Classroom questioning is one of the most important parts of teaching activities, and also the most frequently used method to carry on classroom interactions between teachers and students. English teaching process is the process of"asking"and"answering"between teachers and students. Teachers should not only pay attention to the artistry of questioning, but also attach great importance to the strategy of asking questions. Appropriate teachers' questions are conducive to cultivate students' divergent thinking, and encourage students to better master knowledge by thinking and discussing, thus contributing to classroom interactions move towards a climax. 展开更多

The most difficult and delicate part of the learning process is assessment.Assessment is difficult because during his/her accomplishment the teacher has to consider not only the acquisition of knowledge from students, but also the overall degree of development of their competencies. It is delicate, because through assessment we can influence the emotional side of students and their“willingness”to learn.Despite these facts, teachers need to evaluate students during the learning process. The purpose of the research is to find out what is the perception of teachers about the level of evaluation of students with final grade. The overall results showed that 89%of teachers agree,9%of them have a neutral attitude, and 2%do not agree that the evaluation of students with a final grade is done taking into account many aspects and using many methods, the overall average of the results,M=4.36.Based on the empirical results,it was found that teachers who have completed assessment training have a more positive approach to student assessment,as the average score is higher than teachers who have not completed assessment training. From the qualitative results it was understood that the Teachers did not encounter any difficulties during the assessment of the students. 展开更多

The purpose of this paper is to examine the development of a curriculum in Japan to foster the agency(OECD Student Agency)necessary for children living in the future,as outlined in the OECD Education2030 Project, and the role of teachers who implement this curriculum. Therefore,I aim to achieve this goal by taking an overview of educational thought, educational systems and history, and examining several initiatives in the OECD Project and the situation of a Japanese high school that practices science and mathematics education. As a result of analyzing previous research and the narratives obtained from interviews with Teacher A(pseudonym)of a certain F High School(pseudonym),it was found that school education should not simply teach subjects, but should aim to enable student to help student exercise agency in the future. It was suggested that it is not necessary to add content to the curriculum, but rather to prepare to provide students with competencies that will enable them to use the content in various contexts, situations, and circumstances, suggesting that in order to discover such important competencies, teachers and other related parties are required to implement curricula that allow students to slowly and carefully explore the competencies surrounding the content, and to conceive and build curricula that include both hidden and intended curriculum that allows student to reflect on the curriculum they have achieved. 展开更多

This is an experimental study conducted on two groups of control and experimental using pretestposttest design, applying psychological intervention on the study sample. The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of collective education life skills on mental health and resilience of teachers in Zahedan. The population of the study included all teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students in Zahedan, among which 60 teachers at normal schools and 20 teachers at exceptional schools were selected and placed in two groups of experimental and control, respectively. Initially, members of the experimental group were taught 10 basic life skills in 10 2-hour sessions. Mental health and resilience questionnaires were distributed and gathered before and after the training sessions. Results indicated the positive effect of life skills training on mental health of teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, which meant that the more the life skills training to teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, the lower their mental health scores would be. Results also indicated the positive effect of life skills training on resilience of teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, which meant that the more the life skills training to teachers at schools with normal students and teachers at schools with exceptional students, the higher their resilience scores would be. 展开更多

This article reports part of the findings of an investigation into the attitudes of Chinese English as a foreign language(EFL)education students and teachers toward Native-speakerism.Data were collected through two sets of questionnaires from 976 students and 146 teachers engaged in College English(CE)programs at six Chinese universities. The analysis of data reveals that the participants as an entirety:(a)endorse native speaker(NS)teachers,NS English and pronunciation;(b)anticipate the localization of teaching approaches emanating from the English speaking West;and(c)expect English textbooks multicultural in content. It was also found that teachers are more supportive of NS teachers and NS English while Inner Circle(Kachru,1985)teaching approaches and multicultural textbooks are more popular with students. All these findings indicate the persistence of Native-speakerism in China’s EFL education as well as the ideological resistance from Chinese EFL education stakeholders. 展开更多
