Practical Applications of the Understanding of Foreign Cultures in Japanese-language Teachings

Due to differences in cultural patterns,backgrounds,and thinking styles,it is difficult to learn foreign languages.By integrating the understanding of foreign culture into Japanese-language teachings,students may be able to use Japanese in a more standardized manner based on the understanding of Japanese culture;hence,improving their Japanese proficiency.This article explored the practical strategies of understanding foreign cultures in Japanese-language teachings in hope of helping students improve their Japanese proficiency.

膝关节置换术后患者的康复护理

目的探究teach back健康教育结合功能锻炼计划表在膝关节置换术后患者康复护理中的应用。方法收集80例于2020年7月至2021年7月住院的膝关节置换术患者作为研究对象,采纳随机数字表法将患者分为对照组和研究组,每组各40例。对照组采用传统护理方法,研究组采用teach back健康教育结合功能锻炼计划表进行干预,干预为期3个月。对比两组患者的膝关节评分(Lysholm)、平衡功能评分(BBS)、并发症发生率以及护理满意度情况。结果干预前,两组患者Lysholm评分和BBS评分对比差异不具有统计学意义(P>0.05);干预后研究组患者的Lysholm评分以及BBS评分均高于对照组(P<0.05)。研究组患者并发症发生率低于对照组患者(P<0.05);研究组患者的护理满意度情况优于对照组患者(P<0.05)。结论将teach back健康教育结合功能锻炼计划表应用于膝关节置换术患者的手术护理康复中,能够有效促进其膝关节功能以及平衡能力的恢复,此外还具有安全性高、并发症少的优势,患者的护理满意度更高,具有较为可观的临床应用价值。

基于Teach back模式的助产士一对一导乐对高龄初产妇分娩恐惧的影响

目的:了解基于Teach back模式的助产士一对一导乐对高龄初产妇分娩恐惧的影响。方法:选择2022年1月—2023年6月我院产科的高龄初产妇100例为观察对象,按随机法分为对照组(n=50)和干预组(n=50),对照组实施常规的导乐陪伴式护理,干预组实施基于Teach back模式的一对一导乐陪伴,比较两组分娩恐惧及分娩结局。结果:干预后,两组分娩恐惧量表(CAQ)得分均低于干预前,且干预组得分低于对照组(P<0.05)。干预组经阴道分娩率高于对照组,且分娩并发症发生率低于对照组,产程时间短于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:基于Teach back模式的助产士一对一导乐能够有效降低高龄初产妇的分娩恐惧,提高阴道分娩并降低分娩并发症,缩短产程。

Research on the Reform of the Process-Tracking Ideological and Political Assessment System in Applied Universities:Taking the Personal Finance Course as an Example

Using the Xi’an Mingde Institute of Technology students as the teaching object and the Personal Finance course as an example,we explore the reform of the ideological and political assessment system of process-tracking courses in applied universities.The article analyzes the feasibility of applying the curriculum ideological and political assessment system in college courses and compares the traditional assessment system.It also proposes that applying curriculum ideological and political assessment to the college curriculum assessment system will help improve students’understanding of the“value guidance”in curriculum ideological and political education and enhance the teaching effect.

Culturally competent care across borders: Implementing culturally responsive teaching for nurses in diverse workforces

The migration of healthcare professionals,including nurses,is a global phenomenon.It is driven by various factors,including the pursuit of better opportunities,living conditions,and professional development,as well as political instability or conflict in their home countries.The World Health Organization(WHO)has noted that high-income countries often rely on foreign-trained nurses to fill gaps in their healthcare systems[1].For instance,as of 2021,over 40%(52 million)of all nurses in the United States(US)were expatriates[2].In the United Kingdom(UK),the percentage of expatriate nurses was even higher,reaching approximately 18%in 2021[3].Owing to globalization and migration,healthcare providers must possess cultural competence to deliver improved care[4,5].Culturally responsive teaching(CRT)is rooted in the idea that culture plays a vital role in shaping people’s behaviors,beliefs,values,and communication styles[6].Furthermore,these cultural factors influence patients’perspectives on health,illness,healing,and their preferences for care and communication[7].By recognizing and embracing these cultural differences,nurses can provide more effective and compassionate care to their diverse patient population[8].

Reform of Hospitality English Teaching Based on the Educational Concept of Outcome-Based Education(OBE)

The Outcome-Based Education(OBE)educational concept,proposed by renowned American educator Spady,aims to guide students in mastering learning laws and ultimately achieving expected learning outcomes.The application of OBE educational concept in Hospitality English curriculum not only can effectively enhance the learning effect but also promote the reform of the Hospitality English curriculum,thus improving students’learning enthusiasm.Therefore,taking the Hospitality English curriculum as an example,this paper points out the existing problems in the teaching of this course and suggests the reform measures based on the OBE teaching concept,hoping to provide guidelines for related educational work.

