Background: Supermarkets are a place visited by individuals with different health conditions daily where microbiological contaminants through touch onto fomites such as trolleys and baskets can be passed on to other p...Background: Supermarkets are a place visited by individuals with different health conditions daily where microbiological contaminants through touch onto fomites such as trolleys and baskets can be passed on to other people hence potentially spreading infectious diseases. This study aimed to investigate the presence of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria on handheld shopping trolleys and baskets and their antimicrobial susceptibility status against commonly used antibiotics in Zambia. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted. Trolleys and basket handles were swabbed and standard microbiological methods were used to identify the bacteria and disc diffusion to determine their antimicrobial susceptibility status. Data was collected from December 2021 to April 2022. Data was analysed using IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 22. Results: Twenty-eight percent of the 200 total samples were found to be culture-positive and predominant isolates were Staphylococcus aureus (17.3%), Pseudomonas species (4.5%), Escherichia coli (2%), Corynebacterium species (2%), Staphylococcus species (1.5%) and Enterobacter aerogenes (0.5%). Staphylococcus aureus showed the most resistance to azithromycin (17%) followed by ciprofloxacin (2.8%), nitrofurantoin (2.8%) and chloramphenicol (2.8%). Escherichia coli showed 100% resistance to amoxicillin, cloxacillin and ampicillin, 75% resistance to ciprofloxacin and the least resistance to azithromycin (25%) while it was susceptible to nitrofurantoin. Staphylococcus species, Corynebacterium species, Enterobacter aerogenes and Pseudomonas species showed no resistance to any antibiotics. Conclusion: The study showed the presence of microorganisms with considerable antimicrobial resistance to antibiotics in Zambia on trolley and basket handles indicating the need for more initiatives to address proper hygiene in public environmental sites for better infection prevention and control.展开更多

A quantitative and descriptive research de...The purpose of the study sought to assess and evaluate the contents and records of the emergency trolley in the maternity section of the state hospitals in Windhoek, Namibia. A quantitative and descriptive research design was used for the study to investigate emergency equipment, essential drugs and emergency trolleys. A convenient sample of 10 emergency trolleys in the Windhoek Central Hospital (Hospital A) and Katutura Intermediate Hospital (Hospital B) in Windhoek, Namibia were used. Data was collected using a checklist adapted and edited from the EMSSA. Data were analysed using Microsoft excel 2013. Essential paediatric equipment including bag valve mask devices, Magill’s forceps, oxygen masks were absent in many of the units and wards. Data described that checking of defibrillators, monitors and suction devices still remained a major problem in the units/wards that were fortunate enough to have the aforementioned equipment. A conclusion was that generally the units/wards performed well during the assessments and evaluations. There were still units without emergency trolleys, trolleys that were poorly assessed, and those that were obstructed and registered nurses that had a negative perception to the audit of the emergency trolley. Specialized units such as NICU and Hi-Care Hospital A and Prem Unit Hospital B performed very well in their assessments. Development of policy with regards to assessing, restocking and maintenance of emergency supplies can be used to guide the nurses on what to do. Resuscitation morbidity and mortality meetings in order to identify issues and outcomes surround resuscitation incidences within the unit or ward.展开更多
This paper mainly introduces the research and application of the technical features,technological principles and construction procedures of the pipe track inner mold in the construction of the pipe track through the s...This paper mainly introduces the research and application of the technical features,technological principles and construction procedures of the pipe track inner mold in the construction of the pipe track through the silver pipe track project.The inner mold system is composed of trolley support;with a combination of large mold instead of cabin mold scaffold system.The cabin mold scaffold system optimizes the cabin mold system construction from“scaffolding→installation mold→reinforcement→mold removal→scaffolding removal→horizontal transfer”to“inner mold trolley installation and commissioning→trolley in place→support form→release mold→mold movement.”Reduce labor intensity,conserve construction consumables,and assure quality and safety by reducing the expansion,deconstruction,and transfer procedure of the mold and supporting structure.The occupation time of internal mold trolley in each structural construction section is reduced,the trolley turnover efficiency is improved,and the economic benefit is improved thanks to the central support of early mold removal in the workshop,which serves as a model for the construction organization and technical treatment of similar projects.展开更多
With the modernization of industrial production,various automatic following technologies have gradually penetrated into people's lives.Among them,the application fields that follow mobile balancing vehicles range ...With the modernization of industrial production,various automatic following technologies have gradually penetrated into people's lives.Among them,the application fields that follow mobile balancing vehicles range from the structured environment of factories to the daily living environment.The purpose of this subject is to be able to use UWB positioning technology to realize that the balanced trolley is an automatic following function,which mainly uses the ranging function in UWB positioning technology,uses the TOF ranging principle and embedded basic knowledge,and changes the positioning algorithm to a following algorithm.The distance between the target object and the person is effectively determined by two tags set on the trolley and a base station in the hand to determine the distance,and the distance information is transmitted through the serial port.By writing an algorithm,the distance information is converted to the driving information of the trolley,and the driving information is sent to the trolley to control the trolley,thereby realizing the task of balancing the trolley to follow the specified target in a simple indoor environment.展开更多
