Chromium-Containing Organic Fertilizers from Tanned Hides and Skins: A Review on Chemical, Environmental, Agronomical and Legislative Aspects 被引量:1

A category of chromium (Cr)-containing fertilizers is represented by the fertilizers deriving from byproducts of tanning process. Their use is widespread because of their good agronomic response due to the high content of slow release or- ganic nitrogen (N) and carbon (C). They do not represent an environmental hazard because only the non-toxic form of Cr(III) is present. Productive processes may involve chemical, enzymatic or thermal hydrolysis. The final product is characterized by different contents of peptides and free amino acids depending on the type of hydrolysis. Legislation concerning Cr-containing fertilizers is controversial because often do not consider any scientific evidences;nevertheless, the European Union, the United States and countries as Italy, do not set the restriction to Cr(III) and generally only the presence of the toxic form, Cr(VI), is limited. Depending on its two main oxidation forms, Cr issue has been studied for many years. Several authors confirmed that Cr(VI) is carcinogenic, while Cr(III) is an essential trace element in human and animal diet. In soil Cr(III) has low mobility, whereas Cr(VI) is highly water soluble. However Cr(VI) in soil is quickly reduced to Cr(III);on the contrary oxidation of Cr(III) to Cr(VI) is rarely possible because particular conditions must occur. Only a very small fraction of Cr in soil is available to plant uptake and its translocation in edible parts is limited because it is immobilized in roots as Cr(III). Therefore risks of environmental pollution using these fertilizers are negligible;on the contrary they have positive environmental and agronomical effects. The aim of this review is to deal with the category of the organic fertilizers containing Cr derived from tannery processes focusing on its chemical, productive, legislative, environmental and agronomical aspects. Special attention is given to the ambiguous issue of Cr briefly summarizing the most important studies of the last forty years. 展开更多

The dyes were applied onto chrome and vegetable tanned leather upon characterization. The results indicate that the dye bath exhaustion was better on chrome tanned leather than on vegetable tanned leather. This may be attributed to the chelating effect of chrome on leather and the higher temperature of dyeing the chrome tanned leather compared with the vegetable tanned leather. The fastness properties of the dyes of washing ranging from (3 - 5), perspiration on acid (4 - 5), alkaline (4 - 5) and light (4 - 7) were impressive on both vegetable and chrome tanned leather respectively. 展开更多

The cuticle of a maggot goes through a mechanical transition when it dries, increasing in stiffness by about an order of magnitude (e.g. from 0.5 GPa to 5 GPa) as the water content drops from about 1 g/g (weight of water per unit dry weight) to 0.4 g/g. Thus stiffness represents the loss of freezable water and is more or less diagnostic of a material stabilized by hydrogen bonds. Further loss in water results in a smaller increase in stiffness. In natural systems the water content is controlled by the addition of phenolic residues, resulting in tanning or sclerotisation, which drives the matrix components towards co-operative interaction and makes the material permanently waterproof. 展开更多

In the present work,a comparative study of analytical methods for the simultaneous and quantitative determination of trivalent and hexavalent chromium is presented.For the analysis by ion chromatography-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry,two different columns were tested,as well as different mobile phases and different pH of the samples.The optimized analytical method permitted the separation of Cr(Ⅲ)and Cr(Ⅵ)using 75 mmol/L NH_(4)NO_(3)pH 3 as chromatographic eluent.The method was validated and applied to real samples,allowing the determination of both species simultaneously,even when there is a huge difference of concentration between Cr(Ⅲ)and Cr(Ⅵ).Limit of detection and limit of quantification for Cr(Ⅲ)were found to be 0.016 and 0.054μg/L(0.3 and 1.1μg/kg),respectively,and for Cr(Ⅵ)0.13 and 0.43μg/L(7 and 22μg/kg),respectively.Possible species interconversions were monitored through the use of chromium isotopic standards,which confirmed that the optimized methodology preserves chromium speciation during extraction and analysis.Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance-mass spectrometry permitted the structure elucidation of the complex formed during ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid extraction. 展开更多

