Recently application of functionally graded materials(FGMs) have attracted a great deal of interest. These materials are composed of various materials with different micro-structures which can vary spatially in FGMs...Recently application of functionally graded materials(FGMs) have attracted a great deal of interest. These materials are composed of various materials with different micro-structures which can vary spatially in FGMs. Such composites with varying thickness and non-uniform pressure can be used in the aerospace engineering. Therefore, analysis of such composite is of high importance in engineering problems. Thermoelastic analysis of functionally graded cylinder with variable thickness under non-uniform pressure is considered. First order shear deformation theory and total potential energy approach is applied to obtain the governing equations of non-homogeneous cylinder. Considering the inner and outer solutions, perturbation series are applied to solve the governing equations. Outer solution for out of boundaries and more sensitive variable in inner solution at the boundaries are considered. Combining of inner and outer solution for near and far points from boundaries leads to high accurate displacement field distribution. The main aim of this paper is to show the capability of matched asymptotic solution for different non-homogeneous cylinders with different shapes and different non-uniform pressures. The results can be used to design the optimum thickness of the cylinder and also some properties such as high temperature residence by applying non-homogeneous material.展开更多

The global displacement components are of the Reddy theory and local components are of the internal first to third-order terms in each layer. A two-node beam element based on this theory is proposed. The relationship between the intramolecular orientational order parameter and the molecular geometrical parameters such as the bond angle, the bond rotational angle and the rotational potential energy of chemical bonds was deduced. A significant even-odd oscillation of the intramolecular orientational order parameter of LCPs with different length of flexible spacer was found and rationally related to even-odd zig-zag manner of transition properties The verification and application of the theory are also discussed. The isotropic transition temperature predicted by the theory is shown to be in favourable agreement with the experiments.展开更多

Our calculations show that the disorder is manifested in two aspects in the cubic phase, namely, the disorder of orientation and rotation of organic groups. Organic groups of [CH3] and [NH3] in cubic crystals can easily rotate around its C3 axis. At the same time,[CH3NH3]^+ organic groups can also orient to different spatial directions due to the weak interactions between organic group and inorganic frame. Our results show that its possible phase transition path starts from the deviation of organic groups from the crystal c-axis. Its structural transition changes from disordered cubic phase to hydrogen-only disordered tetragonal structure in the process of decreasing symmetry. The disordered high temperature cubic phase can be expressed as a statistical average of substructures we rebuilt. The electrostatic repulsive force between adjacent organic groups triggers out the formation of low temperature phase on cooling.展开更多

The rational brain and the empirical brain are from the thinking brain. This paper posits that in the evolution of political order, the main function of political order is to pacify changed social structure derived from technological revolution. Therefore, the four technological revolutions (the Upper Paleolithic, Agricultural-Bronze, Iron, and Industrial Revolutions) produce the four changed social structures (linked bands, tribe, mega empire, and modern nation, respectively) whose internal conflicts are pacified by the four political revolutions (the imaginative, hierarchical, thinking, bottom-up political revolutions, respectively) to form the four politics (the imaginative egalitarianism, decentralized hierarchical tribalism, centralized top-down thinking, and multilateral bottom-up thinking politics, respectively). In the competitive West originated from Greece and Middle East, the rule of law is the rational rule of competition among competitors, and the accountability of election is the empirical accountability of competition among competitors. In the cooperative East originated from India and China, the rule of relation is the rational rule of cooperation among kin-friends, and the accountability of professional qualification is the empirical accountability of cooperation among kin-friends. The fluids are assumed to be incompressible, inviscid and irr...Based on the Stokes wave theory, the capillary-gravity wave and the interfacial internal wave in two-layer constant depth's fluid system are investigated. The fluids are assumed to be incompressible, inviscid and irrotational. The third-order Stokes wave solutions are given by using a perturbation method. The results indicate that the third-order solutions depend on the surface tension, the density and the depth of each layer. As expected, the first-order solutions are the linear theoretical results (the small amplitude wave theoretical results). The second-order and the third-order solutions describe the nonlinear modification and the nonlinear interactions. The nonlinear impact appears not only in the n (n〉~2) times' high frequency components, but also in the low frequency components. It is also noted that the wave velocity depends on the wave number, depth, wave amplitude and surface tension.展开更多
The article proposes an Equivalent Single Layer(ESL)formulation for the linear static analysis of arbitrarily-shaped shell structures subjected to general surface loads and boundary conditions.A parametrization of the...The article proposes an Equivalent Single Layer(ESL)formulation for the linear static analysis of arbitrarily-shaped shell structures subjected to general surface loads and boundary conditions.A parametrization of the physical domain is provided by employing a set of curvilinear principal coordinates.The generalized blendingmethodology accounts for a distortion of the structure so that disparate geometries can be considered.Each layer of the stacking sequence has an arbitrary orientation and is modelled as a generally anisotropic continuum.In addition,re-entrant auxetic three-dimensional honeycomb cells with soft-core behaviour are considered in the model.The unknown variables are described employing a generalized displacement field and pre-determined through-the-thickness functions assessed in a unified formulation.Then,a weak assessment of the structural problem accounts for shape functions defined with an isogeometric approach starting fromthe computational grid.Ageneralizedmethodology has been proposed to define two-dimensional distributions of static surface loads.In the same way,boundary conditions with three-dimensional features are implemented along the shell edges employing linear springs.The fundamental relations are obtained from the stationary configuration of the total potential energy,and they are numerically tackled by employing the Generalized Differential Quadrature(GDQ)method,accounting for nonuniform computational grids.In the post-processing stage,an equilibrium-based recovery procedure allows the determination of the three-dimensional dispersion of the kinematic and static quantities.Some case studies have been presented,and a successful benchmark of different structural responses has been performed with respect to various refined theories.展开更多

