Clinical Analysis of Terbutaline and Budesonide Co-Treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Objective: To analyze the clinical effect of terbutaline combined with budesonide in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods: 500 cases of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted to the hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected and divided into 250 cases in the control group and 250 cases in the observation group by randomization method, both groups received conventional symptomatic treatment, with budesonide added to the control group and terbutaline and budesonide to the observation group, and the lung function indexes, therapeutic effects and adverse drug reactions before and after treatment were compared. Results: After treatment, the level of all lung function indexes of patients in the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the level of total effective rate of treatment was 96.40%, which was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05), and the difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups was not strong (P > 0.05). Conclusion: In the clinical treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, the combined use of terbutaline and budesonide can positively improve lung function, with precise effects and few adverse reactions. 展开更多

Objective: To study the clinical effect of terbutaline injection aerosol inhalation combined with conventional drug therapy for acute attack of bronchial asthma in children. Methods:Children with acute attack of bronchial asthma who were treated in Wusheng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Qiandongnan Prefecture People's Hospital between January 2014 and July 2017 were selected as the study cases for prospective study and randomly divided into the experimental group who received terbutaline + budesonide aerosol inhalation and the control group who received budesonide aerosol inhalation. The expression levels of immune cell transcription factors in peripheral blood as well as the contents of adhesion factors, chemokines, proteases and their inhibitory molecules in serum were determined before treatment and 3 days after treatment. Results: Foxp3 and T-bet expression in peripheral blood as well as TIMP1 and TIMP2 contents in serum of both groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment whereas RORγt and GATA-3 expression in peripheral blood as well as TARC, Eotaxin, ICAM-1, VCAM-1, L-selectin, ADAM8, NE and MMP9 contents in serum were lower than those before treatment, and Foxp3 and T-bet expression in peripheral blood as well as TIMP1 and TIMP2 contents in serum of experimental group after treatment were higher than those of control group whereas RORγt and GATA-3 expression in peripheral blood as well as TARC, Eotaxin, ICAM-1, VCAM-1, L-selectin, ADAM8, NE and MMP9 contents in serum were lower than those of control group. Conclusion: Terbutaline injection aerosol inhalation combined with conventional drug therapy can effectively regulate the immune response and inflammatory response and inhibit the airway remodeling mediated by protease in children with acute attack of bronchial asthma. 展开更多

Distribution behavior of terbutaline enantiomers was examined in the aqueous and organic solvent of a two-phase system containing L-dibenzoyltartaric acid and lipophilic phase transfer reagent of Na-tetraphenylborate. The influences of pH, organic solvents, concentrations of Na-tetraphenylborate and L-dibenzoyltartaric acid on the partition coefficients and enantioselectivity of terbutaline enantiomers, were investigated. The results show that tetraphenylborate lipophilic anion and terbutaline enantiomers form two lipophilic salt complexes , which facilitates the solubility of the enantiomers in the organic phase. L-dibenzoyltartaric acid forms more stable complexes with enantiomer Ⅱ than with enantiomer I . Enantioselectivity and partition coefficient increase with the addition of the length of alkyl chain of alcohols. pH and concentrations of lipophilic anion and L-dibenzoyltartaric acid influence them obviously and differently. 展开更多