In this study,seven pretreatment methods for chromium speciation in tanned leather were evaluated:acidic miner‑alization,ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA)extraction,diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid(DTPA)extraction,alkaline extraction(NH 4 OH),ammonium nitrate extraction(NH 4 NO 3),water extraction,and phosphate buffer extrac‑tion.Acidic mineralization permitted the decomposition of the organic matter and ensured the complete digestion of leathers,giving access to the total content of chromium in each sample using inductively coupled plasma‑atomic emission spectrometry(ICP‑AES).From all the extractant media tested,EDTA proved to be the most efficient,allowing the extraction of Cr(VI)and Cr(III)as a Cr(III)‑EDTA complex,quantitatively.Method validation is presented for EDTA extraction and direct mineralization.For the EDTA extraction,method detection limit(MDL)and method quantifica‑tion limit(MQL)for total Cr in leather were 3.4 ppb and 11.2 ppb(µg of total Cr per L of extraction solution),respec‑tively.Due to the lack of leather certified reference materials(CRMs)for Cr(VI),accuracy was evaluated by spiking leather samples with a Cr(VI)solution.The spike recovery of EDTA microwave assisted extraction ranged from 91.0 to 108.6%.Interday precision was also evaluated and all variation coefficients were below 5%,for both mineralization and EDTA extraction.This article provides an efficient procedure to extract quantitatively chromium from leather,while maintaining the speciation,which can be further followed by ion chromatography‑inductively coupled plasma‑mass spectrometry(IC‑ICP‑MS). 展开更多

A promising and practical chrome-free tanning system has been developed based on a novel Al–Zr bimetal complex tanning agent.However,to achieve satisfactory resultant leather,the retanning process that is compatible with this emerging tannage needs to be investigated systematically.This paper aims to explore the interaction between the bimetal complex tanned wet white and retanning agents.The isoelectric point(pI)of wet white was 7.2,which was nearly the same as wet blue.The electropositivity of wet white was even higher than that of wet blue during post-tanning processes,resulting in higher uptake rate of retanning agents.The distribution of various retanning agents in wet white was analyzed by pI measurement of layered leather and fluorescent tracing technique.The retanning agents were unevenly distributed throughout the cross-section,which might be an important restriction factor in obtaining satisfactory organoleptic properties of the crust leather.This fact is mainly due to the strong electrostatic interaction between anionic retanning agents and wet white.Applying a high dosage of multiple retanning agents in a proper sequence of addition benefited the full penetration of retanning agents in leather matrix and thus improved the organoleptic properties of crust leather.This work provides guidance for optimizing retanning process of the wet white leather. 展开更多

为解决流化床生物滤器在运行过程中存在床层增高影响其正常使用的问题,研发了基于超声波定位技术的滤料自清洗装置。以常规流化床生物滤器为对照组(CF),研发的自清洗流化床生物滤器为试验组(EF),比较了两组流化床生物滤器的床层增高和... 为解决流化床生物滤器在运行过程中存在床层增高影响其正常使用的问题,研发了基于超声波定位技术的滤料自清洗装置。以常规流化床生物滤器为对照组(CF),研发的自清洗流化床生物滤器为试验组(EF),比较了两组流化床生物滤器的床层增高和滤料流失程度,研究了流化床生物滤器的水处理性能。结果显示:采用超声波定位技术可有效控制流化床生物滤器的床层增高和滤料流失程度,在150%床层膨胀率下,EF组每周的床层增高和滤料流失仅为1.8±0.3 cm和28±12 g,比CF组分别降低了500%和350%。EF组的平均总氨氮(TAN)去除负荷达到了762±164.33 g/(m^(3)·d),显著高于CF组(P<0.05),在TAN快速降解的过程中,两组亚硝酸盐氮未出现明显的累积,水体中的溶氧质量浓度、碱度和COD浓度都出现一定的下降。EF组表层和底层滤料的细菌种群结构和丰度未出现明显的差异,主要优势细菌包括赭黄嗜盐囊菌属,Candidatus_Microthrix,红杆菌属和硝化螺菌属。CF组表层和底层滤料的细菌种群结构和丰度的差异较大,而优势菌群的种类较为相似,主要为罗姆布茨菌和Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1。EF组的硝化螺菌属丰度显著高于CF组,说明采用超声波技术实时控制床层高度有利于氮转化细菌的富集,进而提升了流化床生物滤器运行时的水处理性能。 展开更多