Suitable functions for displacements and rotations for each node have been...A new displacement based higher order element has been formulated that is ideally suitable for shear deformable composite and sandwich plates. Suitable functions for displacements and rotations for each node have been selected so that the element shows rapid convergence, an excellent response against transverse shear loading and requires no shear correction factors. It is completely lock-free and behaves extremely well for thin to thick plates. To make the element rapidly convergent and to capture warping effects for composites, higher order displacement terms in the displacement kinematics have been considered for each node. The element has eleven degrees of freedom per node. Shear deformation has also been considered in the formulation by taking into account shear strains ( rxz and ryz) as nodal unknowns. The element is very simple to formulate and could be coded up in research software. A small Fortran code has been developed to implement the element and various examples of isotropic and composite plates have been analyzed to show the effectiveness of the element.展开更多

The purpose of this study was to explore the process of family support provided by nurses to families with a borderline personality disorder (BPD) patient. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 16 nurses who ...The purpose of this study was to explore the process of family support provided by nurses to families with a borderline personality disorder (BPD) patient. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 16 nurses who had provided care to BPD patients. Data obtained from the interviews were qualitatively analyzed using a modified grounded theory approach. As an overall core category of family support processes practiced by nurses for families with BPD patients, family support practiced without awareness that the nurses were supporting families was extracted. Through this process, nurses held perceptions that were premises for family support, which were formed through their individual nursing experiences and perspectives. Nurses also had diverse perceptions concerning the image of families. Through the integration of perceptions that were premises for family support and perceptions of an image of the family, nurses underwent a process of “determination and ambivalence about the need for family support.” Then, nurses provided “family support practice” when they acknowledged the need for family support. During the “family support practice,” nurses had difficulties in providing family support. When family support was not successfully provided, nurses provided “family support practice with seeking more effective ways through trial and error.” For cases in which nurses did not acknowledge the need for intervention, they intentionally chose “not to provide family support.” Furthermore, during the “family support practice,” nurses had contradictory perspectives of family support. Such family support processes ultimately led to an awareness of the same family support required for the future. Family support was provided with “family support practice” and “family support practice with seeking more effective ways through trial and error.” In some cases, however, the process ended in “not to provide family support intentionally.” Experiences and perspectives in providing family support are important factors in carrying out future family support. Developing the positive implications of these factors and reducing psychological strain on nurses may ensure smooth implementation of family support. Thus, nurses need to recognize that they are supporting the family, which is identified as a core category.展开更多

Introduction of -OC2H5 on the benzene or pyridine ring made the lowest energy absorption blue-shift. When the -C2H3 was introduced on the benzene or pyridine ring, the lowest energy absorption was red-shifted. Introduction of electron-donating group on β-diketonate can enlarge their nonlinear optical properties. On the contrary, the introduction of electron-drawing group dropped it down.展开更多

