Chinese education modernization is integral to Chinese modernization,and is of leading significance to the further advancement of Chinese modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In this paper,taking ideological and political theories teaching in all courses as an example,an attempt is made to organically integrate cultural literacy and political education under the vision of Chinese education modernization,and“gathers knowledge heritage in the dissemination of value and leads the values in the dissemination of knowledge,”thereby training students into highcaliber talents with good and all-round moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetical,and labor grounding.

The political terminologies with Chinese characteristics presented in the report form a crucial part of China’s distinct political development model, while also presenting considerable challenges for translation. Drawing on a Chinese-English parallel corpus of political terminologies from the 20th Congress report, this study explores the translation of these terms with a focus on four-character patterns, numerical abbreviations, and idiomatic expressions. The goal is to develop effective translation strategies and contribute to research on translating political terminologies with Chinese characteristics.

The Political Aspect of Misogynies in Late Qing Dynasty Crime Fiction

In most Chinese traditional court-case narrative, women often serve as negative social actors, and may even be the alleged cause of the degeneration of men＇s morality as the result of their seductiveness. In the late Qing Dynasty novel Digong＇an, centred on the upright official Digong, there is strong evidence of misogyny by the author. Two female characters stand out from the story： one kills her husband with the help of her lover, who is partially justified by the latter being under the woman＇s negative influence; and the other is Empress Wu, to whom the moral downfall of the Tang Dynasty is attributed. Both women are subject to insult and threat throughout the novel. The author＇s attitude substantially relies on the sexist rhetoric prevalent in the Confucian idea of an ordered society, which usually took a negative outlook towards women partaking in public life. But for the latter we should also take in account that at the end of the Qing Dynasty a woman was, in reality, ruling the empire ＂from behind the curtain＂. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to deconstruct the author＇s misogyny, in order to shed a light on his criticism and connect it with a somewhat more political discourse.

The Representation of Foreign Politics Through Media Prism： A Case Study of 2008 U.S. Presidential Election Campaign in Mainland Chinese Newspapers

As the most powerful nation in the world, the U.S. presidential election campaign drew a lot of attention from the media around the world. This study examines how party-orientation and market-orientation newspapers in China presented 2008 U.S. presidential election campaign to their audience, and how the news serve for the reproduction of domestic dominated ideology and safeguarding domestic political needs. It adopted content analysis and textual analysis as research methods. The results show that Party newspaper tends to serve domestic political ideology, while market-oriented newspapers showed mixed attitude toward political demand. Although market newspapers, out of the concern of political safety, employed some tactic to comply with the demand of dominated ideology to some extent, their cooperation was limited since their main purpose was commercial success and their presentation even destroy the aim of linkage politics for the reasons include acquiring market profit and/or pursuit of professional value. This study is a positive effort to make up the current research gap of studies on international news in Chinese media.