结肠癌组织中THBS2、SLC11A1基因表达及与TANs浸润的关系

目的分析结肠癌组织中血小板反应蛋白2(THBS2)溶质载体家族11成员1(SLC11A1)表达及与肿瘤相关性中性粒细胞(TANs)浸润的关系。方法选取2020年1月-2022年4月在泉州市第一医院进行手术切除的120例结肠癌患者的肿瘤组织及癌旁组织,用免疫... 目的分析结肠癌组织中血小板反应蛋白2(THBS2)溶质载体家族11成员1(SLC11A1)表达及与肿瘤相关性中性粒细胞(TANs)浸润的关系。方法选取2020年1月-2022年4月在泉州市第一医院进行手术切除的120例结肠癌患者的肿瘤组织及癌旁组织,用免疫组化法检测结肠癌组织及癌旁组织中THBS2、SLC11A1表达,收集患者临床病理特征,分析THBS2、SLC11A1表达与结肠癌患者临床病理特征的关系,分析THBS2、SLC11A1与TANs浸润密度的相关性。结果THBS2在结肠癌组织中主要表达于细胞质,SLC11A1在结肠癌组织中主要表达于细胞膜中,染色均呈现棕黄色;相较于癌旁正常组织,结肠癌组织中THBS2表达明显降低,SLC11A1表达明显升高。结肠癌组织THBS2表达与分化程度、淋巴结转移、TNM分期、血管浸润具有明显相关性(P<0.05);结肠癌组织SLC11A1表达与淋巴结转移、肿瘤浸润深度、病理分型、TNM分期、血管浸润具有明显相关性(P<0.05)。结肠癌组织中THBS2表达与TANs浸润密度呈负相关(r=-0.444,P<0.05),SLC11A1表达与TANs浸润密度呈正相关(r=0.355,P<0.05)。结论在结肠癌组织中THBS2、SLC11A1均呈现异常表达,与TANs浸润相互作用共同促进结肠癌的恶性进程,推测两指标可作为潜在的结肠癌临床预后因子。 展开更多

钽氮化物(TaNx)因其优秀的物理、化学稳定性及低电阻温度系数(TCR)等特性被广泛运用于薄膜电阻材料。采用反应磁控溅射设备在Si(100)基片上制备钽氮化物(TaNx)薄膜,通过调节不同溅射参数,对比研究了氩氮总流量、氮气含量、溅射功率等条... 钽氮化物(TaNx)因其优秀的物理、化学稳定性及低电阻温度系数(TCR)等特性被广泛运用于薄膜电阻材料。采用反应磁控溅射设备在Si(100)基片上制备钽氮化物(TaNx)薄膜,通过调节不同溅射参数,对比研究了氩氮总流量、氮气含量、溅射功率等条件对薄膜的影响。通过台阶仪、XRD、电学测试等方式表征其薄膜沉积速率、薄膜结构、TCR及电阻率,并总结其影响规律。实验结果表明,薄膜溅射过程中氩氮总流量、氮气含量、溅射功率等工艺参数均会对TaNx薄膜沉积速率产生明显影响;同时工艺参数还会直接改变薄膜的物相结构,影响薄膜结晶质量,从而带来薄膜TCR与电阻率的变化。此外,通过调节退火温度,探究了真空退火温度对薄膜性质的改变规律,并通过SEM表征薄膜形貌。实验结果表明,退火有效提高了薄膜晶粒尺寸,促进了薄膜二次结晶;退火温度的上升使得TaN(111)相强度增大,并在达到300℃后出现TaN(200)相与TaN(111)相;随着退火温度提高,薄膜电阻率呈上升趋势,薄膜TCR的绝对值先减小后增加,在退火温度达到800℃时,膜层出现明显开裂。研究结果表明,通过控制调整制膜工艺可改善TaNx电阻薄膜的沉积速率、物相结构与电学性能。 展开更多

目的探究丹参酮ⅡA(TanⅡA)对脓毒症小鼠肠损伤的影响和中性粒细胞胞外诱捕网(NETs)在其中的作用及可能机制。方法24只健康雄性C57BL/6小鼠随机分为对照组(Control组)、脂多糖组(LPS组)、LY294002组(LPS+LY组)、丹参酮ⅡA组(LPS+TanⅡA... 目的探究丹参酮ⅡA(TanⅡA)对脓毒症小鼠肠损伤的影响和中性粒细胞胞外诱捕网(NETs)在其中的作用及可能机制。方法24只健康雄性C57BL/6小鼠随机分为对照组(Control组)、脂多糖组(LPS组)、LY294002组(LPS+LY组)、丹参酮ⅡA组(LPS+TanⅡA组),每组6只。除Control组注射等量磷酸盐缓冲液(PBS)外,其余各组腹腔注射LPS 10 mg/kg建立脓毒症模型。LPS+LY组于造模前30 min腹腔注射LY29400230 mg/kg,LPS+TanⅡA组于造模前30 min腹腔注射TanⅡA 30 mg/kg,其余两组于上述时间点腹腔注射等量PBS[含1‰二甲基亚砜(DMSO)]。给药12 h后采集标本。苏木精-伊红(HE)染色观察小肠组织病理学变化并进行Chiu′s评分;酶联免疫吸附实验(ELISA)检测血清D-乳酸(D-Lac)水平、小肠组织髓过氧化物酶(MPO)-DNA复合物(MPO-DNA)及瓜氨酸化组蛋白H3(CitH3)含量;蛋白免疫印迹法(Western blotting)检测小肠组织闭合蛋白(Claudin)-1、磷酸化(p-)PI3K、磷酸化(p-)Akt蛋白表达。结果与Control组比较,LPS组小鼠小肠组织病理损伤严重;Chiu′s评分升高;血清D-Lac水平上升,小肠组织MPO-DNA、CitH3含量增加Claudin-1蛋白表达减少,p-PI3K、p-Akt蛋白表达增加,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.001)。与LPS组比较,LPS+LY组和LPS+TanⅡA组小鼠小肠组织病理损伤减轻,Chiu′s评分降低(P<0.001),血清D-Lac水平下降(P<0.001),小肠组织MPO-DNA、CitH3含量减少(P<0.001);Claudin-1蛋白表达增加(P<0.05或P<0.001),p-PI3K、p-Akt蛋白表达减少(P<0.01)。结论TanⅡA通过抑制PI3K/Akt信号通路,减少NETs生成,增加Claudin-1蛋白表达,降低肠黏膜通透性,发挥脓毒症小鼠肠损伤的保护作用。 展开更多

