Predicting the Threshold Values based on Diffusion Model of Nitrite Ions in Reinforced Concrete

The prediction model for inhibition effect of reinforced concrete was presented based on the Magge＇s model when the concrete surface was brushed with nitrite solution. The influence of the amount of nitrite solution on inhibiting duration was also discussed through a simulation analysis when the amount of solution were 250 g/m^2, 500 g/m^2, 1000 g/m^2 and 1500 g/m^2, respectively. The experimental results confirm that nitrite ion can diffuse well in concrete to reach an effective mol ratio from the surface of the concrete to the surface of the reinforcement, and has an effective protection for the bars against corrosion. The higher the amount of solution, the better it will accelerate getting the threshold value of mol ratio on the surface of rebar, and retarding the time for loosing the effective threshold value of mol ratio. It helps to increase the tendency of inhibiting duration and prolong the life of reinforced concrete. The nitrite solution amount is used to predict the corrosion inhibiting duration of concrete that contains chloride salt.

Natural history and cycle threshold values analysis of COVID-19 in Xiamen City,China

Objective:This study elaborated the natural history parameters of Delta variant,explored the differences in detection cycle thresholds(Ct)among cases.Methods:Natural history parameters were calculated based on the different onset time and exposure time of the cases.Intergenerational relationships between generations of cases were calculated.Differences in Ct values of cases by gender,age,and mode of detection were analyzed statistically to assess the detoxification capacity of cases.Results:The median incubation period was 4 days;the detection time for cases decreased from 25 to 7 h as the outbreak continued.The average generation time(GT),time interval between transmission generations(TG)and serial interval(SI)were 3.6±2.6 days,1.67±2.11 days and 1.7±3.0 days.Among the Ct values,we found little differences in testing across companies,but there were some differences in the gender of detected genes.The Ct values continuous to decreased with age,but increased when the age was greater than 60.Conclusion:This epidemic was started from aggregation of factories.It is more reasonable to use SI to calculate the effective reproduction number and the time-varying reproduction number.And the analysis of Ct values can improve the positive detection rate and improve prevention and control measures.

Effectiveness of inhibitors in increasing chloride threshold value for steel corrosion

This investigation was aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of corrosion inhibitors in increasing the chloride threshold value for steel corrosion. Three types of corrosion inhibitors, calcium nitrite （Ca（NO2）2）, zinc oxide （ZnO）, and N,N＇-dimethylaminoethanol （DMEA）, which respectively represented the anodic inhibitor, cathodic inhibitor, and mixed inhibitor, were chosen. The experiment was carried out in a saturated calcium hydroxide （Ca（OH）2） solution to simulate the electrolytic environment of concrete. The inhibitors were initially mixed at different levels, and then chloride ions were gradually added into the solution in several steps. The open-circuit potential （Ecorr） and corrosion current density （lcorr） determined by electrochemical impedance spectra （EIS） were used to identify the initiation of active corrosion, thereby determining the chloride threshold value. It was found that although all the inhibitors were effective in decreasing the corrosion rate of steel reinforcement, they had a marginal effect on increasing the chloride threshold value.

Novel Method to Determine the Image Segmentation Threshold during the Quantitative Test on Meso-structure of Geo-material

As a kind of special material in geotechnical engineering, the mudded weak interlayer plays a crucial part in slope stability. In this paper, we presented a method to determine the threshold value of section micrographs of the mudded weak interlayer in slope during its meso-structure qualification process. Some soil tests, scanning electron microscopy（SEM） and image segmentation technology were performed to fulfill our purpose. Specifically, the relation between 3 D-porosity and the threshold was obtained by least square fitting of the threshold-porosity curves and a simplified pore equivalent model. Using this relation and the 3 D-porosity determined by soil experiments, we can figure out the polynomial equation of the threshold value. The threshold values obtained by the other existing methods in literature were employed to validate our present results.

THRESHOLD VALUE FOR DIAGNOSIS OF CHAOTIC NATURE OF THE DATA OBTAINED IN NONLINEAR DYNAMIC ANALYSIS

In this paper surrogate data method of phase-randomized is proposed to identify the random or chaotic nature of the data obtained in dynamic analysis: The calculating results validate the phase-randomized method to be useful as it can increase the extent of accuracy of the results. And the calculating results show that threshold values of the random timeseries and nonlinear chaotic timeseries have marked difference.

MICROFRACTOGRAPHY OF NEAR-THRESHOLD FATIGUE CRACK PROPAGATION IN DUAL-PHASE STEELS

SEM microfractography of near-threshold fatigue crack propagation were carried out in the dual-phase steels of 3 martensite morphologies and 6 volume fractions of martensite (V_m). All of them are featured by cyclic cleavage characteristics in near-threshold region,i.e.,main- ly controlled by mode Ⅱ stress.In the higher ΔK regions,the fracture surfaces are character- ized by mixed modes including cyclic cleavage facets,two types of secondary cracks and striations,etc..The roughness-induced crack closure of fracture surface is attributed primarily to extreme high fatigue crack growth threshold values.

