An Interpretation of Doris Lessing’s The Grass Is Singing from the Perspective of Polyphonic Theory

The Grass Is Singing, the famous British female writer Doris Lessing’s maiden work, has drawn much critical attention since its publication in 1950. This novel has been studied from many perspectives at home and abroad, including feminism, psychoanalysis, postcolonialism, spatial criticism, etc. In recent years, more and more scholars have paid attention to the complicated and diverse narration of this novel, but few scholars have studied its polyphonic features. This paper tries to explore the polyphonic features of this novel from its diverse narration and the subjectivity of the female protagonist Mary Turner by applying Bakhtin’s polyphonic theory.

The Three Principles of Institutional Safeguards for Women's Participation in Legislation in China

The participation of women in legislation is an important aspect and means of safeguarding women’s rights.Feminist theory,based on criticism of both the“citizenship identity theory as rights”and the“citizenship identity theory as responsibilities,”proposes the“citizenship identity theory as subjectivity.”Observing the current practice of women’s participation in legislation in China,two institutional safeguard principles can be summarized:the“minimum proportion”and the“influence evaluation.”However,each of these principles has its inherent limitations.Therefore,it is necessary to supplement them with the principle of“subjective participation”in a reflective manner.This principle requires women to participate substantively in the legislative process as subjects,express women’s needs and demands,input women’s perspectives and experiences,and reconstruct the distribution of rights and responsibilities in the existing legislation.The three principles complement each other and work together to comprehensively constitute the institutional structure of women’s participation in legislation,thereby promoting the reproduction of corresponding action structures.

The Translator's Subjectivity under George Steiner's Fourfold Translation Motion Theory-A Case Study on Lin Yutang's Translation of Fu Sheng Liu Ji

Since the advent of the cultural turn in translation studies in the 1970s, the focus of translation studies has been shifted to the subjectivity of translators. This paper attempts to make a tentative probe into the translator's subjectivity manifested in the translation of Fu Sheng Liu Ji by Shen Fu on the basis of George Steiner's fourfold translation motion theory, namely"trust", "aggression","incorporation"and"compensation". By the study, we may obtain scientific understanding of how the translation is shaped by the translator's subjectivity, thus affirming the importance and necessity of the later in literary translation.

Factors influencing the internet banking adoption decision in North Cyprus: an evidence from the partial least square approach of the structural equation modeling

Purpose:This paper aims to examine how the adoption decision of the internet banking in North Cyprus would be affected based on the following dimensions;the technology features,the personal characteristics,the social environment and the expected risk.Design/methodology/approach:A self-administered survey was conducted with 291 participants responded to it.The partial least square approach of the structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM)is employed to investigate the direct effects of the proposed factors on the adoption decision.Additionally,the mediation test is used to examine indirect effects.Findings:Results showed that even though the participants appreciated the benefits of the online banking as the perceived usefulness factor exerts the greatest direct effect,they would rather use clear and easy-to-use websites,adding to that their assessments of the usefulness of these services are significantly influenced by the surrounding people’s views and prior experience.This is demonstrated by the total effects of the perceived ease of use and the subjective norm factors,which are greater than the direct effect of the perceived usefulness factor since both of these factors have significant direct and indirect effects mediated by the perceived usefulness factor.The negative impact of the perceived risk factor is weak compared to the previous factors.While the personal innovativeness factor showed the weakest effect among the proposed factors.

Contrastive Study of English and Chinese Subjects in Perspective of Cognitive Prominence

This present paper, in perspective of cognitive prominence, the cognitive motive on the differences between English and Chinese subjects, and then explores the interpretability of the Adaptation Theory in translating the subjects. It is discovered that the blending of the cognitive prominence and the theory of adaptation is very effective in elaborating the subtle differences of English and Chinese subjects in translation, and reasonable in expounding the infeasibility of some plausible versions.