A simple,specific,accurate and precise spectrophotometric stability indicating method is developed for determination of bambuterol hydrochloride(BH)in the presence of its degradation product terbutaline(TERB)and in pharmaceutical formulations.A newly developed spectrophotometric method called ratio difference method by measuring the difference in amplitudes between 245 and 260nm of ratio spectra.The calibration curves are linear over the concentration range of 0.1~1mg·mL-1 for BH and 0.1~0.7mg·mL-1 for TERB with mean percentage recovery of 100.56±0.751 and 99.88±1.183,respectively.The selectivity of the proposed method is checked using laboratory prepared mixtures.The proposed method has been successfully applied to the analysis of BH in pharmaceutical dosage forms without interference from other dosage form additives and the results have been statistically compared with pharmacopeial method. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the effect of terbutaline sulfate combined with shunning on acute attack of asthma complicated with lobar pneumonia in children.Methods:One hundred and fifty children with acute attack of asthma and lobar pneumonia were randomly divided into routine group(seventy-five cases)and combined group(seventy-five cases).The routine group was given routine treatment.The study group was treated with routine therapy plus terbutaline sulfate plus shunning.The changes of pulmonary function and serum inflammatory factors before and after treatment,clinical effect and safety were compared between the two groups.Results:Respiratory time/inspiratory time(Ti/Te),peak time ratio(TPTEF/TE),peak volume ratio(VPEF/VE),tidal volume per kilogram(Vt/kg)were increased in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),which in the combined group were higher than the routine group after treatment(P<0.05).After treatment,serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6)and interleukin-8(IL-8)in both groups decreased significantly(P<0.05),and those in the combined group were lower than those in the routine group(P<0.05).There was a significant difference in clinical effect distribution between the two groups(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the combined group was higher than that of the routine group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the combined group was slightly higher than that in the routine group(P>0.05).Conclusion:On the basis of routine treatment,terbutaline sulfate combined with shunning can significantly improve pulmonary function and serum inflammatory factors in children with acute attack of asthma and lobar pneumonia,with ideal effect and safe. 展开更多

Electrochemical properties of terbutaline sulfate (TBS) at the glassy carbon electrode modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were explored by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The response was evaluated with respect to pH, scan rate and other variables. Some electrochemical parameters, such as the charge number and proton number, were calculated. The results indicated that TBS underwent irreversible oxidation at the modified electrode, which was an adsorption-controlled process with two protons and two electrons. The reductive peak current of TBS significantly increased and the peak potential shifted negatively at the modified electrode, thus resulting in an electrode for TBS. The current was proportional to the concentration of TBS over 1.12 and 141 μM with a detection limit of 0.34 μM (at S/N = 3). The modified electrode showed good sensitivity, selectivity and stability for the determination of TBS in pork sample. 展开更多

Objective: To investigate the effects of terbutaline combined with methylprednisolone on pulmonary function, blood gas analysis and inflammatory factors in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: A total of 100 patients with COPD were randomly divided into control group (n=50) and observation group (n=50) according to the lottery method. Both groups were treated with conventional therapy. On this basis, the control group was given inhalation of terbutaline. The observation group was given terbutaline inhalation and combination therapy with methylprednisolone. The changes of lung function, changes of blood gas analysis and inflammatory factors were measured before and after treatment in both groups. Results: There were no significant differences in lung function between the two groups before treatment. After treatment, the levels of FVC and FEV1 in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, and that of the observation group was higher than those of the control group. Before treatment, there was no significant difference between the two groups. After treatment, PaO2 levels in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment, and that of the observation group was higher than those of the control group. After treatment, PaCO2 levels in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group after treatment. There were no significant differences in the levels of inflammatory factors between the two groups before treatment. After treatment, the levels of PCT and TNF-α in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, and those of the observation group was lower than those of the control group after treatment. Conclusion: The effect of Terbutaline combined with methylprednisolone treatment of COPD is better, which can significantly improve lung function, stable blood gas analysis, reduce the concentration of inflammatory factors, and be a potential effective treatment programs. 展开更多

Objective: To study the effect of azithromycin combined with terbutaline on the infection and systemic conditions in children with mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods: A total of 80 children with pneumonia who were treated in the hospital between August 2014 and February 2017 were collected and divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method, 40 cases in each group. The control group received azithromycin therapy, the observation group received azithromycin combined with terbutaline therapy, and both therapies lasted for 6 d. The differences in systemic inflammatory response, myocardial enzyme spectrum, and liver function and so on were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: Before treatment, differences in serum levels of inflammatory factors, myocardial enzyme spectrum indexes and liver function indexes were not statistically significant between the two groups. After 6 d of treatment, serum IL-2, IL-4, IL-8, IL-13, PCT, CK-MB, LDH, HBDH, ALT, AST and ALP levels of both groups of patients were significantly lower than those before treatment, and serum IL-2, IL-4, IL-8, IL-13, PCT, CK-MB, LDH, HBDH, ALT, AST and ALP levels of observation group were significantly lower than those of control group. Conclusion: Azithromycin combined with terbutaline therapy can effectively control the systemic inflammatory response and protect the heart and liver function in patients with mycoplasma pneumonia. 展开更多

