In order to ensure that Chinese BeiDou satellite navigation system runs smoothly,the assessment of signal quality has become a significant task.Alternative binary offset carrier(AltBOC)is BeiDou B2 frequency signal.Th...In order to ensure that Chinese BeiDou satellite navigation system runs smoothly,the assessment of signal quality has become a significant task.Alternative binary offset carrier(AltBOC)is BeiDou B2 frequency signal.The acquisition of BeiDou signal is processed in off-line mode and the evaluation is performed by taking signal power spectrum,eye diagram,constellation,correlation,loss and s-curve deviation on AltBOC as signal quality evaluation parameters.The results illustrate that the new system signal,namely AltBOC signal,has the best performance in code tracking precision,anti-jamming and anti-multipath.展开更多

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the leading nosocomial pathogens that causes both severe acute and chronic infections.The strong capacity of P.aeruginosa to form biofilms can dramatically increase its antibiotic resi...Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the leading nosocomial pathogens that causes both severe acute and chronic infections.The strong capacity of P.aeruginosa to form biofilms can dramatically increase its antibiotic resistance and lead to treatment failure.The biofilm resident bacterial cells display distinct gene expression profiles and phenotypes compared to their free-living counterparts.Elucidating the genetic determinants of biofilm formation is crucial for the development of antibiofilm drugs.In this study,a highthroughput transposon-insertion site sequencing(Tn-seq)approach was employed to identify novel P.aeruginosa biofilm genetic determinants.When analyzing the novel biofilm regulatory genes,we found that the cell division factor ZapE(PA4438)controls the P.aeruginosa pqs quorum sensing system.The ΔzapE mutant lost fitness against the wild-type PAO1 strain in biofilms and its production of 2-heptyl-3-hydroxy-4(1H)-quinolone(PQS)had been reduced.Further biochemical analysis showed that ZapE interacts with PqsH,which encodes the synthase that converts 2-heptyl-4-quinolone(HHQ)to PQS.In addition,site-directed mutagenesis of the ATPase active site of ZapE(K72A)abolished the positive regulation of ZapE on PQS signaling.As ZapE is highly conserved among the Pseudomonas group,our study suggests that it is a potential drug target for the control of Pseudomonas infections.展开更多

A novel polarization camera compos...Polarization pattern provides additional information besides spectral signatures. It can be used in many applications, such as navigation, defect detection and object identification. A novel polarization camera composed of four synchronized cameras is proposed, and it can realize real-time polarization measurement. This study particularly concentrates on the geometric calibration of the system. The projection model is analyzed and the multi-camera calibration algorithm is proposed. Firstly, each camera is calibrated separately using planar patterns, and then the geometric calibration algorithms are performed. Due to the geometrical constraint, a global optimization method results in smaller estimation uncertainties. A mean rotation error of 0.025?and a mean translation error of 0.26 mm are achieved after geometric calibration. The images are rectified to establish a correspondence among cameras and are combined to acquire the polarization measurement. The polarization pattern of the skylight is measured by the system and the results are consistent with the previous studies.展开更多
