This research attempts to uncover the influence of Western scholars’activities on music education in the Jingpo areas of Dehong Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture in western Yunnan,China,during the early 20th century.The differences exist in the cultures,languages,and beliefs of the various ethnic groups in Yunnan.As such,systematic basic education is difficult to carry out in order,especially music education.However,this phenomenon changed in the early 20th century with the arrival of Western scholars.This study will analyze existing literature and data collected in fieldwork to trace the origins of Western music education in the Jingpo areas.In addition,the study intends to explore the localized and modernized music education model used by Western scholars for Jingpo.Furthermore,this research may help broaden the understanding of minority communities to the development of music education policies that precede the implementation of regulations.Additionally,it seeks to raise awareness of the music of ethnic minority groups worldwide and to achieve equality of musical education resources in ethnic minority areas as much as possible. 展开更多

The 21st century rapidly and dynamically entered in our lives in terms of the development of information communication, technological progress and unprecedented rise of scientific thought. Social upheavals of this period of history, a powerful wave of liberation movements have caused an unprecedented intensification of national creative forces committed to the development, expansion of contacts, attached to the other cultures. To date, the science of music has evolved so much on what grew out of it and separated into clearly separate spheres with their problems, trends, directions: music theory, music history, ethnomusicology, musical philosophy, and also music source studying. And it should be noted that each of these areas has its embodiment in materialized form of faculties, departments in the conservatory. Adolescence is a pivotal moment in shaping one’s character and holds great implications for one’s values and personal growth.The Gift of the Magi by O.Henry portrays how an ordinary young couple in difficult financial circumstances managed to show their love for each other,eulogizing truth,goodness,and beauty in humanity.We conducted a thorough examination of the significance of moral values conveyed in The Gift of the Magi for teenager education using the“situation-emotion-symbol”model that is based on Randall Collins’theory of interaction ritual chains in order to establish an interaction ritual chain model for moral education of teenagers.Our study reveals that situated cognition is useful in constructing the focus of attention for the moral education of teenagers;that shared emotion is the driving force for achieving moral education of teenagers;and that symbolic connections help teenagers put the virtues they’ve learned from The Gift of the Magi into action and provides effective measures that can significantly contribute to the cultivation and implementation of moral education among teenagers. 展开更多