The Impact of the News Frames on Report of the 2020 Pandemic in China’s National Media

News frames is a general application of the Frame Theory in journalistic practice,and the setting of the Frame Theory in news media,to some extent,may make the news agency have more choices of the topics,more channels of the report,and more impacts on readers and audiences.It is for this reason that news media are very interested in setting up their news frame to guide their reportage.It won’t be surprised that when important affairs took place,the media set a theme for their coverage;while at the same time,audiences recognized that they are allowed to know the facts as well to evaluate the events properly.The coverage of disaster news is one of the concrete examples.However,when reading the reportage framework of the news in China,it can be seen that media would be likely to set similar frames for the focus of the report,and this potentially created complexity and difficulty in analyzing disaster news events in terms of content classification,reporting form,and news-making on effectiveness.The outbreak of the 2020 COVID-19 gathered media to work on a centralized proposal–anti-epidemic,so that textual,audio-visual contents and other forms of reporting show a diversified perspective for disaster news.This reporting form is a new challenge for Chinese news media,reflected in their practice on how Chinese government and people fought against the virus,how Chinese medical community dispatched their team to assist COVID-19 fight,and how Chinese media responded to the vilification of foreign media during that period.This paper takes three established media Hubei Daily,CCTV and China Daily as examples for an in-depth analysis.

On Creativity of Business Correspondence Translators

拥有兄弟姐妹如何影响青少年的认知能力和主观幸福感?

本研究对兄弟姐妹数量与青少年成长之间的关系进行了全面的理论探讨,并利用2010—2018年中国家庭追踪调查数据,为识别兄弟姐妹对青少年认知能力和主观幸福感的影响提供了微观证据。实证研究结果表明:拥有1个兄弟姐妹对青少年的主观幸福感有积极影响,这种影响效应随年龄增长而加强,并且在成年后依旧保持稳定;拥有兄弟姐妹可能对青少年的数学类认知能力产生负向影响,这种影响主要体现在较低学段样本中,并随年龄增长逐渐消失。本研究为父母制定生育决策时更有效地开展成本收益分析提供了支持,也为缓解养育焦虑、完善生育政策以及促进人口可持续发展提供了政策启示。

A new oil spill detection algorithm based on Dempster-Shafer evidence theory

Features of oil spills and look-alikes in polarimetric synthetic aperture radar(SAR)images always play an important role in oil spill detection.Many oil spill detection algorithms have been implemented based on these features.Although environmental factors such as wind speed are important to distinguish oil spills and look-alikes,some oil spill detection algorithms do not consider the environmental factors.To distinguish oil spills and look-alikes more accurately based on environmental factors and image features,a new oil spill detection algorithm based on Dempster-Shafer evidence theory was proposed.The process of oil spill detection taking account of environmental factors was modeled using the subjective Bayesian model.The Faster-region convolutional neural networks(RCNN)model was used for oil spill detection based on the convolution features.The detection results of the two models were fused at decision level using Dempster-Shafer evidence theory.The establishment and test of the proposed algorithm were completed based on our oil spill and look-alike sample database that contains 1798 image samples and environmental information records related to the image samples.The analysis and evaluation of the proposed algorithm shows a good ability to detect oil spills at a higher detection rate,with an identifi cation rate greater than 75%and a false alarm rate lower than 19%from experiments.A total of 12 oil spill SAR images were collected for the validation and evaluation of the proposed algorithm.The evaluation result shows that the proposed algorithm has a good performance on detecting oil spills with an overall detection rate greater than 70%.

Evaluation on Pipao＇ s Construction Comfort by Fuzzy Theory

Comfort is one of the most important attributes demanded by bra consumers. It reflects the psychological feeling of a wearer.Different kinds of knitted fabric are chosen as bra samples in this paper. This subject studied the bra＇s comfort sensations by carrying out a series of subjective wear at temperature at 21± 2℃ and humidity of 65±3%. By exploratory analysis of the subjective ratings on 3 mainly sensory factors （thermal, moisture and tightness）, the relationships between 3 factors are studied under three conditions, before, during and after movement. This study is focused on subjective evaluation ofbra＇ s comfort sensations of made of different knitted fabrics. Finally, based on fuzzy theory, the comprehensive comfort sensations of these fabrics in different wear conditions are analyzed and evaluated.

