, pain of bilateral shoulder, wrist, metacarpophalangeal, proximal interphalangeal, and ankle joints. Rheumatoid factor was negative, human leukocyte antigen-B7 antigen was positive. Moreover, matrix metalloproteinase 3(MMP-3) was high. She was diagnosed with RS3 PE syndrome, and treatment with prednisolone(15 mg/d) was started. One week after prednisolone treatment initiation, CRP decreased to negative, and joint pain was almost completely resolved. However, hand stiffness persisted, and MMP-3 level was still high. Thus, prednisolone dose was increased to 20 mg/d, and the stiffness resolved. Twenty days after treatment initiation, MMP-3 was normalized. MMP-3 was more indicative of RS3 PE syndrome symptoms than CRP. Thus, MMP-3 seems to be more sensitive to RS3 PE syndrome symptoms. 展开更多

The present paper is exposed theoretically to the influence on the dynamic stress intensity factor(DSIF) in the piezoelectric bi-materials model with two symmetrically permeable interfacial cracks near the edges of a circular cavity, subjected to the dynamic incident anti-plane shearing wave(SH-wave). An available theoretical method to dynamic analysis in the related research field is provided. The formulations are based on Green's function method. The DSIFs at the inner and outer tips of the left crack are obtained by solving the boundary value problems with the conjunction and cracksimulation technique. The numerical results are obtained by the FORTRAN language program and plotted to show the influence of the variations of the physical parameters,the structural geometry, and the wave frequencies of incident wave on the dimensionless DSIFs. Clarke’s matrix has been applied as a phase-mode transformation matrix to three-phase transmission lines substituting the eigenvector matrices. Considering symmetrical untransposed three-phase lines, an actual symmetrical three-phase line on untransposed conditions is associated with Clarke’s matrix for error and frequency scan analyses in this paper. Error analyses are calculated for the eigenvalue diagonal elements obtained from Clarke’s matrix. The eigenvalue off-diagonal elements from the Clarke’s matrix application are compared to the correspondent exact eigenvalues. Based on the characteristic impedance and propagation function values, the frequency scan analyses show that there are great differences between the Clarke’s matrix results and the exact ones, considering frequency values from 10 kHz to 1 MHz. A correction procedure is applied obtaining two new transformation matrices. These matrices lead to good approximated results when compared to the exact ones. With the correction procedure applied to Clarke’s matrix, the relative values of the eigenvalue matrix off-diagonal element obtained from Clarke’s matrix are decreased while the frequency scan results are improved. The steps of correction procedure application are detailed, investigating the influence of each step on the obtained two new phase-mode transformation matrices. 展开更多

The anomalous precession of the perihelion of orbital stars or planets can be explained with the same results as given by general relativity. By introducing an effective mass for photons, the gravity-induced frequency shift and light deflection in the trajectory by the gravity are derived, which can be reduced to the results based on general relativity under special conditions. The gravity-induced time delay of radar signals and gravitational radiations from binary pulsars are analyzed. Using the transfer matrix method approach (TMM), the present paper attempts to determine the optical properties of quasi-periodic symmetric one-dimensional photonic systems. In addition, it studies hybrid hetero-structure systems constructed by using periodic and quasi-periodic multilayer systems. The effect of symmetry applied to symmetric multilayer systems results in the appearance of optical windows at the photonic band gaps (PBG) of the system. The use of hybrid symmetric systems, at normal incidence in the visible range, show that the complete photonic band gap is the sum of bands from individual systems. The results show also that the width of the PBG depends on the parameters and nature of the built system. 展开更多

This study developed a new technology for preparing high-chromium cast iron(HCCI)/low-carbon steel(LCS)wear-resistant composite plates by hot rolling at a 1050°C and a rolling speed of 0.2 m/s.The effects of different rolling reductions(30%,45%,and 60%)on the microstructure(interface and HCCI layer)and mechanical properties(bonding strength,hardness,and wear resistance)of the composite plate were studied.SEM images showed that when the reduction was increased,no impurities and interlayers were found between the microscopic interfaces after hot rolling,and the bonding interface exhibited a wave-like shape.EDS analysis showed that the Cr element diffusion between two metals after hot rolling was promoted when the reduction was increased,thereby improving the bonding quality under the same rolling temperature and rolling speed.Experiments showed that due to the stress release effect of the LCS of the cladded layer,the macro-slab shape after hot rolling performed well,and the brittle HCCI layer underwent thermoplastic deformation without cracking.Moreover,the increase of rolling reduction improved the bonding quality.As the rolling reduction was increased,the volume fraction of Cr-carbides in the HCCI layer also increased,resulting in an increase of hardness and wear-resistance. 展开更多

This paper treats the symmetrical bending of a uniformly loaded circular plate supported at k internal points.The boundary displacement and slope are expanded in Fourier seriesr.The method proposed by[6]is applied.As both the governing differential equation and boundary conditions are satisfied exactly,we therefore obtain the analytic expression of the transverse deflectional equation of the circular plate.This is an easy and effective methed. 展开更多