To understand and control the interfacial properties of polydiacetylenes(PDAs)vesicles withπ-conjugated backbone is very important for their colorimetric sensing of chemical and biological targets.In this work,we ado...To understand and control the interfacial properties of polydiacetylenes(PDAs)vesicles withπ-conjugated backbone is very important for their colorimetric sensing of chemical and biological targets.In this work,we adopted 10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid(PCDA)as the model molecule to prepare PDAs vesicles in aqueous solution with different forms(from monomer to blue-to-purple-to-red phase)by controlling the UV irradiation dose.The variations of the interfacial conformation of PDAs vesicles during chromatic transitions were inspected by the adsorption behaviors of probe molecules(4-(4-diethylaminostyry)-1-methylpyridinium iodide,D289)on vesicle surface with surface-specific second harmonic generation(SHG)and zeta potential measurements.Resonant SHG signal from D289 adsorbed on vesicle surface attenuated sharply,and the adsorption free energy as well as the corresponding two-photon fluorescence signal decreased slightly in chromatic transitions.While,the change in the surface density of the adsorbed D289 molecules for PDAs vesicles with different forms was relatively small as estimated from zeta potential measurements.The attenuation of the SHG intensity was thus attributed to the overall order-disorder transition and the changed orientation of D289 molecules caused by the gradual distortion of carboxyl head group driven by backbone perturbation.展开更多

文摘Based on the Stokes wave theory, the capillary-gravity wave and the interfacial internal wave in two-layer constant depth's fluid system are investigated. The fluids are assumed to be incompressible, inviscid and irrotational. The third-order Stokes wave solutions are given by using a perturbation method. The results indicate that the third-order solutions depend on the surface tension, the density and the depth of each layer. As expected, the first-order solutions are the linear theoretical results (the small amplitude wave theoretical results). The second-order and the third-order solutions describe the nonlinear modification and the nonlinear interactions. The nonlinear impact appears not only in the n (n〉~2) times' high frequency components, but also in the low frequency components. It is also noted that the wave velocity depends on the wave number, depth, wave amplitude and surface tension.
文摘The article proposes an Equivalent Single Layer(ESL)formulation for the linear static analysis of arbitrarily-shaped shell structures subjected to general surface loads and boundary conditions.A parametrization of the physical domain is provided by employing a set of curvilinear principal coordinates.The generalized blendingmethodology accounts for a distortion of the structure so that disparate geometries can be considered.Each layer of the stacking sequence has an arbitrary orientation and is modelled as a generally anisotropic continuum.In addition,re-entrant auxetic three-dimensional honeycomb cells with soft-core behaviour are considered in the model.The unknown variables are described employing a generalized displacement field and pre-determined through-the-thickness functions assessed in a unified formulation.Then,a weak assessment of the structural problem accounts for shape functions defined with an isogeometric approach starting fromthe computational grid.Ageneralizedmethodology has been proposed to define two-dimensional distributions of static surface loads.In the same way,boundary conditions with three-dimensional features are implemented along the shell edges employing linear springs.The fundamental relations are obtained from the stationary configuration of the total potential energy,and they are numerically tackled by employing the Generalized Differential Quadrature(GDQ)method,accounting for nonuniform computational grids.In the post-processing stage,an equilibrium-based recovery procedure allows the determination of the three-dimensional dispersion of the kinematic and static quantities.Some case studies have been presented,and a successful benchmark of different structural responses has been performed with respect to various refined theories.
文摘A new displacement based higher order element has been formulated that is ideally suitable for shear deformable composite and sandwich plates. Suitable functions for displacements and rotations for each node have been selected so that the element shows rapid convergence, an excellent response against transverse shear loading and requires no shear correction factors. It is completely lock-free and behaves extremely well for thin to thick plates. To make the element rapidly convergent and to capture warping effects for composites, higher order displacement terms in the displacement kinematics have been considered for each node. The element has eleven degrees of freedom per node. Shear deformation has also been considered in the formulation by taking into account shear strains ( rxz and ryz) as nodal unknowns. The element is very simple to formulate and could be coded up in research software. A small Fortran code has been developed to implement the element and various examples of isotropic and composite plates have been analyzed to show the effectiveness of the element.
文摘The decision of local people's congresses to discuss major issues is a basic right granted to local people's congresses by the Chinese Constitution and laws.However,in practice,the implementation of the power of deliberation of major issues by local people's congresses is worrying.By applying the theory of Chinese traditionalism and unity in the theory of law,the theory of"sovereignty in the people"in the social contract theory of Western natural law school,Austin's"legal command theory55 in Western positivist law and Hart's"recognition""Rules theory"to argue that the integrity of rights necessarily involves the dual factors of decision-making and execution.At the same time,the existence and operation of the law always reflects the development of the political system.The realistic political situation requires us to make more precise and meticulous refinement of the external form and specific technical links of the legal system,and to coordinate the rules to make up the legal theory and Conflicts and conflicts in legal practice help to reform social institutions.
文摘The purpose of this study was to explore the process of family support provided by nurses to families with a borderline personality disorder (BPD) patient. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 16 nurses who had provided care to BPD patients. Data obtained from the interviews were qualitatively analyzed using a modified grounded theory approach. As an overall core category of family support processes practiced by nurses for families with BPD patients, family support practiced without awareness that the nurses were supporting families was extracted. Through this process, nurses held perceptions that were premises for family support, which were formed through their individual nursing experiences and perspectives. Nurses also had diverse perceptions concerning the image of families. Through the integration of perceptions that were premises for family support and perceptions of an image of the family, nurses underwent a process of “determination and ambivalence about the need for family support.” Then, nurses provided “family support practice” when they acknowledged the need for family support. During the “family support practice,” nurses had difficulties in providing family support. When family support was not successfully provided, nurses provided “family support practice with seeking more effective ways through trial and error.” For cases in which nurses did not acknowledge the need for intervention, they intentionally chose “not to provide family support.” Furthermore, during the “family support practice,” nurses had contradictory perspectives of family support. Such family support processes ultimately led to an awareness of the same family support required for the future. Family support was provided with “family support practice” and “family support practice with seeking more effective ways through trial and error.” In some cases, however, the process ended in “not to provide family support intentionally.” Experiences and perspectives in providing family support are important factors in carrying out future family support. Developing the positive implications of these factors and reducing psychological strain on nurses may ensure smooth implementation of family support. Thus, nurses need to recognize that they are supporting the family, which is identified as a core category.