通过第一性原理计算,研究过渡金属(transition metal,TM)元素掺杂氮化钽(Ta7TMN8,TM=Ti、V、Cr、Y、Zr和Hf)的结构稳定性、力学性能和电子结构。根据对结构和稳定性的计算结果可知,所有的掺杂化合物均能量稳定,Ta7TiN8在能量上比其他掺... 通过第一性原理计算,研究过渡金属(transition metal,TM)元素掺杂氮化钽(Ta7TMN8,TM=Ti、V、Cr、Y、Zr和Hf)的结构稳定性、力学性能和电子结构。根据对结构和稳定性的计算结果可知,所有的掺杂化合物均能量稳定,Ta7TiN8在能量上比其他掺杂化合物更有利;Y、Zr和Hf的掺入使得TaN晶格和体积膨胀,而Ti、V和Cr则相反。通过对力学性能的计算可知,Ti和V的掺入对TaN的剪切模量、弹性模量和理论硬度有较明显的提升,掺Cr对TaN的体积模量有一定的提升,但是会大幅降低理论硬度。基于Ta7TMN8总态密度和分态密度计算结果,费米能级附近存在态密度,表明所有化合物都具有金属性质,由于Ti-3d、V-3d和Cr-3d轨道在费米能级上的贡献比其他TM原子大得多,使得Ta7TiN8、Ta7VN8和Ta7CrN8具有更高的金属性。 展开更多

Effects of Antimicrobial Peptides on Production,Slaughter Performance and Blood Routine of Tan Sheep

[Objectives]This study was conducted to analyze effects of antimicrobial peptides added to the diet of Tan sheep on their production, slaughter performance and blood composition. [Methods] Ninety two four-month-old Tan sheep were randomly divided into two treatment groups according to their body weight, 46 in each group. The control check group(CK) was feed with conventional diet, and the experimental group was fed with the addition of antimicrobial peptide on the basis of the conventional diet, with the added amount of 2.5 g/sheep per day. The experimental period was 60 d. [Results] The incidence rate was 75.06% lower in the experimental group than in the CK. The average daily weight gain per sheep was 11.27% higher in the experimental group than in the CK(P<0.05). The feed conversion ratio was 8.45% lower in the experimental group than in the CK(P<0.05). The average daily gross profit per sheep was 12.12% higher in the experimental group than in the CK. For slaughter performance, the data difference of each item was not significant. The PH at 45 min and 24 h after slaughter was within the normal range of fresh mutton. The cooked meat percentage and water loss rate showed no significant differences(P>0.05). The marbling ranged from 2.45 to 2.50, indicating that the fat content was moderate, and the difference between groups was not significant(P>0.05). The flesh color ranged from 3.00 to 3.15, between light red and bright red, belonging to the normal color of mutton, and the difference between groups was not significant(P>0.05). The shear force was between 2.50 and 2.65, without a significant difference between groups(P>0.05). The white blood cells, lymphocytes and platelets in the experimental group were lower than those in the CK(P<0.01). The erythrocytes and hemoglobin in the erythrocyte group were higher than those in the CK(P<0.05). The neutrophils and monocytes in the experimental group were lower than those in the CK(P<0.05). [Conclusions] This study provides a technical basis for the rational use of antimicrobial peptides and their application in ruminants. 展开更多
