As an efficient,environmentally friendly,energy-saving construction method,assembled buildings are now widely used in campus building construction.Modular design thinking is system-based design thinking,and its application to the design of an assembled teaching building project will comprehensively improve the rationality of the teaching building and component design.The paper focuses on the application of modular design thinking in assembled teaching building design,aiming to provide references for China’s architectural design units,giving full play to the advantages of modular design thinking in future teaching building design projects,and enhancing the level of design,for the construction of the teaching building and the basis of the technical guarantee. 展开更多

Timetabling optimization of classrooms and self-study rooms in university teaching buildings based on the building controls virtual test bed platform considering energy efficiency 被引量:1

The energy consumption of a teaching building can be effectively reduced by timetable optimization.However,in most studies that explore methods to reduce building energy consumption by course timetable optimization,self-study activities are not considered.In this study,an MATLAB-EnergyPlus joint simulation model was constructed based on the Building Controls Virtual Test Bed platform to reduce building energy consumption by optimizing the course schedule and opening strategy of self-study rooms in a holistic way.The following results were obtained by taking a university in Xi’an as an example:(1)The energy saving percentages obtained by timetabling optimization during the heating season examination week,heating season non-examination week,cooling season examination week,and cooling season non-examination week are 35%,29.4%,13.4%,and 13.4%,respectively.(2)Regarding the temporal arrangement,most courses are scheduled in the morning during the cooling season and afternoon during the heating season.Regarding the spatial arrangement,most courses are arranged in the central section of the middle floors of the building.(3)During the heating season,the additional building energy consumption incurred by the opening of self-study rooms decreases when duty heating temperature increases. 展开更多

A good sound environment is essential in creating a harmonious and peaceful campus,improving students’learning outcomes,promoting physical and mental health,and creating a green and healthy campus.This study investigated the impact of new buildings on existing ones by optimizing the spacing between new buildings and the sound insulation structure of building enclosures.The results indicated that building 4 was affected by the noise from new building 1 and its surroundings,with a maximum outdoor daytime noise level reaching 69 dB,and the indoor background noise level in the least favorable classroom was 43.73 dB,less than 45 dB,which was within the acceptable range.It is recommended that the sound insulation design be improved in the planning of new teaching buildings.Besides,the surrounding traffic conditions should be improved,and the usage time of sports facilities should be scheduled appropriately to prevent the noise from sporting activities from affecting the classroom activities.The findings of this study provide valuable references for future architectural acoustics design and campus planning,contributing to the creation of peaceful and comfortable campus environments. 展开更多

But in architecture, the students are not used to start up with biological investigation. Instead of analogues, it is permitted to pursue an evolvability systematics for built emerge. The systematics relies upon the key assumptions of Kirschner who sought the characteristics of biological evolution. For an integrated design thinking of an architectural mind, this is a methodological study, which strategically adapts living forms' evolvability capacity to built-forms' structural emergence. The study outlines the evolution strategy with experimental studios of building and design. The preceding systematic is taught in distinguished courses. It is purposed to build an easy-to-apply framework for how to generate novel structures and how the spatial structure units are organized to emerge with an imagined nature as novel tectonic model. Besides, building up structural thinking into the consilience of evolution strategy, the study is also distinguished for understanding the value system of architectural mind to diagnose the genuine character of inventive built form. Strategy constructs processes. Thinking strategy concludes by the evolvability directives of studio assignments and they are given as flow-charts and project models. 展开更多
