This study aims to understand the in-service training needs,training transfer,and training effectiveness of teachers in local normal universities in China,while also proposing a continuous professional development pla...This study aims to understand the in-service training needs,training transfer,and training effectiveness of teachers in local normal universities in China,while also proposing a continuous professional development plan for teachers.Descriptive research methods were employed,with questionnaires serving as the primary data collection tool.The survey revealed that the educational background of teachers in local normal universities is characterized by an unreasonable distribution of academic qualifications,with a shortage of teachers holding postgraduate and higher degrees.Additionally,the training effectiveness for female teachers was found to be lower than that of male teachers.There is a lack of personalization in training needs,which tends to be more generalized.The transfer effect of training is moderate,and there is a need for further enhancement at the behavioral level of training effectiveness.A continuous professional development plan for teachers has been formulated to improve training effectiveness and promote professional development.展开更多

文摘Vocational education is an important part of the overall education system.The development of higher vocational education is one of the guiding principles of education in China.The development of teachers is an important support for the development of vocational education.Teachers who can teach theoretically and guide students in practical work are known as“double-qualified”teachers.Building a highly qualified and professional double-qualified teaching team is the fundamental task in modernizing vocational education.Firstly,this paper discusses the importance of“double-qualified”teachers by describing the relevant policies of the Ministry of Education in China.Secondly,it reviews the research works of early scholars.Thirdly,it analyzes the main problems of teacher training in higher education institutions.Fourthly,it proposes five suggestions for the development of a“double-qualified”teaching team in higher education institutions.A high level and professional teaching team is an important support for the high-quality development of vocational institutions.School leaders must attach great importance to the construction of a“double-qualified”teaching team and increase the support in terms of policies,institutional protection,and financial investment.
文摘The role technical and vocational education plays in Chinese educational system is more and more important.However,the quality of vocational and technical teaching,especially ESP(English for Specific Purposes) teaching in vocational and technical colleges neither meets the social requirements nor satisfies students' needs.This paper sets out to explore thequalification problem of ESP teachersand discuss the appropriate approaches to improve teaching level of ESP teachersin Chinese vocational &technicalcolleges.

文摘In China’s higher education system,the faculty and teaching quality of private colleges and universities have been consistently enhanced,as they play an essential role in the training of professional talents.In the context of“Internet+”and through a detailed analysis of the cross-cultural competence of English teachers in private colleges and universities in China,this paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of cultivating college teachers’cross-cultural thinking to constantly optimize and perfect the strategies for cross-cultural competence,as well as improve the practical application level of English teachers’cross-cultural knowledge theory,so that English teachers can be exposed to the latest educational ideas,constantly broaden their cultural horizons,strengthen professional sensitivity and environmental adaptability,pay attention to local culture,optimize critical thinking,and improve cultural literacy,thus laying a solid foundation for an all-round experience of cross-cultural communication.
