But most of existing algorithms cannot protect the edge and linear target well while suppressing the range anomaly. Aiming at this problem, the differences among the edge, linear target, and range anomaly are analyzed and a novel algo- rithm based on neighborhood pixels detection is proposed. Firstly, the range differences between current pixel and its neighborhood pixels are calculated. Then, the number of neighborhood pixels is detected by the range difference threshold. Finally, whether the current pixel is a range anomaly is distinguished by the neighbor- hood pixel number threshold. Experimental results show that the new algorithm not only has a better range anomaly suppression performance and higher efficiency, but also protects the edge and linear target preferably compared with other algorithms.展开更多

The input query image is examined whether it is a textured or structured. If it is structured, the shapes are segregated into various regions according to its nature;otherwise, it is treated as textured image and considered the entire image as it is for the experiment. The aforesaid tests are applied regions-wise. First, the F-ratio test is applied, if the images pass the test, then it is proceeded to test the spectrum of energy, i.e. means of the two images. If the images pass both tests, then it is concluded that the two images are the same or similar. Otherwise, they differ. Since the proposed system is distribution-based, it is invariant for rotation and scaling. Also, the system facilitates the user to fix the number of images to be retrieved, because the user can fix the level of significance according to their requirements. These are the main advantages of the proposed system.展开更多

Deep remission--defined by both clinical and endoscopic remission, signifying mucosal healing-represents the current endpoint in the treat--to--target strategy, significantly improving patients' long--term outcomes. Transmural healing(TH) could be a more effe-ctive target, but this possibility remains unclear. This narrative review aims to critically review and summarize the available literature relating TH to long--term outcomes, being the first of its kind and to the best of the author's knowledge. A systematic literature search(from incep-tion to March 31 2018) was performed, using multiple databases, and identifying seven full--text manuscripts. In those studies, long--term favorable outcomes(≥ 52 wk) included sustained clinical remission, as well as fewer therapeutic changes, CD--related hospitalizations, and surgeries. Despite heterogeneous design and me-thodological limitations, six of the studies demonstrated that TH or intestinal healing(TH plus mucosal healing) were predictive for the aforementioned favorable out-comes. Therefore, TH may become a reasonable the-rapeutic target and be included in the concept of deep remission. Further prospective, well-designed, multicenter trials aiming to better define the role of TH in personalized therapy for CD and to determine the long-term influence of TH on bowel damage and disability are warranted.展开更多