DWT-SVD Based Image Steganography Using Threshold Value Encryption Method

Digital image steganography technique based on hiding the secret data behind of cover image in such a way that it is not detected by the human visual system.This paper presents an image scrambling method that is very useful for grayscale secret images.In this method,the secret image decomposes in three parts based on the pixel’s threshold value.The division of the color image into three parts is very easy based on the color channel but in the grayscale image,it is difficult to implement.The proposed image scrambling method is implemented in image steganography using discrete wavelet transform(DWT),singular value decomposition(SVD),and sorting function.There is no visual difference between the stego image and the cover image.The extracted secret image is also similar to the original secret image.The proposed algorithm outcome is compared with the existed image steganography techniques.The comparative results show the strength of the proposed technique.

Optimized quantum singular value thresholding algorithm based on a hybrid quantum computer

Quantum singular value thresholding(QSVT) algorithm,as a core module of many mathematical models,seeks the singular values of a sparse and low rank matrix exceeding a threshold and their associated singular vectors.The existing all-qubit QSVT algorithm demands lots of ancillary qubits,remaining a huge challenge for realization on nearterm intermediate-scale quantum computers.In this paper,we propose a hybrid QSVT(HQSVT) algorithm utilizing both discrete variables(DVs) and continuous variables(CVs).In our algorithm,raw data vectors are encoded into a qubit system and the following data processing is fulfilled by hybrid quantum operations.Our algorithm requires O [log(MN)] qubits with0(1) qumodes and totally performs 0(1) operations,which significantly reduces the space and runtime consumption.

一类具有脉冲接种、双时滞的SEIRS传染病模型研究分析（英文）

In this paper, an SEIRS epidemic model with pulse vaccination and two time delays is proposed. By using stroboscopic map and comparison principle, the disease-free periodic solution(DFPS for short) is obtained and the global asymptotic stability of the DFPS is proved. The sufficient conditions for the permanence of the model are obtained. In addition, numerical simulations are done to confirm our theoretical results.

Fault Diagnosis for Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor(MAP) of Diesel Engine Based on Elman Neural Network Observer

Intake system of diesel engine is a strong nonlinear system, and it is difficult to establish accurate model of intake system; and bias fault and precision degradation fault of MAP of diesel engine can＇t be diagnosed easily using model-based methods. Thus, a fault diagnosis method based on Elman neural network observer is proposed. By comparing simulation results of intake pressure based on BP network and Elman neural network, lower sampling error magnitude is gained using Elman neural network, and the error is less volatile. Forecast accuracy is between 0.015？0.017 5 and sample error is controlled within 0？0.07. Considering the output stability and complexity of solving comprehensively, Elman neural network with a single hidden layer and with 44 nodes is presented as intake system observer. By comparing the relations of confidence intervals of the residual value between the measured and predicted values, error variance and failures in various fault types. Then four typical MAP faults of diesel engine can be diagnosed： complete failure fault, bias fault, precision degradation fault and drift fault. The simulation results show： intake pressure is observable and selection of diagnostic strategy parameter reasonably can increase the accuracy of diagnosis;the proposed fault diagnosis method only depends on data and structural parameters of observer, not depends on the nonlinear model of air intake system. A fault diagnosis method is proposed not depending system model to observe intake pressure, and bias fault and precision degradation fault of MAP of diesel engine can be diagnosed based on residuals.

Simulation of the Surface Hydrology of Dalinghe Watershed Automatically Based on SRTM DEM

[Objective] The aim was to simulate the surface water flow of Dalinghe watershed based on SRTM DEM.[Method] By using ArcGIS ModelBuilder,and SRTM DEM data of Dalinghe watershed as input data,the model to simulate the water flow of Dalinghe watershed was set up.[Result] The model realized automatic division of Dalinghe watershed area and extraction of stream network.In the meantime,it also made the choice of threshold during filling DEM and extracting stream network much easier.The division of the Dalinghe watershed was precise and the extraction result of Dalinghe and its corresponding level Ⅰ tributary river was close to actual stream network.However,the extraction of the smaller stream was less accurate.[Conclusion] The study provided scientific reference for the simulation of surface water network in future.

The role of local field potential coupling in epileptic synchronization

This review hopes to clearly explain the following viewpoints： （1） Neuronal synchronization underlies brain functioning, and it seems possible that blocking excessive synchronization in an epileptic neural network could reduce or even control seizures. （2） Local field potential coupling is a very common phenomenon during synchronization in networks. Removal of neurons or neuronal networks that are coupled can significantly alter the extracellular field potential. Interventions of coupling mediated by local field potentials could result in desynchronization of epileptic seizures. （3） The synchronized electrical activity generated by neurons is sensitive to changes in the size of the extracellular space, which affects the efficiency of field potential transmission and the threshold of cell excitability. （4） Manipulations of the field potential fluctuations could help block synchronization at seizure onset.

GENERALIZED FUZZY FILTERS OF BL-ALGEBRAS

The concept of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy interval value with an interval valued fuzzy set is considered. In fact, this is a generalization of quasi-coincidence of a fuzzy point with a fuzzy set. By using this new idea, the notion of interval valued （∈,∈ ∨q）-fuzzy filters in BL-algebras which is a generalization of fuzzy filters of BL-algebras, is defined, and related properties are investigated. In particular, the concept of a fuzzy subgroup with thresholds is extended to the concept of an interval valued fuzzy filter with thresholds in BL-algebras.