作为一级学科,中共党史党建学要有源自并属于本学科的理论,中共党史党建学理论是必设的二级学科。搭建中共党史党建学理论自主的整体性框架,主要包括基本结构层面和功能运行层面。前者针对的是内部组成要素,涉及本体论、认识论和方法论;后者则针对研究过程中的边界与操作,从学理上将中共党史党建学理论研究同史学理论研究、政治学理论研究等相邻学科理论区分开来。作为独立的学科,中共党史党建学理论既不要理论依附、理论移植,也不要理论泛化,而是基于理论与实践通过有机联动、相互支撑、共同发展等手段而最终定型。中共党史党建学理论,不仅能够促进学科建设,更有利于服务中国共产党的治国理政。

批判信息学:守护信息活动中的主体性

批判信息学聚焦于信息技术应用对信息活动中主体性的冲击,探寻从制度和技术角度守护主体性的路径,是对信息环境复杂化趋势的一种学术响应。本文对批判信息学进行溯源,梳理其逻辑合理性和研究特征,认为批判信息学作为一种新的信息学认识论,聚焦于信息活动中用户的主体地位缺失问题,从负面作用角度对信息管理活动展开辩证性思考。同时,批判信息学已经成长为一个新兴研究领域,它以守护信息活动中的主体性为价值取向,主要有三种研究目标,从技术批判和规范批判两个角度展开,已覆盖宏观、中观和微观三个层次的问题。我国信息学领域有必要将批判信息学作为重要研究方向加以建设,实现从“利用信息技术”向“构建信息秩序”延伸,从服务于被动的用户向提升用户的自主性转向,面向广阔的问题空间展开通观性思考。参考文献62。

当代西方马克思主义思潮的嬗变及其核心问题意识

以西方马克思主义百年发展的时间逻辑为主线,在阐发其代表人物及其历史事件所构筑的思想嬗变的过程中,提炼出主导西方马克思主义发展的核心问题:即指向革命主体(性)的建构以及其革命的可能性条件的前提性批判。其中,着重探讨了早期批判理论伴随着资本主义生产方式的变迁,特别是国家资本主义的诞生所带来的对马克思政治经济学批判路径的扬弃。彰显西方马克思主义在面向资本主义批判过程中的理论得失,其中将对经济结构的批判转向了对政治和文化的批判是其理论在当代失去批判的根本原因。基于此,以二十世纪七十年代为界,西方马克思主义思想家们呈现出两种不同的批判路径:其一,建立在“需要体系”基础上以劳动和资本的对抗为核心展开的批判;其二则是资本逻辑成为显性逻辑后由“欲望体系”所构筑的主体生成性批判。西方马克思主义理论与资本主义发展新形态的同步演进,不仅体现出批判理论面对资本逻辑试图保持的自觉意识的抗争,也为今天马克思主义理论面向资本逻辑所展开的批判带来了更多借鉴和思考。

阶级、结构与《资本论》范畴学——马克思工资理论探析

《资本论》工资由主体论所规定:工资不仅是外在的壳——工资形式,也是内在的瓤——针对资本的批判,突出阶级关系当事人对于工艺者的系统支配性。《资本论》范畴学取决于经济理论的两面性:“资本的政治经济学”和“劳动的政治经济学”。工资既是资本的经济结果,也是资本的统治前提。马克思抓住“资本工资”这个论证中心,工资一般的理解维度据此定格为“阶级—统治—剥削—拜物教”这一模式。由于马克思的理论努力,《资本论》实质性提出了“马克思主义的工资范畴学”,作为两重统一的规定性:算法工资(主体范畴)与雇佣工资(经济范畴)的统一以及阶级工资(劳动力社会价格)与市场工资(劳动力市场价格)的统一。《资本论》工资的系统实现论从中得以确认。一旦从资产者的权利意识的束缚中走出,“工资拜物教”即被瓦解,围绕生活资料安排的系统规划将替代对工资收入水平的单一追求。
