The results obtained by the mathematical model agree with the data form experiment and numerical simulation, and the results are closer to the experimental and simulation results. The influence of draft angle may be neglected under the forming conditions used. The influence of fillet radius is notable, especially in the case that the ratio of fillet radius to rib width is less than 0.75.展开更多

Numerical simulations are carried out to investigate the mechanism of the nonlinear evolution of two- dimensional (2-D) Tollmien-Schlichting (T-S) wave on a localized rough boundary layer. The three-dimensional (...Numerical simulations are carried out to investigate the mechanism of the nonlinear evolution of two- dimensional (2-D) Tollmien-Schlichting (T-S) wave on a localized rough boundary layer. The three-dimensional (3-D) numerical solution of a base flow on a boundary layer is obtained for the localized rough wall with the local- ized ejection, the localized suction and the combination of ejection and suction. Based on numerical simulations, the processes of stable and the most instable nonlinear evolution of the 2-D disturbance T-S wave are studied. The effects of the form on the localized roughness, the intensity, and the distribution structure on the nonlinear evolution of 2-D T-S wave and the growth rate are discussed. Results show that the basic flow induced by the lo- calized rough wall is a key factor causing the fast growth of the disturbance wave. Due to the change of the aver- age flow profile and the existence of the spanwise velocity, the localized rough wall enhances the instability of the flow. Consequently, the instable region of the neutral curve is enlargened, and the maximnum growth rate of the 2-D T-S wave is increased. In the process of the nonlinear evolution of 2-D disturbance T-S wave, with the in- crease of the nonlinear interaction, the most instable 2-D disturbance wave triggers the appearance of the 3-D dis- turbance wave and the high-frequency harmonic wave. Its streamwise wave number and the frequency are the same as those of 2-D disturbance wave. The spanwise velocity can excite the growth of the 2-D disturbance wave, the instability of 2-D wave, the formation of the streamwise vortex, and the generation of 3-D disturbance wave. Simulation results agree well with experimental results.展开更多

Experimental test schemes, failure modes of specimens, jack load-vertical displacement curves, jack load-deformation of chord and strain intensity distribution curves of joints were presented. The effects of β and connection types on axial compression property of joints were studied. The results show that the ultimate axial compression capacity of common bird beak SHS T-joints and diamond bird beak SHS T-joints is larger than that of traditional SHS T-joint specimens with big values of β. The ultimate axial compression capacity of diamond bird beak SHS T-joints is larger than that of common bird beak SHS T-joints. As β increases, the increase of the ultimate axial compression capacity of diamond bird beak SHS T-joints over that of common bird beak joints grows. The ultimate axial compression capacity and the initial axial stiffness of all kinds of joints increase as β increases, and the initial axial stiffness of the diamond bird beak SHS T-joints is the largest. The ductilities of common bird beak and diamond bird beak SHS T-joints increase as β increases, but the ductility of the traditional SHS T-joints decreases as β increases.展开更多
For the purpose of inventing a new seismic retrofitting method for the reinforced high strength concrete (HSC) T-section beam using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheet, three series, a total of twelve T-s...For the purpose of inventing a new seismic retrofitting method for the reinforced high strength concrete (HSC) T-section beam using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheet, three series, a total of twelve T-section beams with nine specimens confined by CFRP sheet in the plastic zone and three control beams were conducted up to failure under four-point bending test. The effectiveness of confining CFRP sheet on improving the flexural ductility of tmstrengthened T-section beams was studied. The parameters such as the width and the thickness of CFRP sheet and the type of T-section were analyzed. The experimental results show that ductility and rotation capacity of plastic hinge can be improved by the confinement of CFRP sheet, and the ductility indices increase with the increment of width and thickness of CFRP sheet. A plastic rotation model considering the width of CFRP sheet and the effect of flange of T-section beam is proposed on the basis of the model of BAKER, and the test results show a good agreement with the perdicted results. The relevant construction suggestions for seismic retrofitting design of beam-slabs system in cast-in-place framework structure are presented.展开更多

In this study, in addition to the vertical load of a vehicle wheel, the horizontal load as well as its position with respect to the crack is also considered in the analyses, and the crack tip parameters including stress intensity factors(SIFs) and T-stress are then calculated. Moreover, influence of elastic modulus and thickness of the pavement layers on the crack tip parameters is studied. Results show that the horizontal and vertical loads along with their position with respect to the crack, elastic modulus and thickness of the road layers influence the crack tip parameters(KⅠ, KⅡ and T-stress) significantly. It was also found that for the cases that the vehicle wheel is positioned near the crack plane, only the shear deformation mode is observed at the crack tip;while, for the vehicle wheel positions far from the crack, only the opening mode is observed, and between these positions, both the opening and shear deformation modes(i.e., mixed mode Ⅰ/Ⅱ) are observed at the crack tip.展开更多