Effect of terbutaline on alveolar liquid clearance after oleic acid-induced lung injury in rats 被引量:2

To investigate whether terbutaline affects alveolar liquid deorance after oleic acid-induced lung injury in rats. Methods : Forty healthy Wistor rats ( weighing 250- 280 g) were randomly divided into five groups ( n = 8 in each group ) : the normal control group ( control group ), oleic acid injury group (injury group), group (terbutaline group ), terbutaline plus amiloridetreated group ( terbutaline + amiloride group ) and terbutaline plus ouabaln-treated group (terbutaline + ouabaln group). Acute lung injury model was induced by intravenous oleic acid (0. 25 ml/kg body weight). 24 hours later, 1.5 μCi^125 I-labeled 5% albumin solution (5 ml/kg body weight) was dripped into the lungs through trachea. The alveolar liquid clearance rate, extravascular lung water content, and arterial blood gas were measured 1 hour thereafter. Results: At24 hours after infusion of oleic acid, the rats developed pulmonary edema and severe hypoxemia,with the alveolar liquid clearance rate decreased by 49. 2 % and the extravascnlar lung water content elevated by 47.9%. Compared with the rats in the injury group, terbutaline ( 10^-4 mol/L ) significantly increased the alveolar liquid clearance rate, decreased the extravascular lung water content and improved hypoxemia. The effect of terlmtaUne was partly blocked by amiloride and ouabain, which were inhibitors of sodium transport. Terbutaline increased the alveolar liquid clearance rate by 63.7 %, and amiloride and ouabain reduced the alveolar liquid clearance rate by 54.7 % and 56. 8 %, respectively. Conclusions: Terbutaline can accelerate alveolar liquid clearance through increasing sodim transport to attenuate pulmonary edema, thus improving gas exchange, which may have therapeutical effect on pulmonary edema after acute lung injury. 展开更多

Astragalus membranaceus improves therapeutic efficacy of asthmatic children by regulating the balance of Treg/Th17 cells 被引量:14

The children with asthma remission wer... Astragalus membranaceus may be a potential therapy for childhood asthma but its driving mechanism remains elusive. The main components of A. membranaceus were identified by HPLC. The children with asthma remission were divided into two combination group(control group, the combination of budesonide and terbutaline) and A. membranaceus group(treatment group, the combination of budesonide, terbutaline and A. membranaceus). The therapeutic results were compared between two groups after 3-month therapy.Porcine peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) were isolated from venous blood by using density gradient centrifugation on percoll. The levels of Fox P3, EGF-β, IL-17 and IL-23 from PBMCs and serum Ig E were measured. The relative percentage of Treg/Th17 cells was determined using flow cytometry. The main components of A. membranaceus were calycosin-7-O-glucoside, isoquercitrin, ononin, calycosin, quercetin, genistein, kaempferol, isorhamnetin and formononetin, all of which may contribute to asthma therapy. Lung function was significantly improved in the treatment group when compared with a control group(P < 0.05). The efficacy in preventing the occurrence of childhood asthma was higher in the treatment group than the control group(P < 0.05).The levels of Ig E, IL-17 and IL-23 were reduced significantly in the treatment group when compared with the control group, while the levels of FoxP3 and TGF-β were increased in the treatment group when compared with the control group(P < 0.05). A. membranaceus increased the percentage of Treg cells and reduced the percentage of Th17 cells. A. membranaceus is potential natural product for improving the therapeutic efficacy of combination therapy of budesonide and terbutaline for the children with asthma remission by modulating the balance of Treg/Th17 cells. 展开更多