A MODIFIED ALGORITHM FOR DEALING WITH HOLDER FRICTION BOUNDARY CONDITION IN SIMULATION OF SHEET METAL FORMING

This paper investigates the equivalent model for the friction boundary condition between blank and holder during sheet metal forming simulation, and proposes an equivalent algorithm, the thickness threshold value algorithm, for the first time based on thickness weighting. This algorithm assumes that the holder clearance is uniform during sheet metal forming; and the main reason for the unevenness of friction force distribution under the holder is that the uneven deformation of the blank leads to its uneven thickness distribution, which makes the local pressure on the blank distributed unevenly. The algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively simulate the influence of the unevenness on the forming process. Validity of this algorithm is verified by a comparison between the simulation results and the experimental ones for the drawing process of a car spring base.

FATIGUE BEHAVIOUR OF M/B DUPLEX STRUCTURE IN A HIGH CARBON Cr-Mo-W STEEL

Determination was carried out of fatigue crack propagation rate of steel 65Cr5Mo3W2VSiTi (LM2)with various bainite contents and M/B duplex structure tempered at various tempera- tures.The threshold value of fatigue for each processing was estimated by experimental data. The mechanism for fatigue crack propagation of M/B duplex structure in steel LM2 seems to be non-continuous.The calculated fatigue crack micro-propagation rates are found to agree with the experimental data.

Forgery Detection Using Inconsistent Reflection Vanishing Point

The rapid development of image processing techniques has made it extremely easy to alter the content of images or create newimages.So photographs,which appear in magazines,social media,and political attacks,can no longer be trusted.A novel and effective technique is proposed in this paper to expose image forgery using inconsistent reflection vanishing point(RVP).More specifically,the definition of error distance is given,sin^2()-based function is proposed to normalize error distance,and a reasonable threshold value is set to detect image forgery.The experimental data and results are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of the technique.

INVESTIGATION OF INFLUENCE OF HYDROGEN ATTACK ONFATIGUE PROPERTIES OF PRESSURE VESSEL STEELS

Influence of hydrogen attack on mechanical and fatigue properties of 1020, 15CrMo and 2.25Cr-1Mo steels has been studied, which were exposed to gaseous hydrogen at pressure of 18MPa and 300-480℃ for up to 480h. The results of fatigue test showed that hydrogen attack (HA) resulted in an obvious change in fatigue properties of 1020 and 15CrMo steels, however, 2.25Cr-1Mo steel showed a lower susceptibility to hydrogen attack due to the addition of Cr and Mo. Fatigue crack behaviour for 1020 steel is attributed to hydrogen attack damage and the crack closure induced by the rough cracking surface, which lead to a valley on △Kth～HA% plot. The change in the fatigue behaviour of 15CrMo steel is possibly caused by severe surface decarburization.

A Schistosomiasis Model with Diffusion Effects

In this paper, we propose a schistosomiasis model in which two human groups share the water contaminated by schistosomiasis and migrate each other. The dynamical behavior of the model is studied. By calculation, the threshold value is given, which determines whether the disease will be extinct or not. The existence and global stability of the parasite-free equilibrium and the locally stability of the endemic equilibrium are discussed. Numerical simulations indicate that the diffusion from the mild endemic village to severe endemic village is benefit to control schistosomiasis transmission;otherwise it is bad for the disease control.

Direct observation of λ-DNA molecule reversal movement within microfluidic channels under electric field with single molecule imaging technique

The electrodynamic characteristics of single DNA molecules moving within micro-/nano-fluidic channels are important in the design of biomedical chips and bimolecular sensors. In this study, the dynamic properties of λ-DNA molecules transferring along the microchannels driven by the external electrickinetic force were systemically investigated with the single molecule fluorescence imaging technique. The experimental results indicated that the velocity of DNA molecules was strictly dependent on the value of the applied electric field and the diameter of the channel. The larger the external electric field, the larger the velocity, and the more significant deformation of DNA molecules. More meaningfully, it was found that the moving directions of DNA molecules had two completely different directions：（i） along the direction of the external electric field, when the electric field intensity was smaller than a certain threshold value;（ii） opposite to the direction of the external electric field, when the electric field intensity was greater than the threshold electric field intensity.The reversal movement of DNA molecules was mainly determined by the competition between the electrophoresis force and the influence of electro-osmosis flow. These new findings will theoretically guide the practical application of fluidic channel sensors and lab-on-chips for precisely manipulating single DNA molecules.

An Identification Model of Health States of Machine Wear Based on Oil Analysis

This paper presents a modeling procedure for deriving a single value measurebased on a regression model, and a method for determining a statistical threshold value asidentification criterion of normal or abnormal states of machine wear. A real numerical example isexamined by the method and identification criterion presented. The results indicate that thejudgments by the presented methods are basically consistent with the real facts, and therefore themethod and identification criterion are valuable for judging the normal or abnormal state of machinewear based on oil analysis.