Through video taping and data procession based on photogrammetry, the operating speeds of vehicles before and after the moment when flashing green started was compared using paired-samples T-test. The critical distances between go and stop decisions was defined through cumulative percentage curve. The boundary of dilemma zone was determined by comparing stop distance and travel distance.Amber-running violation was analyzed on the basis of the travel time to the stop line. And finally, a logistic model for stop and go decisions was constructed. The results shows that the stopping ratios of the first vehicles of west-bound and east-bound approaches are 41.3% and 39.8%, respectively; the amber-light running violation ratios of two approaches are 31.6% and 25.4%, respectively;the operating speed growth ratios of first vehicles selecting to cross intersection after the moment when flashing green started are26.7% and 17.7%, respectively; and the critical distances are 48 m and 46 m, respectively, which are close to 44 m, the boundary of dilemma zone. The developed decision models demonstrate that the probability of go decision is higher when the distance from the stop line is shorter or operating speed is higher. This indicates that flashing green is an effective way to enhance intersection safety,but it should work together with a strict enforcement. In addition, traffic signs near critical distance and reasonable speed limitation are also beneficial to the safety of intersections.展开更多
AIM: To characterize the influence of diet-induced changes in body fat on colitis severity in SlVlAD3-/- mice.METHODS: SMAD3-/- mice (6-8 wk of age) were ran- domly assigned to receive a calorie restricted (30% o...AIM: To characterize the influence of diet-induced changes in body fat on colitis severity in SlVlAD3-/- mice.METHODS: SMAD3-/- mice (6-8 wk of age) were ran- domly assigned to receive a calorie restricted (30% of control; CR), control (CON), or high fat (HF) diet for 20 wk and were gavaged with sterile broth or with Helicobacter hepaticus (H. hepaticus) to induce colitis. Four weeks after infection, mice were sacrificed and the cecum and colons were processed for histological evaluation.RESULTS: Dietary treatment significantly influenced body composition prior to infection (P 〈 0.05), with CR mice having less (14%±2%) and HF-fed mice more body fat (32% ± 7%) compared to controls (22%±4%). Differences in body composition were associated with alterations in plasma levels of leptin (HF 〉 CON 〉 CR) and adiponectin (CON 〉 HF 〉/ CR) (P 〈 0.05). There were no significant differences in colitis scores between CON and HF-fed mice 4 wk post-infection. Consistent with this, differences in proliferation and in- flammation markers (COX-2, iNOS), and infiltrating cell types (CD3^+ T lymphocytes, macrophages) were not observed. Unexpectedly, only 40% of CR mice survived infection with H. hepaticus, with mortality observed as early as I wk following induction of colitis.CONCLUSION: Increased adiposity does not influence colitis severity in SMAD3-/- mice. Importantly, caloric restriction negatively impacts survival following pathogen challenge, potentially due to an impaired immune response.展开更多
The effects of low-level PES on the overall accuracy of the final surface constructed by using hierarchical construction were investigated with the constructions of a number of global surfaces for the H3 system at UHF...The effects of low-level PES on the overall accuracy of the final surface constructed by using hierarchical construction were investigated with the constructions of a number of global surfaces for the H3 system at UHF (UMP2, DFT-B3LYP, UCCSD(T))/vtz, and UCCSD(T)/avqz levels of theory. The total reaction probabilities for the H+H2 reaction calculated on these surfaces revealed that the accuracy of UCCSD(T)/avqz surface is very close to the well-known BKMP2 surface, while the UCCSD(T)/vtz PES has a slightly higher barrier. In contrast, the low-level theories (UHF, UMP2, DFT-B3LYP) with vtz basis set can only provide a qualitative description of this simplest reaction despite the fact that they are widely used to study reactions in complex systems. On the other hand, although these theories are not accurate on describing the reaction, they can be used to provide the low- level PESs for hierarchical construction of the UCCSD(T)/avqz PES with the number of UCCSD(T)/avqz energies substantially reduced.展开更多

文摘In this paper,applying the concept of generalized KKM map,we study problems of variational inequalities.We weaken convexity(concavity)conditions for a functional of two variables ■(x,y)in the general variational inequalities.Last,we show a proof of non-topological degree meth- od of acute angle principle about monotone operator as an application of these results.
文摘An equation of state (EOS) for high-pressure liquids, i.e., Tait EOS, is deduced according to isothermal 1 3V compressibility KT= -1/V· (2V/2p)T·.Based on the equation, a generalized EOS for high pressure-liquids is established by using the reduced state principle and introducing a characteristic parameter-configuration factor ξ. Reasonably satisfactory P-V-T data for many organic compounds, including some polar components, were calculated by using the equation.
