Predicting the Threshold Values based on Diffusion Model of Nitrite Ions in Reinforced Concrete 被引量:1

The prediction model for inhibition effect of reinforced concrete was presented based on the Magge's model when the concrete surface was brushed with nitrite solution. The influence of the amount of nitrite solution on inhibiting duration was also discussed through a simulation analysis when the amount of solution were 250 g/m^2, 500 g/m^2, 1000 g/m^2 and 1500 g/m^2, respectively. The experimental results confirm that nitrite ion can diffuse well in concrete to reach an effective mol ratio from the surface of the concrete to the surface of the reinforcement, and has an effective protection for the bars against corrosion. The higher the amount of solution, the better it will accelerate getting the threshold value of mol ratio on the surface of rebar, and retarding the time for loosing the effective threshold value of mol ratio. It helps to increase the tendency of inhibiting duration and prolong the life of reinforced concrete. The nitrite solution amount is used to predict the corrosion inhibiting duration of concrete that contains chloride salt. 展开更多

Objective:This study elaborated the natural history parameters of Delta variant,explored the differences in detection cycle thresholds(Ct)among cases.Methods:Natural history parameters were calculated based on the different onset time and exposure time of the cases.Intergenerational relationships between generations of cases were calculated.Differences in Ct values of cases by gender,age,and mode of detection were analyzed statistically to assess the detoxification capacity of cases.Results:The median incubation period was 4 days;the detection time for cases decreased from 25 to 7 h as the outbreak continued.The average generation time(GT),time interval between transmission generations(TG)and serial interval(SI)were 3.6±2.6 days,1.67±2.11 days and 1.7±3.0 days.Among the Ct values,we found little differences in testing across companies,but there were some differences in the gender of detected genes.The Ct values continuous to decreased with age,but increased when the age was greater than 60.Conclusion:This epidemic was started from aggregation of factories.It is more reasonable to use SI to calculate the effective reproduction number and the time-varying reproduction number.And the analysis of Ct values can improve the positive detection rate and improve prevention and control measures. 展开更多

This investigation was aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of corrosion inhibitors in increasing the chloride threshold value for steel corrosion. Three types of corrosion inhibitors, calcium nitrite (Ca(NO2)2), zinc oxide (ZnO), and N,N'-dimethylaminoethanol (DMEA), which respectively represented the anodic inhibitor, cathodic inhibitor, and mixed inhibitor, were chosen. The experiment was carried out in a saturated calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) solution to simulate the electrolytic environment of concrete. The inhibitors were initially mixed at different levels, and then chloride ions were gradually added into the solution in several steps. The open-circuit potential (Ecorr) and corrosion current density (lcorr) determined by electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) were used to identify the initiation of active corrosion, thereby determining the chloride threshold value. It was found that although all the inhibitors were effective in decreasing the corrosion rate of steel reinforcement, they had a marginal effect on increasing the chloride threshold value. 展开更多

As a kind of special material in geotechnical engineering, the mudded weak interlayer plays a crucial part in slope stability. In this paper, we presented a method to determine the threshold value of section micrographs of the mudded weak interlayer in slope during its meso-structure qualification process. Some soil tests, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and image segmentation technology were performed to fulfill our purpose. Specifically, the relation between 3 D-porosity and the threshold was obtained by least square fitting of the threshold-porosity curves and a simplified pore equivalent model. Using this relation and the 3 D-porosity determined by soil experiments, we can figure out the polynomial equation of the threshold value. The threshold values obtained by the other existing methods in literature were employed to validate our present results. 展开更多

Intake system of diesel engine is a strong nonlinear system, and it is difficult to establish accurate model of intake system; and bias fault and precision degradation fault of MAP of diesel engine can't be diagnosed... Intake system of diesel engine is a strong nonlinear system, and it is difficult to establish accurate model of intake system; and bias fault and precision degradation fault of MAP of diesel engine can't be diagnosed easily using model-based methods. Thus, a fault diagnosis method based on Elman neural network observer is proposed. By comparing simulation results of intake pressure based on BP network and Elman neural network, lower sampling error magnitude is gained using Elman neural network, and the error is less volatile. Forecast accuracy is between 0.015?0.017 5 and sample error is controlled within 0?0.07. Considering the output stability and complexity of solving comprehensively, Elman neural network with a single hidden layer and with 44 nodes is presented as intake system observer. By comparing the relations of confidence intervals of the residual value between the measured and predicted values, error variance and failures in various fault types. Then four typical MAP faults of diesel engine can be diagnosed: complete failure fault, bias fault, precision degradation fault and drift fault. The simulation results show: intake pressure is observable and selection of diagnostic strategy parameter reasonably can increase the accuracy of diagnosis;the proposed fault diagnosis method only depends on data and structural parameters of observer, not depends on the nonlinear model of air intake system. A fault diagnosis method is proposed not depending system model to observe intake pressure, and bias fault and precision degradation fault of MAP of diesel engine can be diagnosed based on residuals. 展开更多