Multi-Objective Teaching-Learning-Based Optimizer for a Multi-Weeding Robot Task Assignment Problem

With the emergence of the artificial intelligence era,all kinds of robots are traditionally used in agricultural production.However,studies concerning the robot task assignment problem in the agriculture field,which is closely related to the cost and efficiency of a smart farm,are limited.Therefore,a Multi-Weeding Robot Task Assignment(MWRTA)problem is addressed in this paper to minimize the maximum completion time and residual herbicide.A mathematical model is set up,and a Multi-Objective Teaching-Learning-Based Optimization(MOTLBO)algorithm is presented to solve the problem.In the MOTLBO algorithm,a heuristicbased initialization comprising an improved Nawaz Enscore,and Ham(NEH)heuristic and maximum loadbased heuristic is used to generate an initial population with a high level of quality and diversity.An effective teaching-learning-based optimization process is designed with a dynamic grouping mechanism and a redefined individual updating rule.A multi-neighborhood-based local search strategy is provided to balance the exploitation and exploration of the algorithm.Finally,a comprehensive experiment is conducted to compare the proposed algorithm with several state-of-the-art algorithms in the literature.Experimental results demonstrate the significant superiority of the proposed algorithm for solving the problem under consideration.

Practical effect of different teaching modes in teaching gastrointestinal surgery nursing

BACKGROUND With the continuous development and progress of medical technology,the position of surgical nursing in the field of clinical medicine is becoming in-creasingly prominent.As an important branch of the surgical field,the nursing requirements and difficulty of gastrointestinal surgery are also increasing.In order to improve the teaching quality of nursing care in gastrointestinal surgery,many educators and researchers are actively exploring new teaching methods.Among them,the teaching method case-based learning(CBL),scene-simulated learning(SSL),task-based learning(TBL),combining self-evaluation and training mode is considered as an effective method.This method aims to help students to better master knowledge and skills and improve their comprehensive quality by cultivating their self-evaluation ability.AIM To explore the practical effect of CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode and student self-assessment in nursing teaching of gastrointestinal surgery.METHODS Seventy-one nursing interns in our hospital from December 2020 to December 2021 were selected.According to different teaching modes,they were divided into observation group CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode combined with student self-assessment and control group(conventional teaching mode),of which 36 were in observation group and 35 were in control group.The results of operational skills,theoretical knowledge,nursing students'satisfaction,learning effectiveness questionnaire and teaching effect were compared between the two groups.RESULTS Compared between the two groups,the operational skills and theoretical knowledge scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the total satisfaction ratio of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the observation group was lower than the control group in the questionnaire results of learning efficacy,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared between the two groups,the proportion of thinking ability,subjective initiative and understanding of theoretical knowledge in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The use of CBL-SSL-TBL combined with training mode and student self-assessment in gastrointestinal surgery nursing teaching can improve the operational skills of nursing interns,theoretical knowledge and satisfaction scores of nursing students,improve the results of learning efficiency questionnaire and teaching effect,which can be popularized in clinical teaching.

Student Academic Performance Predictive Model Based on Dual-stream Deep Network

Blended teaching is one of the essential teaching methods with the development of information technology.Constructing a learning effect evaluation model is helpful to improve students’academic performance and helps teachers to better implement course teaching.However,a lack of evaluation models for the fusion of temporal and non-temporal behavioral data leads to an unsatisfactory evaluation effect.To meet the demand for predicting students’academic performance through learning behavior data,this study proposes a learning effect evaluation method that integrates expert perspective indicators to predict academic performance by constructing a dual-stream network that combines temporal behavior data and non-temporal behavior data in the learning process.In this paper,firstly,the Delphi method is used to analyze and process the course learning behavior data of students and establish an effective evaluation index system of learning behavior with universality;secondly,the Mann-Whitney U-test and the complex correlation analysis are used to analyze further and validate the evaluation indexes;and lastly,a dual-stream information fusion model,which combines temporal and non-temporal features,is established.The learning effect evaluation model is built,and the results of the mean absolute error(MAE)and root mean square error(RMSE)indexes are 4.16 and 5.29,respectively.This study indicates that combining expert perspectives for evaluation index selection and further fusing temporal and non-temporal behavioral features that for learning effect evaluation and prediction is rationality,accuracy,and effectiveness,which provides a powerful help for the practical application of learning effect evaluation and prediction.