文摘UV-Vis spectrum and the third-order nonlinear optical properties of the chiral camphor-derived β-diketonate have been studied at the B3LYP/6-31G* level. The results showed that the introduction of electron-drawing group -CF3 and -C3F7 on β-diketonate made the strongest absorption peak red-shift and the lowest energy absorption blue-shied. Introduction of -OC2H5 on the benzene or pyridine ring made the lowest energy absorption blue-shift. When the -C2H3 was introduced on the benzene or pyridine ring, the lowest energy absorption was red-shifted. Introduction of electron-donating group on β-diketonate can enlarge their nonlinear optical properties. On the contrary, the introduction of electron-drawing group dropped it down.

文摘After describing research status of super-structure for Li (Ni_(1/3)Co_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)) O_2,diffraction patterns of Li (Ni_(1/3)Co_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)) O_2 in different order parameters have been researched by Powder-cell program,including crystal structure,X-ray and neutron diffraction pattern,anomalous diffraction pattern and comparison of NiCoMn in different positions. The influence of order parameters on intensity of matrix and super-lattice diffraction lines has also been analyzed and the summarization and prospect have been made lastly.

文摘To understand and control the interfacial properties of polydiacetylenes(PDAs)vesicles withπ-conjugated backbone is very important for their colorimetric sensing of chemical and biological targets.In this work,we adopted 10,12-pentacosadiynoic acid(PCDA)as the model molecule to prepare PDAs vesicles in aqueous solution with different forms(from monomer to blue-to-purple-to-red phase)by controlling the UV irradiation dose.The variations of the interfacial conformation of PDAs vesicles during chromatic transitions were inspected by the adsorption behaviors of probe molecules(4-(4-diethylaminostyry)-1-methylpyridinium iodide,D289)on vesicle surface with surface-specific second harmonic generation(SHG)and zeta potential measurements.Resonant SHG signal from D289 adsorbed on vesicle surface attenuated sharply,and the adsorption free energy as well as the corresponding two-photon fluorescence signal decreased slightly in chromatic transitions.While,the change in the surface density of the adsorbed D289 molecules for PDAs vesicles with different forms was relatively small as estimated from zeta potential measurements.The attenuation of the SHG intensity was thus attributed to the overall order-disorder transition and the changed orientation of D289 molecules caused by the gradual distortion of carboxyl head group driven by backbone perturbation.

文摘Based on cluster variation method (CVM) and natural iteration method (MM),order-disorder phase transition in the intercalation compounds M_(1/2)TiS_2 is simulated bycomputer. The favorable conditions, under which 3^(1/2)a_0 x a_0 superstructure is formed, aregiven, and the results are in good agreement with the experiments and theoretical calculations. Therelationship between critical temperature and M-ion-vacancy interaction parameter is linear.
