We maintain that they are not only equivalent, but even identical, or to rephrase the main statement of this work: A gravitational force does not exist. Rather, gravity is a fictitious force, or, more pointedly: Gravity is the centrifugal force which acts upon material bodies within the rotating S3-hypersphere of the Universe. These in turn warp the adjacent space-fabric, shaping it to the well-known field geometry of general relativity.展开更多
We conducted a large-scale survey of the extremely-cold infrared sources(ECISs) along the Galactic plane. There are 1912 (IRAS) sources selected on the basis of their color indices and their association with recent st...We conducted a large-scale survey of the extremely-cold infrared sources(ECISs) along the Galactic plane. There are 1912 (IRAS) sources selected on the basis of their color indices and their association with recent star formation. A quick survey was made toward 724 sources. There are 251 sources detected with significant CO emission during the quick survey above the detection limit of 0 9 K. Among the various sources detected, there are 147 sources found to have broad CO wing emission, including 116 newly detected sources. These sources comprise a new database for future study of star formation in our Galaxy. Using the known outflow sources as an effective indicator, we found the outflow detection rate of the quick survey is 62%, reasonably sensitive in survey for new outflow sources. Results from limited follow-up studies are introduced.展开更多
The 10th edition of the Global Trajectory Optimization Competition considered the problem of the galaxy settlement wherein competitors from all over the world were expected to design the trajectories of different sett...The 10th edition of the Global Trajectory Optimization Competition considered the problem of the galaxy settlement wherein competitors from all over the world were expected to design the trajectories of different settler vessels to maximize the given multi-faceted merit function.The synthesis methods used by the winning team,led jointly by the National University of Defense Technology(NUDT)and Xi’an Satellite Control Center(XSCC),are described along with a greedy search method and the improved solution obtained by University of Jena.Specifically,we presented a layout-first topology-second approach that allows an efficient settlement tree search guided by the pre-specified ideal spatial distribution.We also explained how the problem of constructing settlement trees can be modeled as the widely studied minimum spanning tree problem.Furthermore,University of Jena explored the possibility that a greedy search can generate even better settlement trees,based on the same initial conditions,when compared to that of the winning solution.展开更多

It is shown that the resulting spacetime geometry is Gaussian and the four-vector calculus to have its roots in the complex-number algebra. Furthermore, this results in superluminality of signals travelling at or nearly at the canonical velocity of light between rest frames even if resting to each other.展开更多