The"4+4"Medical Doctor(MD)Pilot Program at PUMC:Implementation,Performance,and Prospects

Peking Union Medical College(PUMC)launched the"4+4"Medical Doctor(MD)pilot program in 2018,admitting students with non-medical backgrounds from top universities,aligning with national medical talent training policies to foster diverse and eager learners in medicine.On the occasion of the graduation of the first class of the"4+4"MD pilot class at PUMC in 2023,we reviewed the teaching reform in the pilot program and carried out a systematic survey and interviews with students,faculties,and management staff of the pilot class.This article reports on the measures taken by the pilot class at PUMC in enrollment and curriculum setting,and demonstrates the achievements of the pilot class in terms of student academic background structure,knowledge acquisition and skill learning,scientific research ability,and course evaluation.The results indicated that the pilot class had met the national demand for the"Medicine+X"talent training model.More specifically,with a diverse academic backgrounds,the pilot class graduates had academic levels comparable to the eight-year medical education graduates,and their scientific research abilities were satisfactory.The pilot program at PUMC will optimize the curriculum setting,strengthen the construction of faculty,learning resources,and teaching facilities,and reform the academic evaluation methods,thus deepening the reform of medical education and improving the"4+4"MD program as a novel medical education model.

An Empirical Study of the Socratic Method in Nongraded English Teaching in Senior High School Under the Background of the New National College Entrance Examination

With the reform of the New National College Entrance Examination(Gaokao),the nongraded education will become an inevitable trend.In senior high school,the traditional test-oriented education is popular.The knowledge is mainly taught by the teachers,and the students passively absorb it.This study examines a problem-oriented Socratic experiment in nongraded English teaching in senior high school.The teachers seek output from students,who respond by interpreting questions,fostering critical thinking,and enhancing problem-solving skills.This teaching experiment indicates that the Socratic method has a significant positive effect on cultivating nongraded senior high English students’critical thinking under the New National College Entrance Examination.

Systematizing Teacher Development:A Review of Foreign Language Teacher Learning

Foreign language teaching practice is developing rapidly,but research on foreign language teacher learning is currently relatively fragmented and unstructured.The book Foreign Language Teacher Learning,written by Professor Kang Yan from Capital Normal University,published in September 2022,makes a systematic introduction to foreign language teacher learning,which to some extent makes up for this shortcoming.Her book presents the lineage of foreign language teacher learning research at home and abroad,analyzes both theoretical and practical aspects,reviews the cuttingedge research results,and foresees the future development trend,painting a complete research picture for researchers in the field of foreign language teaching and teacher education as well as front-line teachers interested in foreign language teacher learning.This is an important inspiration for conducting foreign language teacher learning research in the future.And this paper makes a review of the book from aspects such as its content,major characteristics,contributions and limitations.

Effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge and attitude toward foot care

Objective:The study was aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude toward foot care and evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program(STP)on the knowledge and attitude of patients with diabetes mellitus regarding foot care.Materials and Methods:A preexperimental research design was used in this study,which was conducted in medical-surgical wards of a secondary hospital in Northeast India,Nagaland.A total of 30 subjects were recruited by consecutive sampling technique.A closed-ended structured questionnaire and 5-point Likert scale was used to assess knowledge and attitude toward foot care.A STP was administered after which posttest was done after 24 h.Results:The majority(86.6%)of the participants in the pretest had inadequate knowledge and 80%had negative attitudes toward foot care.After STP,70%had moderately adequate knowledge and 53.3%had a positive attitude regarding foot care.The structured teaching program was effective in improving the knowledge and attitude at P<0.01 which is highly significant and there was a significant association between the pretest level knowledge and duration of diabetes at P<0.01.Conclusion:STP was effective in enhancing the level of knowledge and attitude toward foot care among diabetic inpatients.This type of interaction can be organized at regular intervals to reinforce knowledge and attitude toward foot care among inpatients.

Application of Midjournal and Stable Diffusion in Environmental Art and Design Courses in Higher Education Institutions

This study was aimed to explore the feasibility of introducing two mainstream AI drawing applications,Midjournal and Stable Diffusion,into the environmental art and design courses in higher education institutions.On the basis of introducing the development history of AI drawing technology,the characteristics of Midjournal and Stable Diffusion and their applications in teaching were described in detail.The analysis on its practical application in public space design courses showed that AI drawing technology could significantly improve students’creative efficiency and the possibility of artistic creation,while also enriching the expressive power of design.In spite of the challenges such as technical accuracy,response to complex design requirements,hardware dependencies,and student dependencies,the application of AI drawing technology had an overall positive prospects in the field of education.Finally,the value of AI drawing technology in teaching was emphasized,and the challenges it brought were discussed,as well as how to fully utilize this technology while maintaining teaching objectives and educational principles.
