China's English Language Teaching (ELT) began to adopt CA in the late 1970's, but its application hasn't produced as much communicative competence in learners as expected. There are still a lot of problems facing teachers of English. This paper is devoted to a comparison between CA and traditional FLT method, an investigation of the problems existing in China's College English teaching, and an offering of some possible solutions to them, with a special concern over the application of communicative practices in the language teaching process.展开更多