This review hopes to clearly explain the following viewpoints: (1) Neuronal synchronization underlies brain functioning, and it seems possible that blocking excessive synchronization in an epileptic neural network could reduce or even control seizures. (2) Local field potential coupling is a very common phenomenon during synchronization in networks. Removal of neurons or neuronal networks that are coupled can significantly alter the extracellular field potential. Interventions of coupling mediated by local field potentials could result in desynchronization of epileptic seizures. (3) The synchronized electrical activity generated by neurons is sensitive to changes in the size of the extracellular space, which affects the efficiency of field potential transmission and the threshold of cell excitability. (4) Manipulations of the field potential fluctuations could help block synchronization at seizure onset. 展开更多

This paper investigates the equivalent model for the friction boundary condition between blank and holder during sheet metal forming simulation, and proposes an equivalent algorithm, the thickness threshold value algorithm, for the first time based on thickness weighting. This algorithm assumes that the holder clearance is uniform during sheet metal forming; and the main reason for the unevenness of friction force distribution under the holder is that the uneven deformation of the blank leads to its uneven thickness distribution, which makes the local pressure on the blank distributed unevenly. The algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively simulate the influence of the unevenness on the forming process. Validity of this algorithm is verified by a comparison between the simulation results and the experimental ones for the drawing process of a car spring base. 展开更多

Influence of hydrogen attack on mechanical and fatigue properties of 1020, 15CrMo and 2.25Cr-1Mo steels has been studied, which were exposed to gaseous hydrogen at pressure of 18MPa and 300-480℃ for up to 480h. The results of fatigue test showed that hydrogen attack (HA) resulted in an obvious change in fatigue properties of 1020 and 15CrMo steels, however, 2.25Cr-1Mo steel showed a lower susceptibility to hydrogen attack due to the addition of Cr and Mo. Fatigue crack behaviour for 1020 steel is attributed to hydrogen attack damage and the crack closure induced by the rough cracking surface, which lead to a valley on △Kth~HA% plot. The change in the fatigue behaviour of 15CrMo steel is possibly caused by severe surface decarburization. 展开更多

The dynamical behavior of the model is studied. By calculation, the threshold value is given, which determines whether the disease will be extinct or not. The existence and global stability of the parasite-free equilibrium and the locally stability of the endemic equilibrium are discussed. Numerical simulations indicate that the diffusion from the mild endemic village to severe endemic village is benefit to control schistosomiasis transmission;otherwise it is bad for the disease control. 展开更多

The electrodynamic characteristics of single DNA molecules moving within micro-/nano-fluidic channels are important in the design of biomedical chips and bimolecular sensors. In this study, the dynamic properties of λ-DNA molecules transferring along the microchannels driven by the external electrickinetic force were systemically investigated with the single molecule fluorescence imaging technique. The experimental results indicated that the velocity of DNA molecules was strictly dependent on the value of the applied electric field and the diameter of the channel. The larger the external electric field, the larger the velocity, and the more significant deformation of DNA molecules. More meaningfully, it was found that the moving directions of DNA molecules had two completely different directions:(i) along the direction of the external electric field, when the electric field intensity was smaller than a certain threshold value;(ii) opposite to the direction of the external electric field, when the electric field intensity was greater than the threshold electric field intensity.The reversal movement of DNA molecules was mainly determined by the competition between the electrophoresis force and the influence of electro-osmosis flow. These new findings will theoretically guide the practical application of fluidic channel sensors and lab-on-chips for precisely manipulating single DNA molecules. 展开更多

This paper presents a modeling procedure for deriving a single value measurebased on a regression model, and a method for determining a statistical threshold value asidentification criterion of normal or abnormal states of machine wear. A real numerical example isexamined by the method and identification criterion presented. The results indicate that thejudgments by the presented methods are basically consistent with the real facts, and therefore themethod and identification criterion are valuable for judging the normal or abnormal state of machinewear based on oil analysis. 展开更多
